I am enjoying Curacao so far, we went for some partying on friday and saturday and got the focus on the grind since sunday. Sundays session was pretty fun with a deep run in the Main Event on partypoker (23rd or so) and a 9th place in the hot 11 on stars, got in 4/9 but table was very short and I busted fairly quickly with std bvb shove. The sessions on Monday and Tuesday were pretty dissapointing but that's alright. Got in 162 games with abi $39 here so far, which is nice. 2evbb/100 and 3k down is not so nice tho .

I haven't made pictures yet but will shoot some in the near future, planning to write a more extensive trip report when the series are over.

Gl with the start of tcoop / xl series for the ones playing

Ran really well to get to the ft (obv ), but ft was a bit unfortunate. At final 5 99<66 for 1/4, then qt=t4s and bust tt<a4s both for something like 12kk which was average final 4 iirc. Spots were fairly std tho and v happy to be lucky enough to hit another 5fig in a big field.

Thanks guys

Pretty unreal month for me so far, shipped the 50 euro sunday warm up on stars.fr for 7.2k euro last sunday. Came in the ft with a decent cl and felt good to close a pretty big timbey <3

Today I got power outage when I was a few hours in the session. I tried in to install the backup connection but was unsuccesfull in doing so. Mobile hotspot isn't working in Curacao due the provider uses an ip adres from Miami. It should usually switch on in about 30-45 minutes (max 2 hours) but after 40 minutes of calling/fixing and about half an hour of waiting I decided to go to a coffee bar. I had a pretty descent stack in the winamax main event day 2 (which I saved) but lost about all the equity at the tables I was already playing. Busted the main event quickly and things were working again once I got home. Hopped in the fun peak events where the blinds where still reasonable and just grinded the regular schedule from that point onwards. Session was meh-ish but got a nice shot out of it afterall, currently one tabling the $109 100kgtd powerfest #54. 2/31 with 2kk at bb24k, 18k ftw. Vamoo

Hello hello,

February has been quite busy so far, but better late than never the January recap .

goals for January

[X] 1250 mtts 1250
[ ] evbb 8+ 5.4
[ ] meditate everyday Went well till I went to Curacao
[X] Get in some study hours to keep my game sharp while grinding the volume heavy schedule.
[ ] Get in 10 exercise sessions Failed big time

$ result wise January has been the most profitable month for me by far. Really fortunate to sunrun.

Biggest wins
4th $82 TCOOP for $18573
3rd $22 MSM for $12929
3rd $109 100k powerfest for $10233
1st 50 euro SWU.fr 7140 eur

My evbb has been the poorest in a long time. It’s probably caused by a combination of playing high volume, playing a few sessions with small hangover, increased avg buy in and just variance. I was unaware of how high variance in evbb can actually be. I always thought that a month sample of 100k or so was already fairly accurate. To play around in the variance calculator, I wanted to know my standard deviation for evbb/100 (stat in pt4 is for bb/100). I am not sure if I did it correctly but I changed the expression with amt_won, to the variable with amt_expected won. I got a std dev of +-48 compared to 60 for bb/100 so it seemed right.

Spoiler:

These are the results I get in pokerdopes variance calculator.

I will cut monthly evbb goals in the future.

Visiting Curacao was nice. Since the major part of my visit was during the online series and me and my coach were working on stable stuff afterwards, I continued making pretty long hours behind the pc. It still almost felt like a holiday tho. The spare time was spent way more valuable and the atmosphere on the Island was like vacation. Here are some pictures from the trip.

95% certain that I will emigrate to Curacao in the span of 1-3 months. I will most likely live there between 3-6 months a year, but maybe a bit longer.

Me and stevesmobs (my coach) have partnered up in starting a stable. I worked quite a bit on material, coaching and studying the last two weeks. In my year plans I did not take into account that I would start coaching/working on other projects this early on in the year, but I will cut a playing day a week. The extra ‘spare’ day I got will be used for coaching, creating content for the stable, studying and I aim to play 4 hours of cash. Pokerstars.fr is abruptly blocking the Dutch aswell, I was playing quite some late night turbos there and without them registering turbos till 1:15 am doesn’t seem optimal for me anymore. I will change my yearly volume goal to 8.5k mtts and 200 hours of cash.

February has been good as well so far, played 300 games and cruising on the v sustainable 100% roi. my avg buy in is around $46 for the month (pt stat).

Some goals for the remaining part of February.
[ ] 6 mtt sessions * 50 games , 4 cashgame sessions * 4 hours
[ ] meditate everyday
[ ] 4 exercise sessions
[ ] Study a ton (talk poker, hrc, pio, database/stats, coaching, upswing lab, finish applications of nlhe)

2017 so far <3

Hey guys,

Pokerwise February was quite nice, didn’t booked large volume in mtts but had a good month results wise and put in high volume on studying, coaching and played some cash.

Evbb year graph, obv not super pumped about it yet but sample is still relatively small and it’s improving .

Monthly results MTT

Monthly results Cash

Some goals for the remaining part of February.
[X] 6 mtt sessions * 50 games , 4 cashgame sessions * 4 hours 283 games + 12.5k cg hands (+- 23 hours)
[ ] meditate everyday missed a few days
[ ] 4 exercise sessions 1
[X] Study a ton (talk poker, hrc, pio, database/stats, coaching, upswing lab, finish applications of nlhe)
Reflecting on the year goals, pokerwise I am going strong. I already started with the coaching (through the stable) and my abi went from $33 in December to $48 last month. However my ‘life’ – goals are really suffering from my current schedule. On days I don’t undertake social activities it looks like this.

Generally I wake up around 1pm, I start my pc, take a shower, start reading and answering skype, make breakfast downstairs and consume it behind pc, continue reading and answering skype, start studying/coaching till some point between 16:00-18:00, start playing, eat dinner behind pc, wrap up session between 1:00 +- 03:00, finish whatever I was doing while playing last tables (generally studying, having conversations at skype or working on some coaching content), move to bed, check twitter/2p2/Instagram if I haven’t done yet, watch some Netflix or occasionally read a chapter of a book to get my mind off pokers and sleep around 5am.

On days I don’t play mtt’s it looks a bit healthier bit still it’s far from how I want it to be. So far I have failed to get rid of bad habits like using phone in bed, not feeding myself properly, not exercising enough and I am at 0.5/10 and 0/15 for the books and podcasts goal. For the coming period I will transition to the off peak schedule. I will give up some value by the smaller offer of games but the pros from having a more std day routine and schedule has some value as well . I will try to move up to starting between 08:00 and 08:30 on mtt days. The plan is to switch the pc off around 22:00 max, and I won’t do poker related stuff afterwards. Furthermore, I will continue playing cashgames. But it’s still a bit experimental, I haven’t figured out yet how much I will play exactly. I think I will keep playing 3-4 mtt sessions a week + 10-15 hours of cash. Already kinda pumped for SCOOP, will give my best to prepare myself the best I can and improve a lot the coming months. If the off peak schedule pleases me I will stick to it till SCOOP and afterwards it depends a bit on where I live, how my off peak ev is vs peak ev and whether I think I am able to manage a solid peak mtt player routine/schedule.

Goals for March will be mainly on life.

[] Exsercise every non MTT day
[] Finish book
[] Finish Joe Ingram Limitless Podcast, watch Joe Ingram Bill Perkins Podcast 1 & 2
[] Stick to the offpeak schedule
[] Log some days in MyfitnessPall to increase knowledge on how much foodies I need to hit the daily goal of 2870 calories (specified for protein, carbs etc as well), for 0.5 pounds weight increase pw.
[] No phone in bed

I will try to write some more blogcontent this month since it was a bit sparingly last month.

Thx for the read and gl all!
