H3: Does raising river accomplish anything here? Does he call with worse or fold out better?

H4: Call 3bet. I think you isolate yourself against AA when you gii pre UTG in a Zoom game.

This whole assessment seems to be based on the assumption that Zoom is more nitty than it is in reality. Especially with hand 4.

I think this "everyone is a nit in zoom" opinion doesn't hold true to my experiences, and many of the HH's posted in this thread to name but one.

That said, with the set of 3's, I'd probably revert to a call down line after i get re-re-raised. And a fold is probably correct.

Vs a reg it's get-away-from-able but vs the type of fish that will not fold overpairs or top pairs, and will never fold AA (I mark them with a big maroon ring) I think it's okay. He shows up with AA, KK and AJ here so often that I don't mind getting it in.

Nah he never folds a Q, and rarely calls with worse. Should probs just flat, noted.

Vs an unknown getting 100bb in the middle with KK is fine. If it's a known nit then I can flat.

Yeah, which is why I think the shove on the AQ hand is absolutely fine. Although I'd prefer a min-raise or something patronisingly obvious but still gets calls.

There is 1 combo of hands that beat us. so we only need 2 combos of spew out there that call to make it ok. Think of all the dumb **** you see from all the hands you play, its certainly not unreasonable!

tldr version; most people selling in the MP are selling at unreasonable markups which makes it -EV for a ton of people buying action. Most MTT regs don't know their true roi's and trust me, they almost never underestimate it, it's always overestimating. Make sure you understand how markup works in theory before you buy. Also realize that there's a huge difference in achievable roi's for a hyper, turbo, regular speed, or deepstack mtt.

I mean it's fine if you want a nice sweat or like the person, but don't expect to make tons of money in there without being very selective and knowledgeable about the seller's skill level and their estimated roi in that tourney.

                  Ty, pretty much nails it.

Itt gazzy has said that he wants to stay away from playing his own big mtt sessions due to the BR swings.

Believe me, your EV is greater and variance less by playing mtts than staking people from the MP (with mark up).

Don't get me wrong, you might wake up one day and realise you shipped 5% of the Sunday Million, but if you play the lottery you might one day win a big prize.

Not all packs are -EV though, but you'll find the best ones get booked out pretty quick and eventually sold privately.

                  Just play mtt's yourself IMO.

Doesn't Giffordinian (or however you spell it) routinely use his entire ROI including soft MTTs to sell packages composed of entirely tougher/turbo/hyper MTTs? There was something a while ago when he FT'd the SM and some of his investors didn't read completely and thought they were investing in his entire Sunday (which is a reasonable assumption IMO).

Yeah, The guy's basically in 2+2 exile due to the fall out from the whole incident. There was also suggestions of incorrect payouts etc when refunding.

No worries guys, cheers for the advice. The guy I've invested in is offering his first ever package, and there was 0 MU. Only cost me $34 for 2%. Plus he promised me he's gonna ship something so it's fine!

Just woke up after playing for 6/7 hrs in the early hours of the day. That feeling in my stomach when I awoke was not nice...

10.5 hrs til the end of the month UK time. 10.5 hrs to make $450 in order to cross that elusive $4k profit line. Let's do this...

4.5 hours left, $400 to go. Played 7.6k hands and -$220 for the day. I haven't played well, took a break, went for a run, gazed into the mirror for a little while, and now I'm ready. Let's cross that 4k line.

Seems like you're trying to force it and that might have the reverse effect.

GL anyway. If you make it or if you don't, this is a hugely impressive month at 50nl
