Great thread. I wish you would get a little bit more into strat here but still an awesome read and congrats on your success.

Can you talk a little bit about how you study spots?

I mean, I love to talk strategy, and probably a bit too much. But at this day and age, it's kinda bad/stupid to talk strategy at open forums as edges are really pretty thin atleast in my opinion. So not really going to post much or any hands.

About studying, used to do ton of just flopzilla+excel+calculator study back when I was smallstakes-lowmidstakes player, just to get a good feeling of ranges interact with boards, what continuing ranges look like, what frequencies of stuff ppl have on different spots etc. But nowdays It's just mostly playing around with piosolver and trying to find spots where I think ppl deviate. Also database analysis of pool tendencies is something I do once in a while, usually every time I've moved up a few stakes.

Final results, meh small nosedive on the last session of the month, so didnt break the 50kev line. Almost 20k ev under ev (again), but still close to 30k month, a bit under that after action selling, but still a nice month.

April, LETS ****ING GO!

YTD

Highstakes (1-2k), after the successful shotting 1. dec. Still a small sample, but evbb going good so far.

Not sure I'm gonna keep pcg active from now on tho. Might be last update.

GG timbeys, Guess sklansky was saving my cash mony for these.

Lost AKvsAQ 3 left and covered the 3rd guy, obv river spiked him. Then grinding back again. Need to fold to river raise on one 3 street valuehand, then lose AQvs66 pre for 20 or so biggies.

12-13h sess and +18kish total for the day, ok start of the month.

Gotta respect the guys that play mtts. First of all, my brain is getting desteroyed of all the random **** happening. The hours are such a killers for brain. Final tables gotta be like the most ******ed form of poker ever.

Start of april been pretty slow in terms of volume. After the MTT sess had to take 1 (might've taken 2) day off as was so toast, and after that my sleep sched has been all kind of ****ed up so haven't played too many hands. Also taking small trip next week, so volume during April gonna suck balls, goal is to hit 40k hands, but I'm happy if I even hit 30k.

Today I woke up at 3am and games were pretty dead and was really in the mood toplay, so tried to get some battling going on and found Jungle slumming it up at NL2k and ended up poppin few tables. Was so much fun to play this game : - D. But need to be prob bit careful with the battling esp at 2k. It's just too much fun, but the EV sucks unless you are the best. And even though my evbb/100 over past 6 months or so is pretty good and "crushing" highstakes over 100k sample, I have no idea if I'm winning in like any lineup 3-4 handed. But battling is kinda good, esp vs good players as it forces you think so hard every hand to be sure you are playing every spot as best as you can, and the important spots come up frequent so you just get ton of spots to review. Like on average whenever I regbattle (not a lot), I mark atleast 10-20 hand per hour that I go over after the session.

Few fun hands from the session.

Used to play around quite a lot with photoshop when I was younger and figured I'd give it a try again. It's kinda fun and relaxing to just play around with it for hours, definitely gonna do it a bit more in future. Also planning to actually get camera at some point and start taking photos frequntly. Probably good to have another hobby besides poker where you can just immerse in for hours after having bad session etc.

Hey man it's awsome that you are getting into photography it's a pretty cool hobby i think i might be switching my major from engineering to film atm too, currently doing some freelance photography work on my own this year after a boring/depressing 4 month grind in montreal where i took a break from poker after that, but now i'm back to playing poker + photography.

I'm guessing you are looking to do portrait photography or street photography, nice pic of the girl btw

Get a dslr if you plan on pursueing photography this is a pretty good website where you can pay like a down payment each month on your gear. Also get a post-processing software like adobe lightroom + PS $10/monthly sub and start learning stoof

      https://www.keh.com/

and B&H + adorama are really good as well.
