Yesterday was a pretty brutal day 0 cashes out of around 25 MTTs. I can't remember the last time that's happened. After the session I felt pretty bad and unmotivated and I thought it would be good to take the day off today. Im rethinking that though. I slept well and took a long cold shower to wake me up. I'll have to take some throughout the day during breaks if I feel sluggish. It's hard to not feel giddy and excited after taking a cold shower.

When I played soccer it was uncalled for taking days off practice or a game off just because things weren't going your way. When I was working I didn't call in sick or take days off just because something I was working wasn't going smoothly. It's not how things work, it's not how I work. I'm doing a couple cheesy things to remind me what I am and can be again if I keep working hard and showing up. The hard part some days is just getting started and showing up. Maybe I don't become a TCOOP champion but I won't regret that I didn't try my best. I'm not one to reminisce much, I'm all about creating new memories and stuff but damn feels good sometimes to look back at what feels like lifetimes ago. I was so fortunate to be a part of so many great teams and I won way more than my fair share of leagues and championships with them. At the time I took it all for granted. I never thought I was that good because I always thought of so many other players as great. I played on great teams with some amazing players to humble me but looking back damn at times I was pretty good. Concussions and injuries messed me up. I had to quit and it was rough for a while. I don't like thinking about it much for whatever reason but I miss all that. I can't turn into a Kenny Powers so hopefully we can repeat that success with poker and win some COOPs and have a great year.

I'm Ricky Mother ***** T. I hear my running records still stand at Gladstone I used to throw 2nd place ribbons away. I remember signing ribbons in elementary schools and giving them to chicks. My peers in elementary expected I would do great things the same in high school I've accomplished many great things and I'm proud of it all but I feel like I haven't met my full potential in poker and I wouldn't have met my or anybody's expectations in that. I'm all for being a bit more humble but I won't let these injuries and concussions turn me into a P***Y A** B****. LET'S F******G GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Bah finally a couple final tables since starting with Adam but 4th and 8th. I might have been shoving a bit too loose. I know icmizer likes shoving the Ax suited hands from all positons a bit wide but I shoved A4s from BTN for 10bbs vs a the cutoff recreational players limp. He's unpredictable but was playing 48/7 so I thought he raised all strong hands he wants to go with and limped junk. The 4th place I 3b resteal jammed Q9s a bit loose too maybe but as the shorty vs agro player I think it's okay he won't call too light.

Two more days of going hard then I gotta work on a new schedule for lower stakes in the mornings. I like waking up early and the routine I've been in. I'll update profit and stuff Monday once I figure it all out.

One last day to go hard on this short term stake.
Hopefully I continue the upward trend in the graph in a bit way:

I weighed in today and I'm at 251 lbs so I lost about 5 lbs mainly from eating and a little bit of exercise. Starting tomorrow I'm going to work on a new MTT schedule. I'm going to change my start time to 7-8am so I can get into the gym at 5:30am for a run everyday. I'm gonna work on picking the best value MTTs across a few sites I don't normally play.

Damn what a brutal month I ran pretty bad everywhere.

-1288 on playnow even there my avg buyin was $39 this month I only played 90 tourneys not enough volume there but with the morning schedule it's tough.

So last updates balances and profits:

Bal:
PN: 2226 cad
BD: 885 cad
BO: 2580
PS: 1127 (withdrew 300)
88: 2393
F : 590

3111+(6690*1.3065)=11851 (+395 cad withdraw)

$12246/$100K

I deposited $500 usd on party down to $159.70.

-340 x 1.31=-445.8

PN: 1496.06 cad (down 730)
BD: 884.89 cad (same)
BO: 2533.87 (down 46)
PP: 159.70 (down 340)
PS: 528 + 1040 should get = 1568 (up 441)
88: 1509.68 (down 883)
F: 604 (up 14)
N: 124.86 (depo 200 down 75)

Overall Down (730+889*1.31)=1165+730=1895

12246-1895=10351

10351/$100K

Humbling month this goal might take a while. I'm going to really work hard on a good new schedule and stick to playing those. I might take M/W nights off and Saturday mornings off long-term. I should create a schedule to stick to for the whole year. I'm taking the next two days off to work on a new schedule and rebuild some popups in my HUD/review stuff.

Damn I thought it was a double digit EV bb month but this higher stakes time stretch wasn't too great:

Smallish sample but I should do some review for BB play and I think maybe tighten up my EP range or just review more spots.
Overall 67k hands played this month I filtered for big blind size 20 since I played a TCOOP ante tourney 170k hands since starting back in MTTs Dec 1st that's pretty solid.
February is a short month but I'm going to aim for 100k hands and 10 evbb in lower stakes just reg speed tournaments.

I'm taking a couple days to redesign my popups and create new notecaddy stats to study population tendencies. If you guys are curious how to create a notecaddy stat I made a quick demo here for a stat:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVGOMtnl0rs

I'll finish all of them tomorrow and get started on creating a solid long-term schedule. I'll try to create a schedule that I could have 20-30% ROI in so no turbos and with an avg buyin of around $15usd-$20usd or $20-$26 cad and around 30-40 tournaments per day. I think I'll write the schedule for each day of the week with a checklist to treat it more like a job and checking off the tournaments each day to make sure I put in the work. I signed up for Jiu-jisu. I'll look at different possibilities for schedules. I think I like waking up early so I'll probably start hitting the gym at 5:30am playing early from around 7am to 5pm and going to Jiu-jitsu a couple nights per week at 6:30pm. The days I don't have Jiu-jitsu I might start later or just play a bit longer. I think Saturdays I'll mainly play the night schedules and start a bit later on Sundays. I might try to completley avoid playing on pokerstars for a bit to rebuild the confidence and bankroll in easier, lower variance tournaments.

Played 1 tourney this month (5th in 7.5k gt) been relaxing and working on things:

$10,805/$100K

USD/CAD is 1.30795 right now, it's been going down worse than projected. I wonder if Summer projections having it at 1.4 will be accurate:

This site predicts it getting as high as 1.45 in the fall:

Might take it semi-easy for another week. I have a few doctor appointments and gotta take some tests and stuff. I have psoriasis I guess it started last summer pretty hard and it's been getting worse since now it's pretty bad all over the body so I need to make it a priority to get that better.

I played last night and at one point I was 1st or 2nd in a bunch of tourneys with a few tables to go especially on Bodog but came 20th in bodog $55 $25k lost 3 way all-in on J86 to 97s and 52s for chiplead pot :S and the rest fizzled out. It'll be nice to ship that $55 nightly tourney sometime this year. I shipped it on a Sunday when it was a turbo $50k gt in late 2015 but that's not the same.

Hope it all pans out friend... Did you make it to the vipassana retreat in Merritt after all? I just did a 20 day course in Thailand ; it was absolutely amazing, challenging, painful and liberating

Hey JS nice was that your first 20 day course?! Do they speak English mainly the course? No I didn't make it out. My car is real bad in the snow so I cancelled and I'll wait till the spring or summer to go back.

Yeah, that was my first 20 day, but definitely not my last (plan on doing one every other year, as you must do a 10 day before doing another 20 day). The instructions are given in English even in none-English speaking countries by alternating in between the 2 languages (I have done a Chinese, Thai, Filipino and Hindi course at this point ).

If your schedule is open, I would recommend Spring over Summer, as it does get hot in the meditation hall during the latter (which makes it harder to face storms of anxiety when it comes out ).

Have you decided if you are going back to work yet Ricky, or sticking with poker? What about the house, I think you mentioned you purchased it already...

Hey cheers I'm going to book it now for the spring. I've decided to keep playing poker at least for the rest of the year. I gotta make another 22k or so by June for the rest of the down payment for an apartment. They let you put the down payment without coming up with the mortgage for new buildings that are being built. I only have to figure out the mortgage in a couple years. I'll try to make that $22k and hopefully $100k in poker and then reevaluate. I'll get back on the grind soon. I'm gonna try to finish a book in a half in one week get the mind sharper again then grind hard again.
