Biggest losing day evrrrrr, but wcyd when getting preflop coolers and losing flips all day. Actually a lot easier for my mentalgame to take beats like this than blufffcatches/bluffs failing, while they are all kinda the same, just easier to see the preflopbadbeats in graph compared to when running into top of range. Also lost like 1k untracked. Down a lot for the month, 15kish, but not even worried as ev still positive and evbb ok. Just need to keep grinding and not go busto : - D, probably dropping 2k for a bit until BR at certain mark again.

Guess my mental game is getting stronger and a lot of that I think is something Joey talked in his podcasts, when you got a sample and are confident you can win at the games, downswings are a lot easier to deal with, compared to when you are shotting new stake etc. Now I got quite a big sample of midstakes with pretty good evbb winrate, and after december got a lolsample of NL1k and bit of 2k of 40k hands with very good evbb.



Now got this student party thing I gotta go, but most likely not going to drink too much and skip afterparties so I'm able to grind tomorrow. LFG ROSTUCKO FEBRUARY!

Kinda painful month in a way, but feeling more confident than ever in my game, starting to get sample of NL1k+ and it's looking pretty good, this year I think like 75% of my volume has been 1k+. Obv sucks running this much under EV (sklansky owes me so much for past 5 months), but WCYD just gotta grind trough it. But because my evbb was going strong all month, wasn't really worried and also sold % of the 2k action almost whole month so kinda makes it a bit easier. After action sold, I'm pretty much breakeven, maybe up few k, not sure.

[ ] 20k (ev)profits, result goals are lul but w-e.
[ ] Go to gym 3-4 times a week and increase weights to -> Squat 110x5, DL 140x5, inclbench 67.5, atm standing at 100 squat, 120-130 dl (in my program i do 5x5 squat and then 1x5 DL, so not gonna be able to do max weights then, but if I start with DL, i can easy lift like +10kg more), 62.5 incl bench.
[ ] finish intelligent investor (like 100 pages in, so gonna be hard).

[ ] 4k elo at overwatch : - D, did placements yesterday and sitting at 3.7kish (was GM last season), BUT there's a big but, if bastion not gonna get fixed I'll be playing a lot less.

Well I've noticed that i can play like max 5-6h a day and after that I start losing focus, so after that I usually study a bit and play videogames etc.

That first graph terrifies me. I dunno how you stay mentally strong in the face of such brutality, so I'm very impressed that you apparently do.

It's a lot easier dealing with downswing when your ev graph isn't dropping a ton, because you can easily justify to yourself that you are just running bad. Even though like I've previously stated, that this is in no way guaranteed as a lot of the variance isn't really showed in the difference between resultgraph and evgraph. You can be running ok even though you are a ton under EV and the other way.


But overall I think I deal with money in poker in very GTO way. By this I mean that Im very indifferent to losing or winning a lot of money. Never really been scared of moving up where "money is bigger" etc that I think a lot of players have, and it can definitely hold some players back. Why move up from NL200 when you can grind decent 5k+ per month? Think it's mostly because I really don't "have use" for the money I make at poker and view it kinda like a video games where money is just a way of keeping score, if I win or lose 10k, I'm not thinking what I could or could have bought with that money. Overall my lifestyle haven't changed almost at all from back when I was still playing micros, well nowdays I buy a bit more takeout and bought a 3k car few months ago, but mostly I just wanna make money so I can play higher stakes. I just enjoy the game of poker a lot.
