I´m currently on a bankroll challange. Started about 1,5 years ago, decided it was time to post challange on 2+2.

Here are the rules:
- Start at 4NL (6max) with a BR of 20 BI´s.
- When I reach 50 BI´s for current level I move to the next level.
- If I drop below the starting BR for the previous level, I drop down to that level. For example: If I start playing 10NL with $200 and BR gets down to $80, I drop down to $4 NL.

Personal background (tl,dr):

Started playing poker 6 years ago.
The first year I played cash games (6max & FR), SNGs and MTTs to find out what I was good at. Turned out to be SNGs.
Played SNGs for 2 years. Made my way to $22 with a decent ROI. Also played (and cashed) in some Steps-tournaments on Party.
2 years ago my wife (yes, I am and old guy) gave birth to twins. I realized that I would never have an uninterrupted hour again, so I had to switch from SNGs to cash games.
Started playing FR $25NL. Ran like god and won $235 in 10k hands (9,4 bb/h). Realized that if I wanted to go up in stakes I had to start playing 6max.
Switched to 6max, and after 22k hands I was down $92 (running well over EV). Not good.
Realized shorthanded cash games and SNGs were very different. Don´t know how many times I stacked of with top top.
Realized I needed to re build my game from scratch. Seems smarter to learn from mistakes playing 4NL than 25NL, but I needed a motivation to play that low.

Oct 18 2010 I started the bankroll challange.

We´ll see how often I post here. Time... Is problem! Perhaps some hand histories, perhaps a kind of "poker diary". We´ll see.

I´ve been thinking about why I´m doing much worse at 25NL compared to 4NL & 10NL. Of course, the opponents are better, but not that much better.
I have several answers:
- I´ve played to loosely pre-flop, especially OOP. At 4NL and 10NL I played 23/16. There I could get away with beeing loose because I was so much better post flop than most of my opponents. This far I play 24/18 at 25NL, and this is simply to loose. I´m not that good. I´ve started to tighten up from UTG, Hi Jack and Small Blind. I used to raise (when unopened) 18%, 20% and 36% respectivly in these positions. All of a sudden people care about (and use) position, and I get left in som tricky spots OOP. Now I play 11%, 15% and 25% from those seats, and life is much easier. (If BB is a rock I of course steal as much as I can get away with.)
- I also level myself into thinking people play much more tricky than they do. I think they have FPS, which in turn gives me FPS. This puts me in lots of difficult spots. Instead of believing people "have it" I try to fight for every pot, which is not good. Now I try to get out of the hard spots early, and life is easier (and the profit bigger). I still try to play good, but I don´t 4-bet light, float or bluffraise when I only have 25 hands of history. with someone
- I was also forcing myself to play more hours than I should during a period when I was worn down and stressed out. Not good.

The "new me" plays tighter (especially OOP), doesn´t do fancy plays without a read and doesn´t play when he´s half asleep and pre-tilted.
Hopefully I´ll be out of 25NL in another 25k hands.
