Yeah for sure I don't think its unethical. I think you're right it was stupid of us to not agree what to do if we couldn't see the 2nd turn and river or whatever, but we had to discuss it quickly so ya know. Good thing we got to see it!

Thanks for the kind words all. Tonight I was sitting at the table grinding Scrabble on my iPad (I rarely whip the iPad out at the table but the fish had no interest in talking tonight so when the game is like that I just keep myself entertained) when all of a sudden the whale from last night sits down and is beaming at me. I have a wee rapport with him (well I thought I did) so we chatted a bit and the game sparks to life. He's rebuying with cash and every time he rebuys, I sell him chips, give his $ to a chip runner, they go get me chips, I tip them $1, put the chips in my bag, he busts, rebuys, rinse, repeat! Was a great wee system we had on the go. Unfortunately hero got absolutely leathered in the game, I lost $8700. I think I made one real mistake in the game, can't remember exact action but early on there's a few limps, whale makes it 100, I call Q3s from BB, UTG limper makes it like $475 and a few guys call and I peel. I think I'm not being results orientated when I say this but it's really bad in hindsight. At the time I thought it was okay but tbh we can just fold vs the first raise. So anyway the Flop is Q73 and we get it in for like a 6k pot vs 2 regs, one has unknown holdings, one has 77 and we lose.

He got it in BB vs UTG w JTo, MP vs BB w 56s and one other hand with KJs vs can't remember what position, so when he 4bet jammed pre vs my 3bet when I had AJo I fistpump called. Fker woke up w AQo, puke!

Couple of hours later I have around 3k stack and the whale has just busted and insta opens to 200 as he's getting more chips. I have 76s and flat (remember this dude is opening 100% of hands and is just tilting because of the last hand) the btn, good Spanish reg 3bets to 650 (don't like his sizing but he's stiill v v good), whale flats QJcc, I flat (me and the Spanish reg are 3k deep). Flop is T83ccx and the Spanish reg xs, the whale shoves 850 and I call and thankfully Espanya folds. Whale turns me dead, but then does something weird. On Ac turn he literally throws his cards in my face and starts shouting at me that he's finally got me and he's winning his own money off of me. I'm like oh right ok nh and just get on with it. I have been nothing but nice to the dude, not condescending or ass-licky, just chatted about football and Scotland and stuff with him.

So anyway a couple of orbits later I 3bet his $100 open with QQ, he calls, and the flop is 964r. He checks, I cbet big (his range is ATC) and he jams. I call and he stands up and is like what do you have? I say "overpair bud, you?" and he shows me a 6. Board runs out brick brick and he grimaces and rolls over a 4 for 64o. I'm just like ffs m8 cmon be cool. I Skyped the guys that stake me for these live trips and explained the situation, said I was down approx $8500 and I might quit because it's a decent chunk of money. One of them replied basically saying he dgaf if I lose $25k, that it was an amazing game and I'd be stupid to leave. I was like "that is so god damn encouraging to hear" and decided to stay. I ended up taking his last $600 or so off him with ATdd vs his KQdd to ironically finish off the game. At the end of it a few American regs in the game (really genuinely super nice guys) said to me "Unlucky man that was brutal to watch" I was like tyvm boys I appreciate that. Then some Romanian reg who spent all night pissing the whale off went "yeah but you spewed with Q3s". I was like cool thx. Was funny, when he bust for the last time he was 10 yards away from the table when the waitress arrived with the cheesecake he ordered 10 mins ago. He came back to the table to eat it and honestly it looked as if she saved the game by bringing the cheesecake, but he didn't rebuy.

Sidenote, really nice American reg bets like $640 otr on 97332 with QQ and this young fat socially awkward wanker of a Chinese nitreg shoved for $200 more. The American guy was like yeah I can't fold but I never win. The Chinese **** announces "two pair" and smiles and turns over pocket 3s. The whole table was silent and I literally just went "you're a ****ing dick mate". ****ing weird prick.

Lost $8.7k tonight. Have hit phase one of the "GazzyB three phases post big losing session" routine - indifference. Phase two of feeling a bit sick/gutted will begin approximately 30 seconds after waking up when I next sleep, and phase three (which is ****ing brilliant) of "forgiving myself*" will begin around six hours after phase two sets in.

* even though technically I think I played so fkn solid tonight and did nothing wrong, I still need to feel that self forgiveness feelgood.

I think you have a typo in hand where whale has QJcc and jams T8xcc and you say you just have 76s otherwise wtf

is this a 10/20 game or what seems weird to me calling 10x opens with 78s then calling 3bets for 1/5 your stack and stacking off with whale when spanish guy could just be trapping to let the whale spew. This live game is crazy!

Is announcing two pair, 3s and 3s, not standard in the UK? I feel like it is extremely common here in the US.

Didn’t say it makes any sense. It’s just something recs love to say when they get quads.

Like he's actually blocking her dealing the board out. Obv it's a chop but she still has to deal it out. I'm like dude wtf are you doing and he honestly looks at me and goes "What you wanna take a picture or something?" I'm like wtf and he goes "aces vs aces, you want a picture?" at this point I tell him to butt the **** out and let the dealer do the dealing and to stop harrassing them, have seen them do it a few times and to stop it, he honestly looks down at his stack and goes "ok u got it boss" and stops talking. The other day he was complaining about all the Brits in the games while staring right at me. Also I drilled it in the other day pre and got called and he's not even in the hand and he turns to my opponent and goes "DON'T show your hand first, make him show first!" guy honestly is just a weird dude.
Nothing major.

Absolutely epic updates as always Gaz! For someone that loves the banter though you shouldn’t take slowrolls so personally. Poker players have no problems taking some degenerates money (me included) but then get all entitled, offended and bitter when they have a bit of fun turning over their cards.

Regarding the run it twice thing, personally I have no problem whatsoever with it from an ethics point of view, but how do you solve it if you split the pot? How/where do you settle and can you do this in a way that doesn´t look like colluding from an unknowning rec´s point of view?

I think that this is the main issue, if you can do it away from the table then whatever, if it might look shady to a rec then I´d say it´s bad (rec suspecting collusion might want to leave or call floor or whatever).

Btw, what is the reason for not allowing to run it twice? Local gambling laws or something else?

This is a really good point that even though it's not unethical to privately RIT, it can be misinterpreted as collusion which is as bad in the eyes of an unknown (rec or not) as being just as bad as actual collusion.

As far as laws, I don't think I've ever heard of laws against running it twice, it's just a rule that the casino is allowed to implement.

More tilted players, more loose play, more rake? And it speeds up the games a little I guess.

Good luck on the re-grind Gazzy-bhoy, get more of those bullets!
