The entirety of live poker summed up in a nutshell imo.

There are several spots each few sessions where I'm like

"wow a cold 4bet here is gonna look ******ed strong"
*cold 4bets*
*4 ways to the flop*

No, I'm discussing why you would do your day job (play poker) on vacation. Everyone I know, they set aside work time and leisure time. They don't mix the two. This is where I was getting confused.

Working holiday? Maybe some people enjoy what they do to the point where they don't need to compartmentalize work and leisure?

i disagree
i go at least 1-2 times per year for past 5yrs roughly. each stay is 10-14 days. i grind a ton and have a solid holiday as well. i guess if poker is your full time profession and then you go to vegas to grind as well it can get pretty damn boring but for me it's awesome. easy games, good food, no mrs to answer to lol etc it's cool

i can certainly understand some people grind themselves into the ground because they don't sleep enough, eat **** food, don't exercise etc and just burn out fast

I go to Vegas for the food. Omg the sushi is insane. A good piece of Salmon makes any downswing insignificant.
