OK, so basically I'm gonna be playing 200NL in 30 days. I've always been a 16-24 tabling HUDbot at full ring for as long as I can remember (prob over 300-400K hands at 50NL) and I've never been able to win at anything over 1BB/100. I cashed out a decent amount of my BR and now I'm gonna try to change my nitty ways and play 6-max.

So what I decided to do is cut down the tables to 4-6 (maybeee 8 tables), start playing 6-max, and try to use some aggressive bankroll management to see if I can get to 200NL by July 18th. My bankroll right now is $681 so I might have to move down to 25NL if I run bad. I'm planning on taking shots at 100NL once I get to around $1500.

I'll probably be posting updates daily or every other day. Here's a screenshot of my starting balance:

OK, off I go to play my first session. Hope I don't run bad.

gl but your gonna die b/c of boredom. i play 8 tables, and can never go back to 4 tabling. 24 to 8 is gonna seem like your playing live imo

Good luck! Will check in on your progress.

If i were you i would stick to 2-4 tables. When your in the process of moving up in stakes you don't want to focus on maximizing your profits with increasing the number of tables. Getting comfortable at the stakes and spending time taking notes, watching how people play the hands differently then the others stakes you have played and focusing on making +EV decisions is much more important then making money at first.

Edit: I see now that you haven't been playing SH before? if so, i would spend a great deal of time 2tabling and getting used to it. Do some sweatsessions with some 6max player or get a coach if you can afford that.

6 max is a whole different ball game and hes right. you will really need to have more reads on opps so its best u dont get to crazy.

Boredom is why I usually would go back to mass-tabling FR the rare times I've decided to try to play 6-max, but I'm really gonna focus on table selecting and taking good notes so that should keep me busy lol.

I've played SH before, but probably only like 30-70K hands lifetime? I gotta get used to the higher aggression and build my BR up a little before I add more tables I think.

Coaching is a good idea, I might get some when I get up to 100NL since that's the highest level I've played at without being on tilt lol (only played like 10-15K hands then I hit a downswing + played bad and had to move down).

I ran pretty good today, up ~6 BI's, running ~1 BI under EV. Probably done for the day.

You can def do this if you put the time in and go a little more conservative with your BR. I wouldn't take a shot at NL100 until 3K.

man full ring and 6 max are very different, for me it looks unreal to switch and beat two limits in a month unless you are mega disciplined and play 6 hours + per day. good luck

I'm gonna take a small shot at 100NL, if my BR falls below $1000 I'm gonna drop back down to 50NL.

I also got a $500 deposit bonus at RPM poker to clear so technically my BR is about $1590.

The 100NL shot went decent, I won a little over a BI. I decided to move back to 50NL though and played a 2700 hand session and won about 1/2 a BI.

About to fire up some tables and play the 1st session of the day. Here's a graph of my progress so far.
