First off I would like to thank everyone who post in the section of this site. I believe it's the best content here at the moment. My back ground, 38 male I've been in the construction field for 17 years. I've always wanted give poker a chance. I live on the south side of Chicago and will be starting my journey at MGM national harbor. Bankroll is 3k, I have another 3k for living expenses. Not sure how long this journey will last but I thought this would be the best way for me to track everything. My game of choice will be 1-3 500 buyin, might take a shot. 2-5 when bankroll is 6k+
I've been wanting to do this since 2000. I've probably averaged about 500hours a year stakes 1-2 to 5-10 mostly 1-2 an 2-5. I havent played online much poker since the Black Friday but the last year I played...(2009)? 500,000 hands at .50/1 on full tilt and won .8/bb per 100. Well starting today at 10am!!!

It's definitely on the lite side could buyin for 100 but probably won't do that til bankroll is at 1000. Just taking a shot at a dream! Cards are in the air....🍻

Day one in the books, couldn't of run much better! Got paid of f on most of my big hands. Played 18 hours profit 1908. The best part about this place is the lowest no limit game is 1-3 deep stack. Average table had between 6-8k on it.

Finally figured out how to put an image on here...from last night

Well I guess I didn't figure out the image issues yet😔 That's a goal of mine in the next 24 hours. Anyways another fun day at the tables yesterday. Started off but winning the "hot table" 500/per player👍. I ended up putting in 12:15 hours. Total profit for the night 1325 includes hot seat money. I must say I've played quite a bit of poker the last 20 years, the MGM is a great place for a live player. Their were two players at my table last night, that this was their FIRST time playing poker!!! They didn't raise with the nuts on the button on the river..smh. IMO the reason a lot of the people who come to this casino try poker is the TABLE games limits are ridiculously high craps min/50 baccarat min/100 bj/25 most 50. Sometimes the limits are lower but very limited...also I know the rake is 5+2 but their promos are pretty good. The novice player are always talking about the hot table/seat/high hands...
My GOAL as of this month is to play 75/hr and profit 5500. The start has been better than I could of dreamed of profit 3225 hours 31 does count promos

Third post down, make imageshack account, have all your images resized to about 600x800 and then the hyperlink from them will be input to hyperlink for image... I may make a better post than the offered currently for it, though it got me there, so it should for you as well.

Also, keep going...I still have a low BR but some better breathing room now, you will get there, keep at it.

Get the Tap Talk app, it is about the easiest way to post pictures. Once downloaded like two+two to follow.

Turn off the "posted using Tap Talk" signature though, that is annoying.

We it was a wild one yesterday into today, played 1pm- 1pm yep that's right 24 straight hours. Played pretty bad, C+ game. Tried running 3 big bluffs all were looked up. The weakest part of my game. I know at the lowest limits you don't need to bluff much if at all (semi bluffing different than making a move on the river) oh well was down 800 and got back to even. I guess that's a positive to take away from today!!! Action was good for a Monday morning..

Well..I took a shot at 2-5 yesterday and ran pretty good 1993 in 14hr. My poker journal is showing me at 89hr for 5100 not sure where my math went wrong😳. Anyways really enjoying this poker room friendly staff if you are here before 2pm everyday I've never had to wait.

Well my first week/7day period is in the books
I played 111hr and +4873....honestly there is one guy here the played more hours than me!! Crazy, I won't play that much again . It was a great experience, things can def become a blur. Play-sleep-shower! Rinse and repeat. Love the room and the people!
