Hello to all, Ive been playing online poker since 2010, I consider myself as decent LAG, holding great winnings in the long run, but with problem of the volumen and/or the hours I dedicate to play and be at the tables, right now I have a full time job (working for a sportsbook in Costa Rica -60h a week-), so the main objective is to get out from there, the important thing is the patience I have for doing that, I mean, it doesnt matter if that is going to be taken 50 or 70 months or even more, but from now on, my major goal in life is to go behind doing something for a living that you love and enjoy very much.

Things to be done:

-18-20 hours per week sitting on 4-5 10nl PS tables
^ This is how Id like to begin this journey

-We can add 3 - 4 workout days at the GYM

-Destroy -EV hobbies like drinking, partying, etc... (Ive 3 months working on this already and doing it pretty well)

-*I do CS service at the sportsbook, when Im not over the phone, Im over the whole 2+2 forum (learning, posting, reading...), such a good and important plus for being 60h a week at the book.

Ill be putting all kind of stuff and updating all progress.

Hello all, thank you guys for the positive vibe, I just started yesterday my whole challenge, from Sunday to Sunday are my weeks into this challenge, here is what I did yesterday (exited to do better everyday):

10nl -> 5h -> 1494 hands -> 26.6 WR -> 36.4/ 32.3/ 13.6
http://imgur.com/hc9CaVe

One thing I did was opening one mtt (specially bounty), didn't win it, however, this is like fuel, this keeps me in front of my computer and playing, I do not exceed more than one at the time just to continue the focus on cash games, I prefet the bounty ones just because I usually get the entry back, Id like to hear some opinions.

I really hope to crush this week in all aspect,

Do your effort as well guys, have a good one.

Ill be posting some more on the next days, I'm expecting to play a lot of volume this week.

Appreciate it ARCANGEL0

Today is the last day of my second grinding week, these are the results for the last 2 weeks since I started:
31h -> 10196 hands -> 4.22 WR ---> $22.31 up -> 31.2/27.4/12.7

Last weekend I tried 16nl but lost 4 BI, however my game improved so much since then because of that, I felt like I have to be humble to play as a better player, I just give it as much as I can to be really into it, concentrate that much that I don't even listen to music, used to smoke weed while playing but not anymore, also, I accepted the fact of learning on every single day.

I hope to play more than 20h this next week and do my best, I really suggest you guys complete concentration at your tables, close that door of your room and enjoy the temple of poker

No one can imagine how bad I want this challenge to be done, I will try hard to get better and play huge quality volume. I have increase my WR since the last update but I know I can do much better.

Here all the stats:

fb picture uploader

Since this whole thing started Ive just visited the GYM 3 times ( 2 weeks and 3 days), also Ive played 36h on 4 tables, the more I play the more I feel confident of beating the game.

I need to win 25 BI more to give it a shot on the next level, I will work hard and be very compromised to get them.

Sub'd.

Taking care of your health is definitely +EV. I like hearing people make it a priority and part of their lifestyle.

Do you mean get out of your sportsbook job or Costa Rica? I hope it's not the latter because Costa Rica seems like heaven on earth to me,especially the coast. Seems like a place where I would move if for some reason online poker got banned in my country and I couldn't play from here anymore. Because cost of living in Costa Rica aren't very high you can make more than average salary while playing 25nl or 50 so your goals are def achiveable in much less than 50 months.

How do you do this? Serioudly, I have to leave my phone in other room and use software to block all programs which can play music before a session or eventually I will find a way to play music.

Will follow this thread. GLGLGLGL!

Not leaving CR, I love here, what Id love to do is leave the sportsbook and start doing only poker for a living, well adding at least another extra $$ entry but will think about that later... I expect to do it in between 12 - 20 months, need to save money and increase BR as much as I can.

I really appreciate you're following this thd, it adds motivation, good motivation. Yes, its about discipline, these all distractions are really affecting your WR, I start doing only poker when a session and it really increases and helps my WR a lot. Its worth so do yourself a favor and start following that discipline as well.

Right now, since the challenge started, Im winning 25 BIs 19k hands and 12 WR at 10nl, almost ready for 16nl on May 1st. I know I can do way better, more volume, better WR, will do my best on these next days.

    Are you from CR? If not, how did you end up getting a job there? I was seriously thinking of packing up and moving there last December, but the wife wasn't too sure about the whole ordeal, however, I would still seriously consider moving there. My brother owns some property there and it needs to be developed. My plan was to go there and just grind for a few months, but having a second job would be ideal.

    GL with your goals!
