We drove out and picked up Kydd from Pittsburgh a couple days ago. The poker room has been packed for the Spring Open tourney series.

Volume has been really low so far this month so I need to get back into grind mode.

Hi mate nice post.. happy days with the poker and good luck !!

When you first started out did you always play cash or have you every played sngs or mtts?

Just wondering cause I usually play them but have noticed that the players are getting better and my edge is not as big as before so was thinking of making the change to cash.

Cheers T

I monkey'd around with 18 mans and 90 mans and a few mtts but I think I have always prefered cash.

True story : at Parx, I had 900 in front of me, villian had about 800. I'm BB he's mid. I have A/5. He raises to 50, I call. Flop comes 2/3/4. I bet 125, he raises to 250, I shove, he tanks. As he's thinking, I say "I hope you have 4/4". He says "really?" I say "yeah". He shows me 4/4. I show him A/5. He says if I give him 50 bucks back he will fold. I say no. He calls. Turn 2. I grab my jacket and just shake my head.

I'm unsure if this area (Philly/Atlantic city) just has a bunch of weirdos, but they will 100% put their money in.

I'm still mad about that hand and it's been 3 years.
you obviously aren't that mad about it. parx hasn't been open for 3 years yet.

I was at 2 really awesome tables, hard to believe I ended up losing a little. The first one had a guy opening to 40 every hand and bombing 300 every flop. The second table I was at had a guy bet over a thousand otf with tp3k and some other random over bet bluffs.

FINALLY!!!... I've read it all...phew.

Keep on crush the games and if you need a punishment go to an indian or thai restaurant and order the most spicy dish they got. Not the most spicy on the menu but one of those they make for themselves... I had a bet like that a couple years ago with a poker friend and I got served the "special" vindaloo curry. That was hot. I looked like a tomato and drank about 5 litres water but I won the bet...

GL OP!!!

This could be true. I'm basing my timeline on my memory and I have a bad memory. It might have been 1.5 years, 2 football seasons, but I thought it was 3.

I'm still mad about that hand.

I am grinding a couple 10 hr sessions at Revel so I can get a comped room for 2 nights here for a when my friend comes to visit for 4/20. I don't think they ever get 2/5 on the week days but they have 1/2 with a 500 cap which is kinda cool.

I once bet a friend he couldn't eat a huge container full of jalapenos in under 5 min, he knocked it out like a boss. That is a good punishment if I fail my mini challenge this weekend I'll do it.

Cool that you liked the idea. Don't forget to tape a bit of the experience, maybe we get a sequel to this...

I'm at Revel again today. I want to knock out 70 hrs in the next 7 days. Living with better players that grind a lot makes me want to step it up.

The session went ok, never did get 2/5 going at Revel and the 3 tables I was at were nitty but I did complete the promo. I b/f tptk vs sets in a couple spots.

We learned to play open face Chinese, I’m a huge fish but it’s fun.
