So basically i need 3k for summer to go on holiday / pay rent ~ I'm a student so poker is going to be my only chance of earning enough money in the next month.

I play mainly HU any ideas where to start on this challenge / how many buyins should i use because if i busto no summer holiday

With a $300 starting BR, I would recommend at least 40 BI's for heads-up cash games (though you could get by with 30). For SnG's, I would actually personally say about the same.

Sadly, HU is about the highest variance NL Hold'em game there is, so you have to account for that.

I would personally recommend playing 6-max if you're familiar/comfortable playing it. 4-table 10NL playing standard TAG until you're around $700 then move up to 25NL and adjust accordingly.

While i agree with what you're saying Jimmus i don't think 30 is required for 50nlhu- there are so many donators there that you could comfortably play at 1k provided you were willing to drop down to 25 6 max if you went to say 750

If you wanna make 3k in a month(assuming you beat the levels which is a big MAYBE):

200nl easy
100nl definitely possible
50nl maybe if you crush HU or bumhunt well and play alot

none of which do you have the bankroll for. so you have to evaluate how bad is bustoing your roll or not making the full amount?
