I will likely fail at this PC&G like my other two PC&G's that just never got off the ground but at least this one will, even if its for about as long as the first flight by Orville (12 seconds is possibly the amount of time it will take for me to go bust in this one).

No details about me besides the ones from before: I currently work a job in logistics at a warehouse, looking to work for the state in PA, and I am going to school on the GI Bill. I am never going to cover personal finance or anything like that, unlike previous failed PC&G's that no one gave a crap about but I will post about some hands played and giving a running bankroll total. However, I will leave some funny stories from time to time because while I suck at poker, at least my writing will be appreciated...maybe.

I started with $1,000 on Monday and have only had the chance to play twice since, with the first time losing $200, and the second time winning $255, for a total of +$55 in profits after just four hours of poker. Still, I am not unpleased with the first real poker I have played in a few months.

I am posting the start date of this as Monday, September 26th, 2016.

Hours played: 4
Profit to date: $55
Running BR: $1055

Will make a post after each session, here on out, which starts tomorrow. Good luck to all fellow PC&Gers and the trollers and supporters that follow.

Played today for three hours, it went decent. I feel I played well and it was a good morning game, more so than before when I had been to my local casino. Just a short post from my phone while on break from work but will post after tomorrow's session(s) and at least one hand from each session.

Hours played: 7
Profit to date: $513
Bankroll: $1513

LucidDream posted this on Pure_Aggression PC&G and I thought it pretty much summed it up for me at this point in my life...though he was talking about himself and trying to motivate Pure or really anyone:

Take this from someone that has had many sub 1000 hour years and moved to LA to play 5/10+ after Black Friday. I was lazy, didn't handle adversity well for awhile and bounced between 20/40nl and 5/5nl with most of my hours at 5/10. I couldn't ever seem to make things stick at 10/20 and when I would hit a bad stretch I would play less hours and distract myself with other things. In actuality if you're planning to play professionally this is where you have to turn it up prove to yourself what you're actually made of if you want to move up in stakes. The reason you can't make 2/5 stick is most likely bc you're giving up too quickly. 600 hours on the year for someone that plays 1/2 and 1/3 as their main game is pretty pitiful tbh if you think of yourself as a pro. You only build confidence and improve in life by living up to your potential in the areas you're focusing your time and energy. And all areas of your life affect one another so by living up to your potential in poker, you increase your confidence and that will expand out to your ability to make music and art as well as your social life....tho it's true that those areas will have to fall behind for awhile for that to happen. Ultimately though, true happiness comes from your ability to live up to your potential as a man and accomplish what you set out to accomplish in life. And in your pursuit of doing that with all the trials and tribulations along the way, your sense of happiness comes from realizing you're on your way to doing that no matter what results have shown up in the past. I think it's really hard as a man to be happy in life if you aren't as successful as you know you're capable of being in your career.

Just wanted to share, hope it motivates people, if this is something they really want to do long term. I am by no means anywhere near him, in any terms in life besides maybe my former career, and definitely not poker, but it hit home anyway on a life perspective basis.

One hand from today's session worth posting...

Hero image: particularly tight, not calling a lot of open raises at all, mainly opening around once an orbit, maybe even less, just due to the large amount of preflop openings and no real room to get any hands in, as far as being able to be the first to open. For a 1-2 game at 10 a.m., there was a lot of action, and found myself staying tighter with my preflop selection, and just waiting it out...since the post flop play was atrocious as far as hand strength vs pot size. Overall, my image was seen as tight.

I moved seats into a position where I could get the aggressive players on my right, but one of them moved two seats to my left and a newer player took the seat four seats behind me. So, before the hand, the dynamic I wanted to create back fired, but not for the hand I am about to explain.

I had 4h4s out of the small blind and the player UTG was the most aggressive player at the table, constantly opening to $15 since he sat down, but after noticing he only got a little bit of action, and sometimes none, he started to just do $10, but no one was really folding to him either.

UTG raises to $10, CO, button, SB (Hero) and BB all call. The effective stack was the BB with $145 behind to the flop, but UTG and I had the most with about $450 each at this point.

FLOP: J94 rain

I knew the UTG player would Cbet here and the BB was definitely a call station, but much to my surprise when I checked, the BB looked at his cards, went to bet, just the smallest flinch, and then just motioned to check. The UTG player made it $18, the button called, and I felt the BB might re-raise here so I just flatted the $18. I had already witnessed the BB player call off $115 on a board of 853 all diamonds with Jd3h, into a pot of only $45, so I knew he definitely had some gamble in him. Also, while I do know a lot of the morning players at my local casino, I did not know him, but a lot of the other players were all happy when he showed up, saying things like they hope he gets in for a thousand, and crap like that. So far, he was not letting them or me down: he re-raised to $40 and both players ahead of me just flatted.

I considered flatting, knowing the BB would likely just jam the turn for around $100 at this point, and the others might put some money in bad with hands like TPTK or even just any KJ or QJ hand. There would not be a lot of draws hitting after the turn based on the board, except maybe QT or T8 (atrocious, but possible in 1-2, especially this session after only an hour), and I felt that I needed to get value from my hand right then and there. So, I raised another $115 on top, the BB immediately went all-in for his $100ish stack and the UTG player tanked for two minutes, said he had AJ and folded, and the button quickly folded...board was clean and I scopped versus J8os, lol.

My thoughts on this hand are pretty simple: I could have made a flat here after it went to $40, then had the BB bet something like $45 on the turn, and made more from the other two players. I probably made a fast decision rather than thinking about hands I could have extracted more value from by just flatting and waiting. Some will argue I actually did the right thing, some won't, but it was a spot where I think I could have extracted more chips, at least from the UTG player, because he did have a strong enough holding to continue against smaller bets, and while I did put him on a hand like that, possibly, I also knew with the frequency of his opening, in any position, his range was pretty wide and it was hard to just narrow him down to TPTK or a jack with any decent kicker in this spot. Sure, seems elementary, and maybe I just need to keep the types of lines I did in this hand, but it posed something to think about.

Thoughts are appreciated, but this PC&G is not me really asking for it either...

Played a session today and was almost late for work due to this hand.

Hero raises to 12 (1-2) with AKcc from UTG+1 and player to his left who has been a bit of a calling station post flop flats and everyone else folds.

Flop: KJQ rain

Hero leads out for 25 and gets called

Turn: T (two clubs on board now)

Hero looks at V stack and he has 175. Hero bets 100. V quickly calls.

River: 5h.

Hero jams and Villain tank folds KJ.

So yeah, that's how the action was at most tables and honestly I was in the worst game in the room.

Hours played: 9.5
Profit to date: $1003
Bankroll: $1503

Heard a lot about it but no...I play over in Grantville, PA, but switched the times I play there to gain a better grasp of the player pool because while the weekends have more action, sometimes that is bad because there are a lot of spots where I don't know where I am at and the morning crew during the week is a lot lower variance and easier to figure out.
