About -
23 year old college kid. I've made stupid PGC threads before, and never followed through. That is like my poker career, I've never taken it seriously. I've made stupid choices, I've had terrible BRM and whenever I bink a tournament I bink the funds away playing higher buy-ins.

Goals -
I want to get staked by a stable to accelerate my learning. I also want to learn how to have discipline. My daily goals are listed below and will be FOLLOWED strictly. If I give up, I give up on my dream of playing. I will focus, I will study and I will improve.

Dailies that must be followed -

5:00 AM Wake up
5:05 AM 1 Mile Run
5:30 AM 30 Minute Book Reading/Video on Run it ONCE
6:00 AM Shower
6:24 AM Leave for work
4:00 PM Home from Work
4:30 PM Start Play

Bankroll Start: $4 + 538 CP's ($5.38 in entries)

Plan:
Focus on $.55 On Demand tournaments
Focus on CardChat freerolls when they run
Once bankroll is around $100 move to 5NL

I also submit a thread selling shares into $5.50 buy in tournaments on Cardschat, so if that sells out for 50% then I'll be pretty happy because it'll really speed up the process if I can stay in the positive.

Also if I land a stake, that would obviously help me a lot.

I know I'm close to a $50 reward bonus on ACR so when that hits, it'll speed up this early grind.

This might take forever, but I will stay honest and update you guys hopefully on a nightly basis. Thank you for following! Hand reviews will be posted as well.

If I were you I would deposit more so you can have a real bankroll. You will definitely get frustrated grinding for literal pennies for weeks on end.

Ended up taking a staking offer from IMAWHALE.

My schedule is long, and has some good shots at 25k's etc.

I've played 40 MTT's and had so many FT's but keep finishing early between 7th-9th.

Here is my stats:
Total Profit/(Loss) $ 340.09
MTTs Played 44.00
Total Buy Ins $809.20
ROI 42.03%
ABI $ 18.39

No big tournaments as of yet to post.. had so many opportunities but I die badly at the FT lol.

Blog Post #1:

Wow, I’m committing to something important… is this REAL ****ING LIFE? Let me tell you guys a little backstory into myself... I recently graduated college, got a business degree and am currently working a temporary job with the City. Ironically, I make more money than all my friends ($35 an hour) but it ends in December. I’ve been applying to places, but because of a misdemeanor on my record, I’m super hesitant to accept any interview (I’ve received a lot). I don’t want to discuss what happened (IT’S A ****ING STORY AND A HALF) until I get a following here and am paid to tell you… just kidding. So what do I write in a blog? Do I talk about my struggles in life? My struggles getting to this point? Only poker related? **** all that. I’m going to write whatever the **** I want, but I’ll start with poker.
I’m a no-one in the poker world, but that’ll change. I love the game. I don’t love the money, I love everything to do with the game and I have this mindset that if you love something, you’ll persevere. Think about a paper you’ve been forced to write versus a paper you could pick the topic? Think about how many High School athletes would have been studs in college, but played the game other than love for it. It all correlates in my mind. Ironically, I would make money playing tournaments on ACR/Bovada but whenever I landed a major score, I punted it away playing higher stakes. I started to take poker more serious, and the only way for me to physically do that is to join a stable. I know that joining a stable I’d be forced to follow a schedule and BRM, and so I got lucky and got picked up by IMAWHALE staking. It has been great, all buy-ins under $20 essentially, and all the majors on American sites (100k’s and daily Bovada 25k). This gives me a lot of options, and the potential to show my work ethic panning out… let’s hope my updates are positive. My study material currently is Gripsed MTT Bundle and RIO pro videos.

Life story: Well I basically work from 7-3:30… I don’t do much work because the platform I’m updating is 13,000 companies and I must delete them 1 by 1 and each page takes 10 minutes to load. I then go home, and start up my session around 4:00 PM PST. This gives me all the major tournaments, but I’m not spending a ton of time 1 on 1 with my girlfriend which doesn’t bother her… but I feel as though it might soon. She knows my passion and my dream, and she supports it but she doesn’t know that if I make it big on the American sites, my only option is to relocate. I’ve been thinking about relocating because I have this mindset that my misdemeanor won’t get me a job… even though I have a college degree in Business and am a very likeable person. The good thing is that it is dismissed in March from my record, and life will be much easier in the job search. I’ve been looking at options for teaching English across seas part time, and play poker the rest of the time. The offers are basically $1k-2k USD a month but they pay for airfare/rent so my money would just go straight into savings… but I would probably lose the girlfriend I have… and I genuinely love her. I know I’m supposed to be with her, so right now I’m trying to figure out how to balance life. I also haven’t been active, at all. I used to run track in college, and ever since college has been done (6 months) I have exercised twice. I also have been smoking weed, heavily. It calms me when I play, but how much is it hindering me? I want to focus on this mindset that I’ll wake up an hour earlier then I normally do, do a short one mile run, study a RIO/Book and start my day… but I just can’t fathom how such a simple change will change your whole life. We will see though because starting tomorrow… I’m going to do it.

Funny story: Basically, my buddy invited me to play a basketball tournament that had a $400 prize at some random HS. Obviously, I accepted, but knew I’d be out of shape… and that’s an understatement. I was miserable, but our team was stacked with college players and we EASILY won the entire thing… after that we went to eat and prepare for the night. I haven’t drank in like 6 months and I knew my hangovers are getting progressively worse from my college days when I could pound a full fifth, pass out and wake up with a baby hangover and think the world was over. I ended up bar hopping in Seattle and made it to two bars and didn’t remember a single thing after we walked into the second bar… I also had 4 drinks on the night. Apparently, I wasn’t embarrassing or anything, but I puked all night and all morning and didn’t get out of bed… let’s just say I won’t be drinking for a while lol.
Either way, I plan to make a post like this EVERY day. I will write it at work while I wait for the platform to load (6 out of the 8 hours I work is spent waiting for this ****ing page to load). I hope you guys enjoy it, and as I get more comfortable I’ll tell you some more sex related/college related stories in my past. Hope you all enjoy!

Poker Results:
Nothing major happened, oh well. Had 4 winning days, then 2 losing days in a row.. hope I can turn it around. Have been running absolutely miserable. Oh well though, will be more results and pictures and **** once I FT something cool. Enjoy

Blog Post:
Sorry about the delayed response. I’ve just been lazy. I’m not sure how else to say it. I went on a major 3 day MTT downswing and it was painful. I think I cashed 3 events out of over 40… and nothing relevant. I haven’t done anything physical since… well… my last post. I’m smoking constantly when I’m home, and honestly, I’m disappointed in my effort, but it’s time to change. Something snapped in me at work the last two days, I decided I wanted to change. I went ahead and bought a video from Tinnion. It has been amazing, it is short and precise but is packed with MTT assistance (although pricey and basic). I would say it is beneficial if you are below a $20 ABI and grinding MTT’s. I decided that I wouldn’t play more than 6 tournaments, and if more than 4… I won’t do anything else but those tournaments (as in video games). I made some deep runs, and then I binked a 2nd in the Bovada 25k for my biggest cash ever for $3,888. It was a sign, time to GRIND.

Poker Related:
Stoked to have that deep run, although I did want to win it. I had some insane hands early and the tournament just had a feel. I remember getting it in with like 20 left, short stacked with JJ vs TT and holding… then I jam on the button with 9 BB 93ss and get a fold and show the BB… next hand I pick up AJss and I jam from Button+1 and he calls from the SB (We both were about 10th/11th) and I knew he would with a marginal hand because the fact I showed the 93 previously. I held, had the chip lead and dominated until the FT where I fell 8/8… doubled up and stole some pots and all of a sudden was 4/5 with two major big stacks. Suddenly big stack jams and two short stacks calls... big stack wins and we are down the 3. Big stack knocks out 2nd and I’m down 5-1 to chips and can’t spin it up for the win.

I’m happy, and I’m sure the stable is as well. I have rent for March paid now, and I can just focus on tournaments (full time in JAN). I really do want to leave for 3 months and play with POCARR and really grind, but I haven’t decided what my plan is. I’ve decided to have a routine though, and it’ll be listed below:

- 5:00 AM wake up

- 5:10 AM run

- 5:30 AM study for 30-45 minutes

- 6:25 AM leave for work

- Study @ work all day + work a little

- Home @ 3:45, start session at 4:00 PM

I’ll play every day but Friday. End of story, this is how it’ll go.

Funny Story:
Went to GF’s Thanksgiving. I have a great relationship with their parents, so nothing was weird. Everyone was done eating, so I went to pick everyone’s plate up and take it to the kitchen. They have a dog gate, I pushed it open… but the bottom got stuck. I tripped, couldn’t stop myself so smashed my face into the plates, plates smashed all over the ground and covered in food. Also, plates broke where my finger was so my finger was cut open badly. Lol.

Blog Post:

Sorry for the delay, but that is the last delay you’ll see for awhile. My temporary job has ended and I’m ready to focus on my new schedule which is listed here:

  • Wake up 5:00 AM run w/ girlfriend
  • Eat a bite + sleep if long time previously
  • After wake up, review hand history with person in same stable
  • After HH review, start a new UPSWING video or RIO video (full notes by hand)
  • Document 3 main points to focus on for session
  • Start session

I have some decent money saved up, and playing poker all day where I risk nothing sounds very appealing to me. I’ll do this for a month and see how I do… if I get unlucky, I’ll head to find a full-time job or consider relocating. Honestly, idk what I’m going to do if I fail… so I just won’t fail.

Poker Update: Had an amazing Sunday. 15/1600 in the ACR 100k Warm Up for 1.3k and 63rd in the 500k for 1.1k. Played so well all day but just went card dead in both towards the end and had to shove in an unfavorable spot (but still profitable). Couldn’t get there in either. . Was nice to have the extra $ for my BR though. Stable only had 50% of me in the 500k, so I profited a cool $290 from my cash! I’m happy with my performance though, it is nice to finally have a shot at life changing money. I have the big Sunday million on ACR this weekend, so that’ll be fun to take a shot at and grind all day. 200k for 1st… phew can you imagine? Stats and pictures below of recent scores.

If ya’ll want a graph, I can post it.

Funny story: Ya I don’t have any at the moment. Sorry guys. I will be posting a post everyday, so expect the format for my blog posts to change. I’m also selling action in the 1m (30% left) so feel free to purchase that if you want (you can PM me). Excited and love my current stable, but still have dreams of leaving the states to play! I also would love to get moved up to medium stakes, but am excited for the journey.

Thanks!

Not going to be firing any tournaments tonight because its my friends birthday. Played 5 tournaments last night, focusing mainly on the 40k. I cashed one in 10th (small one) and finished 45th in the 40k. Was an idiot and raised 93ss on button with 26bb.. BB see's a flop and 9A4 flop.. I jam thinking ez steal cuz no way he has ace.. he calls with ace lol. Just so stupid of me, I focused so hard on making a deep run in that tournament and battled so long with 10bb.. just to punt it off rofl. Don't even think my decision to jam on the flop was bad, but should of just folded it pf.

Excited for tomorrow... hopefully I can post here with a 200k score. Lets do it.

wouldnt worry to much about moving abroad to play, your about 8 years behind on that dream. only the best are still grinding it out in latin-america/asia. the majority have all gone back to the u.s. plus you have access to ignition which is like free money. only problem with the u.s sites is finding the daily volume you can get playing row, and the time schedule is a bit crap, i was visiting home for a few weeks in the u.s last month and found its necessary to grind 4pm-3am EST time to get same volume and access to the big tourneys playing wpn and ignition.

I don't use anything for Bovada.
I use the standard MTT hud on PT4.. don't wanna spend $100's for a HUD yet.

It isn't all poker though. I've dreamt of living across seas my entire life and doing whatever I want and CM is so cheap right now.. I'd save money going there lol.

Yeah, those are the hours I'm playing everyday.

Bad downswing these last couple days after a BRICK on the Sunday majors (besides Bovada 100k which I cashed).

WIll make a blog post when I have a noticeable score.

Just a sicko downswing right now.. I'm literally running into everything. I pick up AK, they have AK at worst.. lol. Just a sickkkkkk -ev swing for me as well. Getting it in 75% favorite in a spot where I'm auto cashing and have chance for a deep run just to get sucked out on river.. river card is murdering me this month so far.

Obviously frustrating.. can't get anything going at all. Just need my luck to turn around because I know I'm making correct plays and constantly see spots where I'm 75%+ favorite and just not holding. Rough mental state while playing because of it.

I'll turn it around, never carries over to the next day until it repeats lol.

Won't be playing much tomorrow, maybe early session on Ignition then spending time with GF and Saturday might fire early session as well.

No play @ all on Sunday and will be back in the mix on Monday. Kinda ****ty to miss Sunday cuz has potential to turn around this set for me.. but can't play 100k's all day when need to be with family for events and sht
