Am I tilting or just bad at poker? Am I tilting or just bad at poker?

I've been playing at my local casino. The games are NLH and blinds are $1.50/$1.50. The games are usually pretty easy. Lots of older recreational players with money to throw around, and lots of younger maniac players who drink and start being real loose with their money.

Overall, I believe I've won more than I've lost, but it's also been twice now that I've gotten my bankroll up to $3000 or $4000 (which took months to accomplish) only to tilt it all away in a couple of days.

I see myself as a good, solid player who could be making lots of money if I can just prevent these bad runs from getting out of hand. But all poker players believe they are good players, so maybe I am just deluding myself.

Should I quit poker?

To me, as in random ass person on the net, it sounds like tilt. If you can get it up there consistently before blowing it, that's skill. Losing it in a days or hands, what is it Scotty Ngyuen sez? "That's no limit baby!"

maybe try a stop loss of a couple of buy-ins until your bankroll is bigger, you sound like you are pretty self aware so playing with a bigger bankroll can take the pressure off.

Put in 4000$ from your savings and resume from where you left off. Variance will be on your side this time.

Jk. Quit

How do you manage to 'tilt it all off in a few days' as in $3-4k at $1.50/$1.50? Are you jumping up stakes / going into the pits?
