Since it's so rare to face a 4x pot bet I've realized I've never studied the spot so I wanted to review.
I'll plot out my calling range based on MDF then see what Piosolver says to call with after I nodelock the range I think he shoves.
MDF = 1 - (61851/61851+16800)= 1-(0.786)=0.213 x100=21.3% of my range I should call with
Giving myself a range that looks like that with 714 combos I should call with 714x.213=152 combos
With just 6x and Kx I only have 140 combos I think it's fine to overfold in this spot and only call those but for the sake of it I think I should call some Ace high that doesn't have a spade in it. If I choose just A5o and A7o that have no spades but block A6, 76, 65 I get exactly 152 combos so that looks good to me:
Now I'm curious what Piosolver says given I don't think he ever shoves a 6.
First lets look at GTO ranges if he were to have a GTO range for shoving this flop it looks like this:
and vs that range I should call this:
But I think he never shoves 6x and his shoving range looks something like this:
VS that range Piosolver says best response is to call with:
Good to know so it goes with the strongest flushdraws as calls first before the A7/A5 I should've known that and good to know for the future. In case you weren't sure how terrible shoving K2 is there I hope seeing that I don't have to call it that often and almost always call with better makes you realize how terrible it is.
I was a bit choked yesterday but I can't complain I ran good to get there and have made solid progress on my goal.
I plan to play more 3r 180s the rest of the month I hope to actually try to play about 200/week until December so I'll have to make them a priority and just throw in a few MTTs when tables are low and as the 3r traffic dies down.
