damnit I was hoping to come home to a bunch of responses about PLO strat. you guys suck
jkjk
I didn't realize LAPC was going on now, will definitely check it out. Personally I'm staying away from tourneys though.
Played at the Bike again, almost exclusively PLO today, about 8 hours. LUCKBOXED/CRUSHED. Had a good player on my left give me some pointers, two main spots.
1. Missed a value bet where a fishy old guy pots it into a $125 straddle-limped pot on a flop of A
Q
7
, I raised to $300, he flats. Turn is a 9
, he checks, I pot it for $725, he flats. River is one of the 6 cards I didn't want to see, the K
. He checks, I quickly check behind and show A
A
K
T
, he mucks.
2. Straddle-limped pot again, I bet $115 into $115 on 9
9
7
, 1 caller. He leads on a K
turn for $325, I jam for $500 more. He folds. This should definitely have been a flat. I had A
A
Q
2
. Between these two hands I probably lost $1k of value
Won a couple more big hands: got $1800 in preflop 3 ways with 1 guy AI, I had 9876ss and flop was 966 two tone. I jammed first to act, and we got another $1k in on the flop for the side pot (other guy has 9887).
Other hand, I potted it pre, got limp/raised, went HU to the flop with me having position and JT98ss and about 4/5 of a PSB left. Flop was T82 two tone (not my suit), villain check/folded (claims he had AAxx, reasonable).
Then won some smaller pots where I got 2-3 streets with the nut flush or nut straight, etc.
/shrug I suck at PLO. Literally 95% of my bets are with the nuts so I'm very exploitable. However my villains apparently try to exploit me by calling all my bets instead of folding.
Up $4903 in 8 hours.
LA total: $10531, 50 hours.
