I'm a black friday refugee. I played micros online, where I made three $20 deposits. Played 2nl while I read the forums, books, and watched every episode of HSP and The Big Game. I did do a few sweat sessions back in the day, as well.

I eventually moved all the way up to 25nl in march/april. Had my roll around 1200 when I switched 1k of it over to stars b/c FTP wouldn't process my one cash out for 200. At stars I decided to shot take at 50nlhu where I lost six buyins running poorly in April 11 and 12. They transferred me the 700 after bf, which I quickly lost 200 of on merge over the summer. Come September, I'm back to school in Boston, and am playing .25/.50 in the dorms. I made about 2k last semester from that game, but I spent a lot on living/balling expenses. Needless to say, winning 40+ buy ins at live poker without a dealer took many hours, and caused me to sleep through many classes and overall be a ****ty student. This semester I plan to move up stakes to a 1/2 underground game, playing once a week there and once a week the game on campus. This will allow more time for me to focus on school and getting to bed at a reasonable hour in school nights. So far my two sessions at the underground game have been +1.1k each, so my liferoll is currently 3.4k. I hope to update this thread with both poker and non-poker progress and musings.

Played .25/.50 in my dorm. Was stuck for a while, but ended up about $200. The game plays pretty deep. The bad news? I was up till 3 and slept through class. Not good. I plan on spending extra time in the library today to make up for that.

I had planned to leave the game around midnight, but this ultra mega spewfish tripled up right before I was about to leave ands was sitting on 400bb. Was pissed when this happened because I knew I had to stay. I really can't let this semester slip away like the last.

Played 1/2 last night and ran horribly/misplayed one big hand. Got KK in pre vs a8 and ak and lost a 900 pot. Got second set in 3 ways vs 2 pair and a flush draw on the turn for a 700 pot, he binks it.

played the underground 1/2 NL game for about 6 hours, +$490. Ran pretty well, had AA twice and won big pots both times. Game was quite fishy until about 2am when all the fish either busted or were up a lot and cashed out. I think I need to control myslef and leave when the game isn't great, even though I have an edge on every player there, I am under-rolled, especially when it gets deep, which it inevitably does.
