That's awful. Some people are just the nut low. Your story reminds me of many years ago when I (very briefly) lived in the red light district of Sheffield. Some kids watched me park my car (which was just a beaten up old Mini) near my flat and then followed me up the road. I heard them say something about "****ing students". Even though the kids were about eight years old and it was still daylight, I was a little unnerved. When I got up the next day, there was a lot of broken glass and a house brick on the driver's seat.

That's actually pretty interesting. I've got a pretty low 3bet for 6max so I'm really surprised to see your SD winnings doing so well whereas mine are flat lining.

Bit of a whine incoming. I almost tilted earlier for the first time in a while. I probably tilt in subtle ways but I could feel the spew coming on and managed to catch a grip of myself. Going through a phase where every draw is missing, no bluffs are getting through, villains are showing up with hands they shouldn't (a weak reg who folds 80% to 3bets showed up with 76s after calling oop and then calling a cbet with 3rd pair). AK is whiffing every flop after 3betting:

Anyway the session started with a super whale on my immediate right,

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from http://flopturnriver.com/

UTG ($26.33)
MP ($25)
CO ($23.18)
Button ($22.85)
Hero (SB) ($25)
BB ($25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J, 8
3 folds, Button raises to $7.75, 1 fold, BB raises to $25 (All-In), Button calls $15.10 (All-In)

Flop: ($45.80) 8, 3, 6 (2 players, 2 all-in)

Turn: ($45.80) Q (2 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($45.80) 4 (2 players, 2 all-in)

Total pot: $45.80 | Rake: $2

Button had 7, 4 (one pair, fours).
BB had A, J (high card, Ace).
Outcome: Button won $43.80

While I was folding my 96o etc I was quickly trying to work out how wide a range I was getting it in with against him and decided this was good enough.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.com

CO ($25.98)
Button ($25)
SB ($22.93)
BB ($44.85)
Hero (UTG) ($25)
MP ($25)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, J
Hero raises to $0.75, 4 folds, BB raises to $44.85 (All-In), Hero calls $24.25 (All-In)

Flop: ($50.10) 3, 8, 7 (2 players, 2 all-in)

Turn: ($50.10) 3 (2 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($50.10) 6 (2 players, 2 all-in)

Total pot: $50.10 | Rake: $2

BB had 6, K (two pair, sixes and threes).
Hero had Q, J (one pair, threes).
Outcome: BB won $48.10

Can't really complain about the result but it's just a general indication about how things have been over the past week or so. I think the most frustrating thing was that he insta sat out after it.

I think it was just a follow on from the hands below that was a bit of a build up of frustration

1) Villain was a fish. Given the river raise I was pretty certain his hand was exactly what he ended up showing down. Might've been able to fold versus a reg. Maybe...

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.com/

BB ($25)
UTG ($25)
MP ($25.75)
CO ($25)
Hero (Button) ($26.86)
SB ($32.97)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 4, 4
2 folds, CO raises to $0.75, Hero calls $0.75, 1 fold, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.35) 8, 5, 4 (3 players)
BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets $1.68, BB calls $1.68, 1 fold

Turn: ($5.71) 9 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4.09, BB calls $4.09

River: ($13.89) 9 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $9.95, BB raises to $18.48 (All-In), Hero calls $8.53

Total pot: $50.85 | Rake: $2

Hero had 4, 4 (full house, fours over nines).
BB had 8, 9 (full house, nines over eights).
Outcome: BB won $48.85

2) This is just a gross spot being a bit deep. I'm hoping he has a QQ or KK he wants to get in before an overcard comes but really I know he has a set here, even though his raise is pretty needless. He was playing 19/16/5 so TT was really the only set he could have imo and I wasn't sure he'd be 3betting that.

Anyway, it's the rugby today so watching Scotland hammering England at Twickenham shortly will no doubt improve my mood no end . Failing that the copius amounts of alcohol I intend to consume in the company of friends will definitely do it

I've been doing some off table stuff lately
Spoiler:
at work
. I was specifically looking at preflop ranges in certain spots after carrying out a review of my game and noticing some areas that were off. I'm actually quite happy with the work I've done and hopefully it should pay dividends. I've gone through my database and looked at my results when I've used the hands within these new ranges and things look good. For example, I've looked at my BTN v EP/MP 3betting range and then I've looked at it when I used the hands within my new ranges and ignoring the ones I've binned.

Only issue with this is that I now feel like such a noob as I'm sitting with a big hand chart of the ranges I devised while I play

Thanks. My skill level at 6max probably means breakeven is where I'm at so I have to take the blame for that part. It would be nice to run a bit better in terms of ev but I suppose over the sample size it's not a huge amount.

Thanks.

I've gotta admit it's mainly about the challenge of beating 6max for me now. I think I'd probably do quite well if I went back to FR with the improvements in my play that 6 max forces onto you but I also think I'd find it a bit boring now. It might be an idea of my BR starts dropping too much though.
