From the graph below, you can see I'm not getting much volume in at all. But I'm just working on my game rather than volume at the minute. Still at 10NL & 25NL.

Promise I'll update you poker pals with a bigger update in a bit. Thanks all for reading my thread.

Hi poker pals -- took a brief hiatus, needed to re-evaluate my maniac style of game play.

The dream lives on. One day. 2kNL will be in my reach.... ONE DAY.

Hi thanks for the replies guys -- yesterday was a good day -- all my hands held up, I played well without tilt, made correct calls and correct bluffs. Doubt I'll have as good a day as yesterday in a long time.

Yesterday:

And below is graph of new database (must be the 10th time i've wiped my data and started a fresh, lets hope this time is the last...)

And break down of days since I fired up HEM2 again:

As for an update on my playing style... well, I've stopped playing so loose, I've stopped trying to win every pot and I've got a lot nittier with regards to position. --Oh and I binned my HUD because all the obscure stats I used to make incorrect reads with were pointless without a huge sample, so my HUD stats only include VPIP/PFR and #hands. That's it.

Will post another update later. --Will ask Stars to unblock 5NL if I win another couple buyins of 2NL.

Don't worry the maniac tilt beast is still here.

It was a losing day yesterday. I don't blame bad luck, I blame bad play. I'm pretty good at tilting, I give myself that.

My favourite tilt move is to flop 2 pair. Two low pairs with an Ace on the flop... I know they have an ace. Get them to donk call a pot sized bet on the flop... And when the board pairs and counterfeits my two pair - I just love shoving all in and donating the rest of my stack to Ace rag. - I love it when that happens.

Then when I'm in tilt frenzy, I love shoving over a 4bet when I know their range is AA-QQ when I have A-rag... I love tilt. I love it. Anyway, today is a winning day. Still need 5 more 2NL buyins before I can unban 5NL. I'm not really looking forward to 5NL. I think it's going to be a huge tilt fest. Stay tuned.

Hi there to anyone who has been reading this train wreck of a thread. I promise I have got better over the years

Todays graph:

Got doom switched at the 5k hand mark and got 3 coolers in a row.

Funniest hand of the session:

    Final Board: 8 T 6 3 9
BB mucked Q K and lost (-$0.34 net)
    Hero showed Q J and won $0.67 ($0.33 net)

(My preflop 16bet must have scared him so he just ended up calling. Reason I bet 2c on the river was because I was hoping he would get into another raising war...but alas, he just called...)

I'm still a few buyins off taking a shot at 5NL due to the tilt monster still inside me and spewing buyins a few days ago. But when I'm on form, I can play a disciplined game. It's just a matter of playing a disciplined game *every* game....

        I'm a tilt beast.

Generally when on tilt, I call when I know I'm beat. Then I tilt more. And then I throw away 6 buy-ins on tilt, then after I've blown 6 buy-ins, I recompose myself and play properly again. That's normally how it goes. So I'm working on my discipline to stamp these bad habits out before I move up.

The way I see it is, I'll play one million hands at 2NL until I feel comfortable enough that I can minimise my tilt losses. 2NL is a great place to learn how to deal with the psychological aspects of the game without costing you too much money.

But yeah, my win rate for 80k hands at 2NL is 2bb/100 which I agree sucks, but at least it's in the positive.
