Wow, where did the time go...this month absolutely breezed by. It is kind of surprising that it has already come and gone, but that's the way she goes. It was definitely an interesting month and in hindsight, I am happy with my overall quality of life. My education is going decently and I was consistent with going to the gym. I'd say I averaged going three times per week and then I'd also play soccer once or twice a week as well. In terms of leaks, I did not eat as healthily as I should have and what can I say, I love boozing with the friends haha.

On the poker front, I continue to run under ev and fail to put in the quantity of volume that I'd like, but the quality is definitely there. Although, I should definitely be playing more volume on the weekends, but instead, I opt for the social life so that has been the ongoing situation.

Additionally, something of note, I dropped DFS for the time being since it was not as profitable as I'd like it to be, considering the amount of time I was dedicating to it. I am definitely profitable and find it really fun, but I'd have to be firing 500-1k per day to make it worth my time imo. Also, I tend to go to the gym anytime between 5-8pm and that was detrimental to my DFS game since you really need to be at the computer up until the games lock. Anyways, I will continue DFS next season with a larger bankroll.

✫ 10$ Hypers ✫

This graph is honestly comical to me and I ran super hot at this stake. I didn't play very many of them, since I just use them for volume fillers, but damn they added up!

✫ 25$ Hypers ✫

These are now my main game and I really need to be putting in more volume. Happy with the quality of my play though.

✫ 50$ Hypers ✫

Initially, I had decided not to play any of these this month and just really focus on building my bankroll further, but I couldn't resist. I definitely believe that I am profitable and winning, but the non-sample size is the story here.

✫ All Hypers ✫

Just an overall graph combining 10s, 25s and 50s for the month. Naturally the graph looks weird since the 50s graph had an impact, but this is how it looks overall.

✫ MTTs ✫

Evidently, I didn't play very many of these since when I joined the gym, I wanted to be able to snap stop my sesh to go lift. Although, I did not run particularly well but same old story of non-sample size and how the number of games that I played equates to practically one MTT sesh. I will say that I do not think this graph is entirely accurate since there appears to be one or two cashes missing, but I do not know how to adjust it.

Overall, it was a positive month in terms of poker and real life balance. I had a midterm and a paper for university that I completed and hopefully did well. In terms of lifting, I was consistent with going and putting in the work. I still feel as though I have my training wheels, but I have been seeing improvement. If anyone is struggling with going to the gym, my best advice is to just get yourself out of the house and to the gym. Even if you don't workout or just do some cardio, the hardest part is honestly just putting yourself in the position to succeed.

Moving forward, I am just going to continue doing what I have been doing and eat even healthier and work harder on my poker game. Happy with how I rebounded in February after a lackluster January!

I didn't play yesterday and then I woke up feeling kind of ill today. With that said, I've been hydrating and then I'm going to have a small meal in preparation for lifting later. So far, I've played an okay sesh consisting of ~45 games and didn't bother checking my results. I don't think that I played my absolute best, but I think it went decently. Stay grinding.

Decided to make a post and sum up my week.

[ ] went to class/did anything university related
[x] hit the gym hard 3 times
[x] played soccer (tomorrow)
[x] ate healthily
[ ] boozed optimally last night (drank like a fish had a 12 pack :/)
[x] played okay poker volume
[ ] checked results

Overall it was an okay week, it flew by pretty quickly and honestly I've been a bit down since I had planned to go on a roady to visit my best friend at his university, but it didn't pan out. That might add to why I went all out last night haha. I will go visit in Spring though, that's going to be a ****show.

Even though I haven't checked my poker results so far this month, I know it's not going very well in terms of running badly. I am playing well and just getting **** on. Anyways, nothing I can do even though I whine more than I should, I personally find it difficult to even speak about poker without whining about results or lack there of.

Just gotta keep plugging.

Before I forget, there is something else I want to mention briefly. I was going to invest in Apple stock last week when it was really low at like 94-95$ but by the time I got my funds transferred to my investor account, Apple was at roughly 100$. Therefore, I didn't end up buying it. I had planned to buy it at 95 and sell at 110-115 for a quick flip. Anyways, lesson learned was that always need to have solid liquidity. It is now sitting at 103 and if it drops down again, I will flip it.

Well, I started the day going something like 0-12 at 25s. Could not win a flip and regs just run well against me. I was not tilted from losing money, but I was like jfc just give me a W. Right then I decided to just play MTTs for the rest of the day. Hours later, we took something down. Feels good to get a W.

Last night was great and had lots of fun at soccer. Scored a stunner and had many chances. Finally feel as though I am getting my swagger back in that sense. However, today was another story. Woke up feeling pretty battered (got a bit roughed up during the match). This resulted in skipping the gym today and I am fine with that as I'll make it up during the rest of the week.

Eventually, I went online and got a pretty horrible University result back and snap emailed the prof. Seriously hoping to get that sorted in one way or another. That poor result snapped my mind into University mode and I sat down and read my chapter for tomorrow's class, which I'll be sure to attend.

On the poker front, I played a small sesh consisting of maybe ~30 games and am still not running accurately. Apart from that, I have yet to check my results on the month and strangely have no interest in doing so.

Was kind of surprised that it was already a week into March and one of my buddies hit me up about St. Patties day. Will possibly be going on a roady with a couple buddies to party at our mutual friend's University.

With that said, even though in life there are swings, there are always things to look forward to and I am truly grateful for that.

It has been a while since my last post. Basically, I have not been playing very much poker, as other aspects of my life have required priority.

I have been consistent with lifting/sports and am eating healthier. This is a lifestyle choice not an intermediate goal for me.

Today, I went to class and had done my prior reading and am doing well in this particular class. As for another course I have, I need to go see my prof. and discuss some results I have received. It has been a week since my email correspondence with him, and that is already too long as is. I hope to get that sorted out in my favour so that I can move onto thinking about future university arrangements.

Apart from that, St. Patricks day is coming up and I may be going on a roady to visit one of my good buddies at his university .

I am happy with the life balance and will continue to work towards my goals in a prioritized manner!

Well today did not start off the way I would have wanted as I was woken up abruptly and only managed to get 4-5 hours of sleep. I was unable to go back to bed, so I just stayed up and watched The Sopranos and messed around. I also put in a trade and bought some Apple stock that I plan to flip.

Eventually, decided that I wanted to play a sesh and fired it up. Honestly, felt like Bradley Cooper in Limitless seeing everything steps ahead of opponents and taking standard as well as unorthodox lines. To put it briefly, played well, ran like pure fire. Booked my best day at hypers ever and I felt it and had to check the graph to see the result for this one!

It was a pretty ****ty day today as I dropped like 4 playing a mix of 25s/50s and **** just wouldn't go my way. Additionally, I don't think I played my best, probably B game at best and too many tables at times. I can clearly remember at least 5 clear mistakes I made today and that's costly.

On a positive note, hit the gym hard today and been eating well all week. Have soccer both days this weekend and will try to hit the gym tomorrow as well.

I've been on a pretty brutal ds these past few days. It's honestly abysmal. Although, I will say I am sort of used to it by now, but it is very frustrating. One fish I had one table against during my sesh absolutely ran like god, and of course they leave once they start to give a little back. I filtered my graph for them to see if I had played them in the past, but turns out the graph is today their perspective vs me. Sums up how things have been going as of late.

Another month has come and gone just like that. It was an interesting month that had many obstacles, but overall, what does not kill you, makes you stronger. The adversity that I faced this past month may have seemed strenuous while it was occurring, but in the grand scheme of life, it was absolutely nothing.

In regards to this update, I will try and keep it short and sweet, since I do not have that much to say. Overall volume was honestly higher than expected, which is nice. Even though my goal is 2k games/month, I am not sure if I have even hit that once this challenge. My university studies/social life/sports and physical activity just take priority a majority of the time.

    ✫ 10$ Hypers ✫

These are strictly volume fillers or games that I play to warm up when I decide to start a sesh.

    ✫ 25$ Hypers ✫

Battled hard when necessary, still have yet to run accurately at this stake.

    ✫ 50$ Hypers ✫

Did not run very well at these and the action was scarce unless I wanted to battle regs, which is what mainly happened. This sample size/graph is absolutely meaningless to me and I am posting it for the sake of the update.

At times it was a very tough month mentally as there were quite a few swings. I think one swing was ~1k or so which was tough of course. For the vast majority of the month, I did not check results at all and I quite enjoyed that. Moving forward, I will try my best implement that strategy. I found that the increase in physical activity really helped take my mind off of it all. I can definitely say I found tranquility in snap shutting down a sesh (good or bad) and just putting on my runners and going outside with my earphones and running. Definitely recommended.

Something that needs to be mentioned is that FTP and Stars are merging tomorrow. Therefore, my future in terms of poker is up in the air for the time being because I was playing on FTP. Before making any comments or plans, I will see how the merger product looks and then I will adapt. Therefore, I may do another thread update consisting of the challenge so far on FTP. I think it would be a nice separation point.

Lastly, I may not even play poker for the entire month of April as I want to finish my semester strongly and have a lot of studying to do. It is tough to sit and grind a sesh out when in the back of my mind I know that I have school work to do and it nags away at me.

    Thanks for reading,

Well I told myself after my monthly update that I would not play poker or drink alcohol until my finals were finished April 22nd and I broke both of those haha. I stayed in Friday night to work on a paper and honestly only worked on it for an hour, but it was the most productive hour of school work I've done in probably a year. After that, I was bored and decided to put in a poker sesh and that went really well. Then on Saturday I had soccer and went to get tacos after (meh 7/10) before working more on my paper. Saturday night I stepped out and just went complete savage drinking with my buddies haha. Woke up on the couch and loaded up a poker sesh today but mainly played MTTs and final tabled one small one for like a hundo, but that was it.

This week I have to go to school Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and hand in a paper on Wednesday in class. So far, I'm about halfway finished, but going to see my prof. tomorrow for input.

Still a lot of work to be done, but I'm optimistic about the future!

Lastly, in regards to the FTP/Stars merge, they have been very unprofessional by not giving an exact date. What was first mentioned to be April 1st, has now turned into sometime before June...Just rolling with the punches.
