Had a pretty frustrating day today; in a stretch of 70 games I lost like $1500 EV, $5000 real money, bricked two 25x $100s and two more 10x $100s. On the plus side, I did play ~400 games.

I know I shouldn't focus too much on short-term results, but as I said earlier at one point last night I was down $5000 green line and $1500 in EV. Kept playing a bit, knocked both those numbers down (to -$3000/-$800) by the time I went to bed and got back on the grind today. Finished at -$800 green, and +$1000 EV. Somehow that feels like a win.

Thanks guys, I like it but my GF is a bit miffed because the place wasn't cleaned well before we moved in. She's probably spent 4-5 hours just wiping things down, cleaning the sink, mopping the floors, and doing other stuff that should have been done before us.

She and I went to the Richmond Night market a few days ago and while we were stuffing our faces with street food, she mentioned she needed some new socks. Ask and ye shall receive.

Won't be in Vegas for the Main, had originally planned to grind some of the lower events/satelites and set up there for a month but I've neglegected the online grind for too long and finally am back in a solid groove. Plus I *just* got to Vancouver and need to stay out of the US to properly handle the stable's reloads/etc.

Clearly this didn't happen. GF got home from work on Tuesday night and we went to her friend's place for a BBQ/house party. Had a pretty good time, one of the more interesting parts was when we bought LIVE spot prawns from the Asian supermarket. I'm a big meat eater but seeing these animals writhe about in the paper bag and slowly suffocate to death made me feel uneasy. First time in my life I questioned whether I should be eating meat or not. Didn't particularly enjoy the spot prawns, so maybe I'll only give them up.

Anyways, by the time I got home I was exhausted and went to sleep without bumping the thread. So here I am to provide that belated update.

Since I took off the first, today marks the end of my first week back on the Vancouver grind. Good news is I'm going to completely obliterate one of the freerolls -- I've played ~1400 games already this month, well ahead of the pace I need for 3500. Going to shoot for 5,000 now. Shouldn't be too hard, it's "only" 200 games day which should take me 6-7 hours.
