I played 13.5 hrs today and lost
$14. I put in a pretty lengthy session, was down almost 400 at one point so the end result is not too bad. I was reading some inspiring posts on this forum and kind of decided I want to work harder at playing longer and improving my play so I can move up. I honestly didn't play that well today but also wasn't picking up to many playable hands or flopping much. Toward the end of the session the game was excellent so I was compelled to stay and try and recoup some losses.
Here are a couple trainwreck bluff attempts-
4 handed, I'm in the bb with K
9
loose player utg raises to 10 others fold I call. Effective stacks 120
Flop- A

2
I check villain bets 10, I had been folding a lot pf so I felt I could rep an A so I c/r to 25, villain calls.
Turn- 8
Seems like a decent card for me as I pick up the 2nd nut fd and if villain has a lower pair than the A I could have overs. I check he bets 30, I c/r jam for 55 more. I should have realized stacks weren't really deep enough to have virtually any fold equity. Well it turns out I run into a brick wall as he snaps with A
9
, I'm drawing dead nh sir.
I think this line was slightly better than that last hand-
I'm btn with 8
6
have been folding everything for 3 rounds straight, 1 limp in ep, loose active player raise to 13 from lp which is a little bit smaller that he had been raising with premiums, I make it 40. The rest fold he calls. Effective stacks 200.
Flop- Q
7
4
He checks, I bet 40 I was thinking that after folding for so long it must look like I have to have a hand here. Villain tanks for a bit then says "well I guess I'll give you the rest" and c/r 100 on top. I snap fold and he slaps down A
10
. nh sir. I don't know if he had some type of read on me or was just super tilted (I think he had been losing quite a bit).
So I guess I picked to wrong opponent to try and pull that move on, I obviously did not try and bluff him the rest of the night. I did end up sending him home when he squeezed pf to 110 pf over my 10 open and 4 callers. I stick in my 210 stack with A
A
and he calls.
