Sup Guys,

I got inspired by Doug's challenge and decided to try my hand at going from 0-10k. I play as SamAbernathy on there and started today. I was able to finish 4th in the $100 free-roll for $6.40, then won another $2.34 in cash. My total for day 1 is $8.94, so I'm .0894% of the way there.
I will definable be taking a more Isilur1 approach to this challenge and have very loose bankroll management early on. My focus will be on playing HUSNG's and free-rolls early on, then cash. Wish me luck, berate my play etc.

I will update this thread with the daily balance whenever i play and some interesting hands. I didn't post updates earlier because i was too tired. Here are my end of Day 1 balance and free roll cash receipts.

I was able to make some solid progress today. I won 19/26 Heads UP sit n goes, cleared a $10 bonus and won a bit in cash. My bankroll is now at a whopping $31.79, pretty sick for 2 days in.



I had two memorable hands today, one i screen caturep below. The other was one where Doug Polk Stacked me on stream with a set versus my top two . I did get some nice value bets in on him as well though.

I didn't play the day before because i ate something bad and was feeling weak from pooping 4 times. I decided it was better to spend time in the Lab and analyze some things i was doing. Today i felt much better, but decided to continue lab work. I did play the $100 free-roll and a bit of cash while i was in the tournament.
Finished 60 something and cashed for .19. Busted out losing a classic coin flip AK < QJ




In the cash game there was one interesting spot that came up. I 3 bet pre-flop bet flop and get raised. How do you guys proceed in this hand and why?

Day 3 Bankroll at $33.94

Played cash and things started out bad. I couldn't hold to save my life, but things turned around later in the day and cash was good.
Won a bunch of $1 HUSNG's again went 21/27 and cashed the daily $100 free-roll in 14th for $1.15. Things did not go so well in the $300 guarantee as i lost JJ < KT and JJ < AJ for stacks. I need to work on my flipping game.

Overall super happy with my progress so far, getting close to actually being rolled for .01/.02 cash.

Day 5: Went 5/8 in HUSNG's and won a bit in cash. Wasn't motivated to play too much today. Really today's highlight was watching UFC 202, what a card. I even ended up getting blocked by David Williams on twitter for telling him to go back to the kitchen after he tweeted some stupid shtuff about the fight rematch. Overall, i gotta say it was a good day. Bankroll at $55.13

Day 6: Was a break even day with cash and HUSNG's. Really i played bad and ran bad. Went 9/16. However, i managed to finish 6th in the Upswing Poker weekly free-roll and my bankroll in now $80.80. I will be playing a lot more cash in the upcoming week.

Day 7:

Won a bit in cash, went 8/12 in HUSNG's and shipped a tournament. Woot-woot.
Bankroll is now at $214.54

Day 8:

Played cash and won a bit again. HUSNG results were 5/7. I won the same tournament again today and my bankroll is $600.98. I even took a pretty nasty bad beat for a massive pot with AK < AQ. Obviously, I'm way ahead of expectation at this point and I'm ahead of Doug now in the challenge. Feels good man.

Day 9-10:

Didn't play much the last two days. Cashed 1/2 daily $800 guarantee and up a little bit in cash. Had this hand happen yesterday.



HUSNG results are break even as I'm running kind of sour in those. I've been working some analysis stuff and will be busy tomorrow with arranging my apartment. Will probably increase volume again on Sunday or early next week. Bankroll is $652.22

Day 11:

I cashed out $100 from the account to give to my friend for his account so my total is $100 less than the actual. I will keep a running total going.
Played both the weekly $500 and the Upswing $500 and spewed both super hard. Wanted to either build a stack or go chill for an hour, ended up chilling .
Then i played the nightly 1.5k guarantee and finish in like 19th.


HUSNG's are still break even and cash is ok. I don't think i played great today, wasn't focused. I've also been lazy about capturing interesting hands and will do a better job of that going forward. Bankroll is at $679.55

Day 12:

Went 4/9 in HUSNG's continuing to run kind of bad in these and it's pretty frustrating. Also busted like 4 from the money in the $800 guarantee. Not too sure how i fared in cash. This was the first negative day in the challenge so i can't be too upset. Bankroll is $643.20

Day 13:

I stayed up all night and got a little drunk, then put in an early morning grind session. People were giving me the business and i was having a losing session


So I decided to take a shot at .25/.50 and lost a flip right away.


At this point i was stuck about -$150 on the day and it was only 10:00am. The best course of action was to get some breakfast take a nap and recharged my batteries for a 2nd grind session. I started the 2nd session by playing some $10 HUSNG's and went 11/13 so that was a nice relief.

Then i played cash and recovered a bit more and the nightly tournaments where i didn't cash. Here is one of my bust-out hands.


Ended the day down -$30 and happy to recover most of my loses.`Bankroll is at $613.75

Day 14:

This was a pretty low volume day, but my results were good. I won 4/4 $10 HUSNG's and $32 in cash. Was lucky to win QQ vs AA all in pre flop vs some loser . Bankroll is at 685.74

Day 15:

Withdrew another $100 from my account so my total is -$200 less. I went 1/2 in my daily tournaments, 4/11 in HUSNG's and won a bit in cash. Bankroll total is $707.98

Day 16:

Pretty rough day, I tried out a new avatar and this was clearly a bad idea. Went 4/11 in HUSNG's, 0/2 in tournaments and lost a bunch in cash. Then i started to tilt a bit and made some bad calls.

Highlight of the day was making this hero call in a 3 bet pot where the action was bet, check, bet.


Bankroll took a hit and is at $576.70. Will look to rebound on Sunday Funday.

Day 17:

Some idiot short-stack from northern Europe came to my table and won every all in from behind. Pretty much lost every AIPF in cash again today.




Heads-UP SNG's results were ok, won 6/8.

Went 1/3 in MTT's, but had a deep run in one of them for 7th place and $106.47. Had this happen right on the bubble



I know it might sound ridiculous, but I'm fkn annoyed that i had to make a deep run in an MTT to come out ahead on the day. Bankroll total is at $616.23. Time to go binge watch Narcos.
