Is the borgata 2/5 a 100bb cap or 200? Are you buying in full?
100bb max for 2/5 at borg.

I had another 1k sess. Poker is easy when you flop sets. I'm pretty tired but going to try to play a long session today.

Thanks! I made a little sign to put on my backpack for a day when I go explore the boardwalk that says "broke poker player, will tell degen stories for food" I'll snap a pic of it when I get a chance.

My standard line is to barrel aswell. I just didn't think I had much FE after he calls 110 otf.

March was a sick month Borgata is awesome. I pushed hard to improve and ran well in some big pots. I've been plugging some leaks by going over hhs from each session with Kydd. I also have 3 other good players at Borgata to exchange hhs with while taking breaks. Personal best month for volume and winnings.

I am pledging $1 to charity for every 2 hrs I play in 2013. Check out starting gun's pg&c thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...-vpps-1304700/
I think I'll play better knowing some of the money I win will go to a good cause.

Goals for March-
[x]send Kydd atleast 3 hhs from each session I play
was pretty good at about this one, had a few sessions with no interesting hands but was consistent when I did have hhs
[x]play 170 hrs
dhcg86 and his solid work ethic influenced me to get in volume
[]review every hh I've posted in this thread in reverse chronological order, attempt to pinpoint my biggest and most frequent types of mistakes
forgot about this one, I think it is a good idea and I should still get around to this
[x]take breaks when tilted, stick to a 200bb stoploss
I didn't have any issues with tilt, never even hit my 200bb stopless. I ran good

Goals for April-
[]send KyddDynamite all interesting hands I play
[]play 200 hrs
[]review every hh I've posted in this thread in reverse chronological order, attempt to pinpoint my biggest and most frequent types of mistakes
[]take breaks, eat healthy, work out, get enough sleep
[]donate to charity

First off, glad to see you're getting that hourly back to a respectable amount for the year.

Regarding the penalty, charitable donations in mind, my knee jerk response is a donation to "Locks of love".

That said, I know how hard it is to part with a long hair identiy so with a few beers in me how about....

I'd say play a session in drag but let's face it, that's expensive. So how about we go with the hair.

1 hour at the table with two massive pig tails on ur head. Maybe some pink nail polish to go with the image. And Dhcg can post a pic of the back of your bushy pig tail head while you're sitting at the table as proof you followed thru with it.

Cheap, easy and appropriately demeaning, just sayin.

Love the thread man. Keep posting!

How about buying yourself a drink for putting in crazy hours and pulling out of your downswing, rather than beating yourself up because you were a few hours short of your goal?

I played a short session, no real tough spots.

I am excited to see some progress in my game. It is important to remain humble because I know I still have a lot of room to improve.

That's a funny one, Oaks actually has a 1/2 limit game with $.50 chips. I once subjected myself to that game for about a half hr.

I'm not gunna pull a Shaun Deeb and dress in drag or put on nail polish. I think I can handle the hair thing, but why only 2. I'll just put all my hair in a bunch of random rubberbands, should make for a kodak moment.

I am glad to be doing better and getting closer to my goals, but I'm still not satisfied with falling short. I appreciate that you think I deserve a drink , I've actually gone 3 months without alcohol becuase I used to do nothing but drink all day long, don't even miss it. I am going to reward myself for the good month and buy a guitar to mess around with when I'm not grinding.

I finally finished 93 pages of determination and self discipline and even tough you went on a massive downswing in vegas you have turned it around and now heading in the right direction. I want to give your friends there a quick shout out because without them who knows where you will be, you have traveled to a lot of the places you wanted to go at the start of the thread (minus fl) but that is sure to come, keep up the good work and continue on putting more hours in at your A game.

Being lazy the last few days, recharging a little bit before diving into April. I met a couple more 2p2ers here at Borgata.

Here is one hand I played-

I open AJ to 20, 2 calls.

Flop- A84

bet 35 into 65, they both call

Turn- A

I bet 115 into 170, 1 call

River- 2

I bet 165 into 400, villain snap jams for 140 more, I fold

Thanks for the first post! Yeah no doubt I am incredibly fortunate to have awesome friends that have my back during the rough times.

Curious about your line on the river. If you check here and we assume he did have a flush or boat, he's probably jamming for $305 into $400, right? So couldn't you have saved $165 by checking instead?

He can call with worse Ax, thought it was a good b/f spot maybe should have sized a bit smaller.

The BF is good in theory but I think his check call range is weighted more towards flush draws, I mean we have trips and we have to give villan credit for trips too. Not a terrible bet fold by any means, I just dont think its the best play. (obv if villan calls the river with a weaker ace we look like a genious)

I am never folding for 140 more. I might not bet river, check call is better choice.

I don't think you can profitably c/c or b/c on this river. %95 of players at these stakes are not creative enough to turn their trips with weak kicker into a bluff. Your hand is only a bluff catcher once villain shoves.

There just doesn't seem to be many hands that pure can beat in that instance. AQ/AK has him, and a random A/X could have easily filled up and raised. Not to mention the flush. In most cases here you're at least facing a small flush.

Sucks to fold but it seems hard to win the hand in this spot.

After the turn is paired no competent player would continue with a flush draw. So at that point I am assuming villain is a fish. If op was concerned about a flush then he should have checked on the river. We don't know how much villain would have bet on the river, shoving is not guaranteed.

PURE did you see a live tell? Callinf 140:560 is like almost impossible to fold.

Wait.. you obviously haven't played 2/5 at the Borgata. You can show top set vs a flush draw and they will be like "ok well.. Im just trying to go home".

True story : at Parx, I had 900 in front of me, villian had about 800. I'm BB he's mid. I have A/5. He raises to 50, I call. Flop comes 2/3/4. I bet 125, he raises to 250, I shove, he tanks. As he's thinking, I say "I hope you have 4/4". He says "really?" I say "yeah". He shows me 4/4. I show him A/5. He says if I give him 50 bucks back he will fold. I say no. He calls. Turn 2. I grab my jacket and just shake my head.

I'm unsure if this area (Philly/Atlantic city) just has a bunch of weirdos, but they will 100% put their money in.

I'm still mad about that hand and it's been 3 years.
