First day grinding in Thailand, condo is awesome! Great swimming pool, okay looking gym, 10mbps internet and great space and well equipped kitchen even Im not going to cook since I can get delicious food for 1 dollar all around. Nearest good streetfood place is 20 meters from my appartment. I actually wanted to go to thaimassage yesterday and found two places near my appartment and at both of them they ask around 600baht for 1hour massage which is redicolous since even in Bangkok I can have a good one for 300 and here it should be between 200-300 I think. Will google something later on.
Grind going well I was in zone today playing 200nl got some interesting ones:
H1)
I tanked alot and ship on last second . If he makes a raise with low top two vs. usuall shoving range he cant stack off. Might be some 45s aswell type of hand often or maybe 6x.
I dont think jam wins alot but is probably fine at some frequency - might be even more +EV than I think, depends on villain obv. Snowie says its 0ev but should be done in frequency of 80% or something.
I think the flop float is kind of too loose idea of the backdoors and floating in position and doing some stuff is good but at its best it leads to marginal situations with high variance. On the turn we dont have a super blocker or anything but I think he continues betting with twopair, sets and overpair JJ+ with the FD. River i can set that part of his range into marginal bluffcatchers while having seemingly few bluffs by myself.
utg reg. Idea of isolating the fish & playing the reg out on flop with this handstrenght is imo. good since we cant realy have a very +EV call if +EV call at all. Anyways its marginal and it depends on how fish playes his range. I think generally fish will play face up not shove overpairs here & let me freeroll equity + he may be there as wide as 89o.
Broadways will be brick since turn, that being said even if he bluffs only 98s this will be brake-evenish / slight losing call and on many spots fish have a huge amount of more bluffs than we can expect.
Anyways very happy of being in Thailand and very happy of finding my creative ways to think again. Im full of energy and enthusiasm want to put in good volumes, study, workout, improve & enjoy the great food and stay sober!
I know the subject has been beaten to death in other forums but I am having a hard time getting all the info in one place and sometimes come across conflicting info.
Can someone walk me through the process for an American who wants to move to Thailand for at least 4 or 5 months as far as getting set up with pokerstars and how to deposit and transfer money? (I can handle the visa, getting there etc. just need to know where to start when I get there)
Im not an american and I have no idea. Anyways I know a guy called Scott, I found him from YouTube without a purpose, he makes videos with name "american in Bangkok" and he seems to know alot of stuff. Be warned he is a true American.
Hmm, have been kind of tired today even slept well, eating well and exercised & meditated aswell. Played 2,5k hands, some 3-tabling nl200 and rest nl100. Was down like 800 at somepoint but recovered to -200, which aint that bad.
H1)
Not sure if I ever got it in with AK having 2,5% Eq before.
Still think its fine jam, the fishes can have whatever + the 10d death money from cold caller.

He said sick and folded. I think vs population at 100nl the 24d bet looks super strong I hate it. 20 dollars would be more nice to see especcially after little tank it means AA, AK decently often this sizing + him lacking bluffs means I could fold the turn.
River he said "sick" and folded. Not huge +Ev play or anything though.
Could be allright 3-barrel. I think giving up sometime is still fine - he may occasionally have called with FD and check it back. J is not the greatest river for my hand shove since villain obv. snap AJ which I dont block.
Weak reg, / fish. I had read he is incappable of thin vbetting river so Im outcounting hands like AJ which he represents. On the contrary he is aswell weak enough to bluff such spots which makes my blockers and everything else dissimportant and gives me an easy fold.
Turning this to bluff since turn is option aswell. Possibly higher EV but this line is obv. the max. bad line against such opponent.
I think highest money EV for me is right now grinding nl100 with quite low varince. My winrate has raised to 4.5evbb there when at nl200 it looks to be +0,5evbb. I havent played nl200 much in several months and my sample ends on big downswing which makes me think I should be something like 2bb winner there now as I beat nl100 with the 4-5bb/100. Will see Im anyways pretty motivated right now and feel comofortable taking shots atleast to nl200 since I can recover quite fast at nl100 if downswing hits.
Close to 3k hands today, almost everything nl200. EV + 800, results round +200. Generally better focus than yesterday and playing solid running bit unlucky some spots though. I wonder why I cant find results today report on HEM2 anymore..
Wasnt today but funny anyways "Too much bluffing going on to fold 25s" Thats what some Italian guy said at casino while calling top pair on the 4 straight river when too guys are go all in before him.
Preflop: Hero is CO with K K
UTG folds, MP raises to $6, Hero raises to $18, BTN folds, SB raises to $48, BB folds, MP calls $42, Hero raises to $217.58 and is all-in, SB folds, MP calls $169.58

Spoiler:
Results: $485.16 pot ($2.75 rake)
Final Board: Q 4 4 6 2
MP showed 2 5 and lost (-$217.58 net)
Hero showed K K and won $482.41 ($264.83 net)
Vs. fish, 105 hands 16% 3b. Marginal pre if even okay.. I think its not good 4bet actually. Flop I should give up its likely getting -EV. River fine, he has a lot AK, AQ here which he likely folds. Fish are not into making hero calls with A-high type hands they like much more to make them with "big hands" like low flush on 4 straight never folds etc. this is good concept to understand. Aswell he may soulread me to aces and make fold with JJ/QQ sometimes.
Vs. aggro sb okay spot to cold4b/call at low frequency.
Flop, Snowie says I should b 25% call if he ships and shoving is much lower equity play. Im not sure how accurate it is about that - Imo shoving cant be bad with this SPR.
BB is fish other guy reg. Kind of better just call the flop since the reg. might get aggro here quite a bit since fish is weak and I need to be folding overpairs facing agression.
Preflop: Hero is BTN with A A
2 folds, CO raises to $5, Hero raises to $16, SB folds, BB calls $14, CO calls $11
Flop: ($49) 6 8 9 (3 players)
BB bets $2, CO calls $2, Hero raises to $28, BB calls $26, CO raises to $95.89, 2 folds
Spoiler:
Results: $133 pot ($2.75 rake)
Final Board: 6 8 9
Hero mucked A A and lost (-$44 net)
BB mucked and lost (-$44 net)
CO mucked and won $130.25 ($86.25 net)
As I thought its close here on the river whether we shove or not. Villain is Sgk31 Im not sure what to think about him even I have 5k hands history. Very aggro style early streets and have seen him doing quite abit stuff that cant be good but that was like 5 months ago.
KQ depends on how wide we expect him to be there. Generally give up is better though.
T8 he doesnt have a lot better trips combos considering the board and how we block them. If he pots some bluffs and premium pair for value and defends some of them vs jam it turns fine.
imo I don't think villain is pot calling off the River with Qx/overpair, you are going to have plenty of trips yourself and he also shuts down all your bluffs unless he's trying to induce, which is unlikely
I was tired to wake up in my usual time 7am so slept till 10 today and my productivity realy sucked whole day. Played like 1,8k hands when I got to strong B-game mode went to play nl100 which is fine. Will focus putting in volume during the weekend. I hope to sleep better and wake up fresh tomorrow at 7am and crush the weekend games. Had way too much distractions and did way too much stuff same time as grinding, the usual skype talking and answearing some e-mail etc. that all should be done after grind not even during brakes or the worst while playing.
My Hem2 said today "cant find postgRes server" - Im happy I didnt tilted about it and just restart computer and it started to work. Such a release.
Good that I bragged with results yesterday since I lost 1k today. 500 under ev though and quite brutal hands. Not into posting some bad beats instead will focus on some others I may have missplayed.
H1)
Vs. utg bad 3-b vs Mp. okayish generally.
Postflop I think so frequency this fits well for triple.
Villain is agro, raise flop cb 20-30% - anyways we dont need to dig that deep in our range to defend flop. Turn I was thinking blockers and fact I unblock both FD which is irrelevant since its extremely difficult to find enough bluffs for him to make this a good call. River is whatever since calling so far. But pretty big spew from me anyways the whole hand.
Think this is fine since I cant find better hands to bluff in this runout and most people obviously cbet flop with AK etc.
This doesnt turn great since he can have KK and some KJ maybe slowplay Ak time to time but I think its fine, marginal though and the guy seemed to be on tighter side which reduces amount of two pair.
h2 looks fine to me vs aggro guy. I like calling down this runout. He has KTs KJs QTs QJs T9s etc. , those type of hands that flat min-raise pre multiway.
h3 looks spewy. If you want him to fold a hand like AA, we block that. As for the turn play, I think xc is prob better than betting ourselves.
H3 x/c ends terrible. I doubt he delayed bluffs enough at all. Merit of turning to bluff is getting him off QJ, J9 type two pairs which he may have at some frequency. Giving up seems better though without reads from his range.
Don't think you get to bet pretty much ever in the H3 turn spot. Check fold your terrible equity on the turn. If you want to bluff river this seems like one of the hands. A blocker isn't ideal but I don't see what bluffs we have other than ATs-AQs.
