First of all let me say i am not here to make friends, i am here to kick your ass and take your money.

A little about myself, im not that mean, just wanted to start the thread off with a few laughs. I am 27 years old, married with 4 kids. Ive played poker professionally for the last 7 years. My main game has been DoN sngs. Lifetime ive made over 300k playing these games. Things have been wild for DoNs. Ive went from pokerstars->Merge->intertops->acr/bovada-> to my final DoN home, Ignition. Based on recent events leading to lower roi potential in the $52.50 DoNs on ignition (more regs,more collusion) aswell as my wife being promoted, we've decided its a good time for me to transition into cash games. My goal is to achieve a higher profit ceiling obv, aswell as becoming a better player longterm as DoNs are mainly lolpushfold. Ive had some success in mtts during my career, with about 60k in mtt winnings scattered over the 7 years ive played professionally. Mtts are fun but soul crushing so i dont play them much as they make me want to punt cute kittens 100 yards.

Ive withdrawn most of my roll and left $1000 on. I will start at 25nl 6max. I dont have any set BRM requirements as of yet. Just basically getting my feet wet and seeing where im at in the current player pool skill wise. Worst case scenario is im a cash fish and am sent back to DoNs with my tail between my legs. Best case scenario is ive found my new niche. Im using the hand history converter so my hands/graphs will be posted 24 hours after completion.

My purpose for this thread is to help keep me somewhat accountable and to give others the opportunity to learn from my mistakes.

No i dont use a HUD

Well i played a decent session today, about 4 hours and i made 10 bucks. One thing i realized is i just do not find the nl cash grind fun at all and realized i do not want to put in the time and effort into becoming great at nl cash. I know i didnt get in this game to have fun, i got into it to make money but for me happiness is huge.

With that said, one game ive always found fun was omaha 8 or better. Ive played a little over 10k hands on ignition this year (graph below) at 25plo+50plo8. What excites me about this game is its full of action and its fairly easy to get entire stacks in the pot. Ive had my fair share of limit omaha 8 hands i just chose plo8 instead because its easy to force people off hands where as limit its just "one big bet" to call. I enjoy this game alot ,as you can tell by my redline , and im looking forward to transitioning from DoNs to plo8 and im pretty sure this will be my main game going foward (unless i lose obv, then its back to dons). I will be sitting 6max tables- a mix between 25plo8 and 50plo8, im fine playing hu since ill be starting tables most of the time but i assume most of my play will be 4 handed+. BRM plan is i can take a shot at a certain stake once i have 20 buyins, move down if i lose 1 buyin. Keep trying until im established at that level. So once i hit $2000 .50-$1 here i come!

Played a a ton of 100plo8 today as well as 50plo8 when 100 wasnt running. The day started out rough i was able to scrape out some profit when the dust settled so im happy about that. My redline kinda flat lined so im kinda bummed about that. Ill make sure i bump up the aggression going forward hehe. I can start impoting 100plo8 hands tomorrow once ignition allows me to download the hand histories (24 hours after hand completion) im still trying to figure out how to post hands so once i do ill post some interesting ones and some ones where i punted lol.

thanks man. I won a ticket through the $33 10 seat satty. I usually play that and the $19.80 50 seat satty to the 100k every sunday. i think once im established at higher levels, $1-$2+ ill probably just buy right into the 100k on ignition and/or the $109 100k on wpn. Both of which are tons of fun to me..

Holding off on a detailed update right now as some of you are aware of ignitions horrible lag the last couple days, hand histories are currently not available for download. Which is a bummer. It is also a blessing because i got absolutely slaughtered today at .50-$1 (lost 3 buyins, standard i guess), so it gives me the chance to make up some ground rather than posting a brutal graph

Nice score and best of luck onwards, the lag is brutal as of late. Have emailed support and the best answer I got was "clear your cookies/cache and turn off gameplay animations, none of which has helped in the slightest.

yea ignition is refusing to make a statement taking responsibility. Its a shame. Im sad to say i tilted a few buyins off because of the circumstances. Mental game is definitely something i need to work on with cash. Sngs i didnt have a problem as it was a pretty straight forward grind for me after having done it for so long.

Thank you, i think the redline being so high has its pitfalls, my blue line suffers but overall im pretty happy with my play minus a few spaz outs which im sure will hold me back from becoming a great player, something ill try and look deeper into with hm2. As far as studying goes, i havent really studied plo8 much, ive just learned by experience. When i played dons i did some icm work but overall in my career ive just learned by trial and error. I wouldnt recommend that to anyone especially in 2017 given all the information out here. For plo8 however there isnt much info out there and the crushers arent really willing to divulge any. I do have a friend of 5 years whos played plo8 for a living for the last 8 years or so. If i have any questions i usually ask him and he is brutally honest, which i appreciate. He plays on WPN so luckily i dont have to battle him any time soon

Like you I myself got bored of nl cash and put a good amount of volume to plo8 husng had soo much fun but ended up down 2 buy ins after 1200 tournis so just couldn't do it anymore if you learn anything interesting please share


edit: also why focus on DoN if your winrate was high enough you never wanted to move over to triple ups? better roi no?

I never really liked triple ups i liked the speed of DoNs also after playing them for years i never wanted to switch until recently. Ill share some interesting plo8 hands soon but it appears the 2+2 hand history converter is broken at the moment

So i got spanked pretty good at .50-$1, it was a combination of spazz play, lack of sleep and tilt from ignitions connection issues all day. Mental game isnt my strongest point but its something im actively working on. Currently following a 20 buyin rule so once i dip below that im moving down. Im sitting on $2000 right now so once i have $2100 ill take another shot at .50-$1. Today was pretty wild, i was able to take a shot but it failed. So hopefully tomorrow will bring success. Just taking it step by step, im still pretty confident in the future so lets keep grinding Also played some $5-$10 limit O8 which was pretty fun as i was able to walk away +$200 might not touch that game until i have 3k or so as it can be swingy.

I like the tripple ups. Its only really worth it when i can get 2 or 3 up at a time during peak traffic and they usually dont last more then 45 min.

Anyways, crush them. glgl.

i think one would have to have a huge roi to offset the lower volume you get since they are 9 handed instead of 6 handed. Triple ups are officially dead now though due to the 10% rake imo. Impossible to beat that especially in turbos. Thankfully they never touched DoN rake.
