Experiencing my first mad while winning spins experience. I've made a lot of horrible hero calls the last 100-200 games, and it's destroyed my cEV. the drop after the peak is around when the herocalling that didn't work happened. I've also been on a bit of a heater. But **** the heater, because I've lost 8 straight 10x's and it's so annoying to lose a 10x spin n go.

Anyways heres my 2nd stake sample so far:

The herocalling obliterated my cEV. was ~72 before. now at like 58 lol. Oh well. I'm moving up to 7s once i play 500 3s. nice to run +ev for once.

So Saturday had some keynote points.

First, made I won a 8.80 zoom turbo for 578.

second, I decided at 1am to register into that Chromestar freeroll. I loathed being in it every second knowing nothing but 1st was really worth it. I ended up 40th at 7:30am for $11 after I ruined my sleep schedule. Never. Again.

Updates on poker:

bricked my tcoop #1/#2 barrels. oh well.

Here's how spins have gone:

Started playing 7s. obviously it's gone well so far. Sick sample size. I'm very confident in my game. I'm ~65-75cEV in 3s. So I think I can move confidently back to 7s. going to play 2 7s and 1 3 at a time for a bit.

Update on life in Korea:

Almost done the "intensive period" that takes place during the students summer vacation. I can go back to waking up at 1pm (thank based god). currently I'm waking up at 8 or 9am like some savage. All work and no play makes Patrick a dull boy. So I should probably start doing more fun stuff. I've partied a little since I've been out here, but its never really been my thing. I dunno, yolo swag right?

Ask you shall receive. I skipped Daegu this past weekend. I read into the whole shady rake/slime-ball stuff from the Korea thread on 2p2. Anyways I might go occasionally still, but not every weekend. This weekend I definitely wont because tcoop>live 1/2. The room is pretty meh.

Sunday night update. So the current 1k game stake is going well stats wise, but I'm super unsatisfied. I've lost my 10th straight 10x spin and am seriously upset about it. My cEV so far in 7s is absurd and I'm running pretty horrible in the big multipliers (6x/10x's). I'm winning through the grind. I honestly think I'd have a soulcrushing ROI if I'd win the bigger multipliers. As it stands right now, I'm getting more confident in my game.

Pic one: stats of my current 1k stake games (697 total)

Pic two: Chip graph of 7s of my current 1k stake games (157 total)

Pic three: Chip graph of 3s of my current 1k stake games (540 total)

Pic four: My overall chip graph of 1697 games since I started the staking/coaching deal.

Lovely my cEV graph. One day I'll win a big boy spin. One day.

edit: Oh forgot to add I got 4th in the phoenix on full tilt for 175. made up for some of my TCOOP punts so far.

Quick update:

Played some mtts on my day off. Got 2nd in a PLO 2r 2x turbo for 300 and 7th in the big 16.50 for 520. Nice day but since I'm a perfectionist it obviously could have been better. Oh well. Had a bunch of other roodypoo cashes that made it nicer too.

and as requested, korean thread saver:

Massive update:

So I've finished my 2nd 1k game stake with my backer. Well I couldn't be any more confident in my spin game. I'm crushing pretty friggin hard. Despite losing 13 straight 10x spin-n-go's. Here's my final results:

So I crushed for $454 profit in spins this stake. I grinded back through makeup and profited ~140-150 after split. It's not the greatest, but the $ isn't what I'm after in 7s. I'm trying to confirm I'm a crusher and move up to the big boy stakes of 15s.

Here's my cEV graphs:

$7 Spin n Go's (359 games)

$3 Spin n Go's (641 games)

My cEV in 7s was 90.22 and my cEV in 3s was 72.44

Here's my chipgraph of the 1k games:

And Here's my overall chipgraph of all 2k games played since I began the staking/coaching:

The graphs look incredibly sexy and I'm happy sofar with my progress in poker.

HOWEVER

I've spent no time on my lifeEV stuff. I'm living in Korea and I'm sitting in my apartment grinding poker. What the hell am I thinking? So here's my February Goals:

- Seriously start learning Korean. I've spent 3 months and gotten by with hand gestures and nodding lmao. I got to seriously plunge myself into it and take it as serious as I have poker
- Find out what Korean tinder is, and use it.
- Apparently theres some language app people use to work on speaking other languages. I think Korean's use it to practice their English. I've heard ppl find girlfriends and stuff on there. SKGG it.
- Party when I'm in Seoul next weekend. Apparently they party pretty hard out here. Maybe find an EDM show and go from there? Find out some bars?

Seriously, I just need to get out more.

I've skipped live poker the past few weekends for online poker reasons mostly. However, APT Daegu got announced, and I have serious plans to play the PLO Highroller and regular PLO event. It's late March. We'll see if I can book off work for the Highroller.

PAPIIIIIIIII!!!! Absolute honor to have you in my thread. Reading your comment inspired me to actively pursue liveEV stuff. I wasn't living a GTO life for sure. Not balanced in the slightest. I do not want to disappoint you with a lack of SKGG'ing.

Anyways, looking forward to February. Hope to have more eventful stuff to post into my thread.

The main is horribly timed. How the hell are you going to make it a 5 day tournament when I doubt it gets more than a few hundred people lol.

Yeah the only viable weekend tournaments are the $500 PLO and the $400 1 day NLHE.

exactly. THE FINAL 8 CONTINUES ON DAY 5.
another problem is they barely have room for 10 tables.

Quick update:

Started the new stake and increased my 10x spin-n-go losing streak to 14. I'm fairly confident I hold a world record for losing 10x spin-n-gos in a row now.

Finished 3rd in a nlo8 3x turbo in the most unreal fashion ever:

Poker Stars $2.00+$0.20 No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Tournament - t50000/t100000 Blinds + t10000 - 3 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

SR23000 (BB): t4729754 M = 26.28
Nekto_KDG (BTN): t537200 M = 2.98
Hero (SB): t3577046 M = 19.87

Pre Flop: (t180000) Hero is SB with Q 5 4 A
Nekto_KDG raises to t527200 all in, Hero raises to t3567046 all in, SR23000 calls t3467046

Flop: (t7691292) J 6 J (3 players - 2 are all in)

Turn: (t7691292) 7 (3 players - 2 are all in)

River: (t7691292) 9 (3 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: t7691292
SR23000 shows Q 5 6 2 (HI: two pair, Jacks and Sixes)
Nekto_KDG shows 5 A K A (HI: two pair, Aces and Jacks)
Hero shows Q 5 4 A (HI: a pair of Jacks)
SR23000 wins t6079692
Nekto_KDG wins t1611600

It netted me $320 usd but I'm still unfathomably mad. What a ****ing puntcall jesus christ.

Life update: I'm heading to Seoul this weekend. Probably gonna hit up walkerhill, and hits some bars. We'll see how a SKGG goes.

Going to Daegu tonight to play/ask questions about APT. Playing all night, then coming home and leaving for Seoul Sunday. I'll go to walkerhill maybe 1-2 times or make a trip to 7luck.

I should also be hitting some sort of bar/club. Work some magic many.

Just got back from my trip to seoul.

Welp, this weekend was a punt. Totalled a net loss (pre travel expenses) of 1200. Oh boy. I'm not really too mad or anything.

Lost 450 in Daegu. I got soulcrushed by a viet whale giving money away for a 1k+ pot. Made a slick raise/call of a 3bet on a flop and backdoored a flush. was pretty wellplayed by him.

Then I punted ~350 in blackjack and 400 at poker in Walkerhill. If anyone saw me, I was the only kid there. I was wearing a St. Louis Rams football jersey. Was only there for 3-4 hours before I bounced. Going with a friend who plays blackjack isn't the best idea. Sorta constricts you.

Anyways I did virtually nothing because I punted the vast majority of the money I brought. Not at all how I expected my weekend to go.

Anywaysssssssssssssssssssssssssss. I'm gonna quit live poker till APT Daegu. I'm going to focus a lot on PLO mtts to hone my craft for the PLO Highroller.

It's been a bit since my last update. I'm sure that's not to big of a deal, they were pretty frequent anyways.

My most recent sample of spins have yielded a relatively unsatisfying results. My coach gave me the thumbs up to try 15s. I immediately felt a great difference in playstyles. my play in 7s is not really applicable to 15s. There is a significant jump where I can do all my neat exploitable raising I'd do in 7s. I also can't just jam on limps because they are becoming balanced now due to regs and smarter fun players. I'll be having some coaching sessions with my coach to assign the correct line of attack here. Initially we said it was something I wouldn't want to jump in with both feet, but it might have to be. I'll have to change my habits, which then would make me prefer staying in 15s and not playing 7s.

So heres my current stake of spins. My small sample of 15s has gone pretty horrible. My last like 20 spins I kept running into the nuts in std jam spots. It dropped to an laughable negative EV. Somethingsomething sample size. Here's also my lifetime of all spins/lifetime graphs of my 7s cEV.

I'm running into a seemingly bad stretch of cards. First time in a bit where my cEV isn't a straight line up.

MTTs have gone meh for me. I ran pretty wild recently, with a FT or bink everyday. Lately it's just been breakeven days or small losing days. Can't complain, just no noteworthy brags. I've made some wonderful punts too.

In terms of live poker, I'm considering dumping the "highroller" PLO. I really don't like PLO MTTs. The more I play them online the more I find them tedious. O8 spoils me. I'll still be playing the other events at APT Daegu. Also, I saw some series the week before announced in Jeju. I'll look into the feasibility of it. I should really consider AirBnB for an option for accommodations.

Now with life as a white boi in Korea. I'm working on my diet. I've cut all sugar drinks from my diet. I polished off my last few energy drinks in my fridge. I'm sticking to water and sugar free drinks. Is chocolate milk still good? I feel like it is. I've also stopped eating fast food. I'm basically eating food that I can cook. It's been centered around meats really. I'm eating kimbop or yogurt for breakfast and chocolate milk. I'm eating whatever is served at work upstairs (which is seemingly healthy OG Korean dishes).

I still need to get some sort of activity in. I need to find a way to play basketball here. Maybe the University has a court or something. Not the easiest to find out. I've asked some Korean's but they aren't too sure.

It's a solid 2 on the 1-10 "have you learned any Korean yet?" question. I've mastered some phrases, but I've put little effort. Still plenty of the month left to work on it.

As for the KGG. It's way easier to say something than actually do it. I'm such a clown. I dunno, maybe one day I'll wake up with the courage to do something. I can usually be pushed into it, but usually lack the drive to pull the trigger on things like this on my own.

Anyways, and KGG/Diet/Spins/MTTs advice greatly appreciated.

P.S. I've been streaming actively. I've had 6 days straight so far. usually 2-4 hours in length. I want a sub button, and I know I can get it.
