Been thinking of starting a PCG, so I can post stupid **** here. Not at all sure how active this is going to be, but LETS GO!

tl:dr

- Finnish 21 yo kid
- At the moment in uni
- Maybe taking a year off to focus on poker after bachelors (only for a year like max).
- Started poker like at the summer of 2014, so about 1.5 year ago
- Playing 6max 2 card PLO (NL), lately been learning a bit of MTTs, and probably at some point in future learning the 4 card PLO.
- Was stuck at NL50 for way too long time, moved to NL100 like 1-2 month ago.

Goals for rest of the year:

- Don't fail courses at uni
- Grind the bankroll up and battle at NL200-400
- Work on my game every week
- Post stupid **** to this thread

One fun hand from todays grind (don't expect a lot of strat here):

At the moment having a free week from school, got exam week but no exams anymore so been grinding poker hard for the past few days. Results have been quite horrible this week, but lets hope it turns around (graph will come at the end of the month). Been running horrible, being ******ed in some spots and getting caught bluffing a lot ;___; .

But anyway still think I have a ok edge at 100 against most regs, just need to trust my gut in some bluffcatching spots a bit more and not try to be a hero.

Some spew hands, because who doesn't love a bit of spew.

What Ipoker skin are you on? and do you play reg spd o is there any fast poker in this. Asking only because I've been thinking for a while of trying out an Ipoker skin - not trying to get int on you....I won't playing 100NL anytime soon.
          10-16-2015 , 10:03 AM
I play on betfair, and yes there are speedtables on every iPoker skin, but the limits that run always skip one limit. Like NL20 and NL100 runs, but NL50 never runs afaik (think it has something to do with rake structure), but not 100% sure anymore as I don't play those. Also retty sure the speed is much more bot_infested compared to reg tables, even though NL50 reg tables had quite a lot of bots.

Wasn't supposed to post graphs and check results until end of the month, but **** it (obviously I wouldn't have posted session graph if I had lost xD). Here's todays session, games were super good, only played from 24->. NL100 only

Obviously we also need one punt here.

Haven't updated the thread for few days as I've been busy grinding and with uni stuff.

Been mixing some NL200 tables lately and feel pretty confident there as it's mostly just the same regs that play 100. Been changing a lot in my game for past few weeks, which obviously has lead into a bit ( a lot) of spew in some spots, but still overall feel really good about my game and hope to move mostly to 200 over next month.

Don't really want to give my thoughtprocess away (as regs at the same games can pretty easily find out my SN if they cared), but like I've worked a lot on GTO stuff like almost from the start when I started playing poker. Obviously this was kinda not a good idea when you were playing at micros as your winrate isn't exactly skyrocketing from bluffcatching and barreling balanced ranges. Pretty sure that this mentality was something that kept me at NL50 for way too long.

But the trick is not to try to apply the stuff that much into your game, esp against the weaker regs, but more to use it to spot weakness/leaks in players and abuse that.

Was supposed to go to sleep at 00:00, wake up early and go to morning lecture. Couldn't sleep so decided to battle a bit at 200. Was fun, hopefully I continue to run good so I can quickly move my volume completely to NL200.

Tried to post some hands, but for reason HM isn't coperating :///

MTD. Was almost going to be a quite disappointing month due to running bad on £ tables, and got wreckd at 200 at start. Took another shot at 200 yday and crushd/sunran. Not 100% how accurate the rb graph is.

              Looking forward for next month.

Been changing a lot in my game during the month which caused alo of spewwww.

Played a MTT as they had this "Finnish championship series" on one finnish only site, so decided to play the 100€ main for ****s and giggles. Like I'm pretty clueless of MTT strat/ ranges in some spots, but still have spent like at least 4-5 hours studying some shove/reshove spots a month or two ago, so I have some clue but I'm still pretty terrible.

Sunran in most spots and went pretty deep in sub 400 player field. Was still the chipleader when there was like 25 players left. Then lost a flip for like 50-60% of my stack AKs vs JJ and, then a bit later went for reshove SBvBU 30bb deep with A4s and got snapped against AA. Still I'm pretty sure it's +chipEV. 28-35bb 3b spots are something that are quite confusing to me. Pretty sure that GTO it's to use dualsizing here with polarized 3b to non-allin size and then have a jamming range aswell. But like it has to be super ******ed to only have 3b range of like 2bb->5.5/6.5bb, that most MTT players seem to use.

Though not sure if I should be passing some spots like this as the tournament was super soft, although most of my edge is in the +40bb spots where we actually play postflop lol. D

+450ish€ profit from MTT, but lost a bit at 200, still ended up +€€€€€ for the day. Doing pretty good at 200, and like 99% sure that I can beat it for decent winrate, most regs still seem to have huge leaks in some spots, although pretty sure this is what every reg thinks of other regs : DD. Pretty much only have though time against the guys from the stable I'm in and also few crazy mother****ers confuse me from time to time.

Interesting to hear you guys had a stable there.
No comment about the skill level of regs, as I was definitely one of the biggest bumhunters / rakeback grinders :P
My confidence isn't that high anyways, as I've been downswinging for the last 2 months, so I dunno how good reg I was. Definitely lost my money there
But I do think that if you want to beat iPoker, make regs your #1 priority, then the fish.
I don't think it's even worth your time to play the worst tables, where you have 4 regs and 1x 30/15 regfish.
Many of the iPoker regs were very solid at 200. No obvious leaks or obvious tendencies.

And yeah I would say that every month your game progresses. you figure out something new and think to yourself, "how did I beat the games in the past?". But you don't realize that you still have leaks, and by implementing new stuff you are creating new leaks, because you don't execute the new strategies perfectly. Most important thing is continuous growth as a player.
I look back at my time on iPoker and think how much I sucked, but I was STILL doing things maybe 80% perfectly, now I'm working on the 20%. So if you see regs have "obvious leaks", they might still be doing most of the stuff correctly. It is maybe those few leaks that keep them at their current level
But I definitely think we Finns can make it to the top (following the footsteps of MillionsFolds)

              Time for update.

              Today

Had quite a tilting day, nothing was really going my way and ended up making plays that I might've not done being on my A game, missed few explofold spots etc, but overall think I played okayish. Also started battling a bit on this finnish only site, which was quite fun, no HUD though so that sucks. Shouldn't feel as bad as I for some reason feel atm, it's only ~4 bi, due to the matafaking £ tables.

Poker is such a guessing game when you have no HUD, it takes like one layer of the game totally away, most decisions are like "whatever doesn't matter", because you can't even begin to estimate the EVs of decisons when you have so limited amount of info. Some guys are keen to say that it makes poker more interesting, to me it makes poker a lot boring. Yeah if you play in a small pool you can get a feel on their game, but it still isn't the same.

Lets post MTD graph while we're at it. Like the graph shows, month has been quite a rollercoaster. Hope the variance cools a bit. Still pretty confident I can tackle the 200 pool even though results so far are meh. Well I still got good/verygood winrate at 200 over insignificant sample, but unluckily the £-tables have basically shat on me over the few thousand hands I've played on those.

Goals for the rest of the month:

To have sickest redline of the winning players at pool (I hear this is directly relative to the size of your dick) [ ]
Do at least few hours of labwork everyday, Mondays and Tuesdays atleast twice the hours as games are **** [ ]
Try to get a pass on most courses at uni [ ]
              Continue to destroy 200 [ ]
              Have an upswing!!! : DD [ ]

Edit: Lets add one hand to make for ****s and giggles. Villain is a ****** that is crushing, well that is quite contradicatry. Maybe he isn't as ******ed as I think. His playstyle seems to be effective vs the nitregs.
