Definitely good to be in the positive, that's for sure.
Honestly I do not really have plans to become a pro even though I think I'd be able to. I've never really wanted to be a poker pro and the more that I play live poker, the more the idea repulses me. Grinding live can be loads of fun, but you subject yourself to such a grimy demographic. Of course I could just play online, but I'd rather pursue other endeavors.

With that said, I've put in a few live sessions this month (all 1/2). The big bad beat jackpot at Playground is currently sitting at over 1.1M and there has been a ton of action as a result. I actually find the games more reg heavy as of late though. It has been a grind to put in the hours and sit there seeing 20-27 hands/hour. Definitely a tough transition from playing 2-5 tables heads up at once where the action is always on me and I'm playing practically ATC.
Anyways, have been running poorly live for a while but it does not really matter since it does not change much. Here are a few hands I played from the other night. The first hand is an example of my fancy play syndrome and how I've actually been trying to cut out plays like that and just play straightforwardly (at least at 1/2). It's tough because by playing more disciplined and straightforward, I am essentially telling myself to think less about the game which is stupid.
Also few funny moments from live.
1. Lady from J9o hand was telling me I looked like her nephew and pulled up pictures on her phone and showed me lol. At one point she wouldn't stop talking about it so I was just like maybe I am your nephew!
2. I opened to 10 utg in a game and some reg min 3bet to 20 from B to isolate me in postion and we checked it down on like AK748r or something. I won vs his Q2s and was like get rekt this ain't online buddy! About a minute later guy on my left leaves and reg immediately changes places to my left haha. Gotta be careful giving them information!
3. Guy flopped a straight flush other night vs higher flush and shows his hand 95dd on 876ddd vs some old timer and it checked to turn and old timer bet and guy snap shoved lmao. Old timer called off with QJdd and guy was like please tell me we have the bad beat!! It was impossible though he had tail ends of the straigh flush and didn't even realize lol
MP reg limps, I overlimp MP Ac5x, super tight old timer makes it 12 on my direct left and folds back to reg who calls I think about it and peel too. Three ways to the flop.
Flop (35) KQJcc. Reg checks, I check, old timer checks back.
Turn (35) 6c. Reg leads 11, I make it 35, old timer quickly calls, reg folds.
River (110) 8x. I think and bet 100. Old timer thinks 20 seconds then folds KK face up haha.
Open KcKs utg to 10 8 handed and it folds to SB who flats off 80 total stack and donk lady sitting with 450 flats BB. See flop three ways.
Flop (30) J87dd. SB leads 17, BB flats, I pop it to 81 and SB calls off his stack then donk BB tank calls saying "how much is this going to cost me on the turn and claiming that she's a degenerate"
Turn (270) Ax. Lady checks, I shove last 100 and she calls saying she's a degenerate.
River 10d. Rip. Lady shows J9o for a straight and SB mucks and I muck.
