If I recall correctly you rose from (2014?) Nl50 to HS like in a year?! That was solely watching training vids? That truly is quite impressive if so. What kind of off the table work you do nowadays? Are you keen on HUD? How many tables at once? And if you dont mind sharing EVbb and nonSD winrate for a big sample.

Re: 2016 PCG - MSNL and HSNL

February ended up being a great month. I am a little disappointed with my volume, but obviously very happy with the results.
I also thought I played better than last month, and had less stress.

Next month's main goals are to do lots of off the table work, and play at least 70k hands.
I will go back to Malta on wednesday. The weather will soon get better, so good timing to have some fun.
I also want to keep going to the gym, next to Muay Thai training. it's is not fun, but I want to keep going.

I forgot to mention that I do go through my opponents' hands sometimes.
My roommate has taught me a lot about poker theory since moving to Malta, and I've turned into a bit more of a GTO player than an exploitative player.
But other than that, only videos.

Re: 2016 PCG - MSNL and HSNL

Last two days have been awesome. Won 18.5k today and 7k the day before.
I've tweeked a couple of things in my game and they seem to be paying off a lot.

Tomorrow morning will be another hard session and then it's time to relax and have a party at our house.
Workouts have been consistent but I just can't stay away from the ****ing chocolate!

Does anyone know a program which lets you open raise multiple sizings? I can only set Tableninja to one size.

Shoutout to the one and only Teunuss. I almost felt bad for stacking him every other hand today. But not really, since he's up in flips against me.

Re: 2016 PCG - MSNL and HSNL

The past three days have been insane. The first one was great, as I had another big winning day and we had a nice party in the evening.
More high stakes action on the other two days, and I am exhausted from playing a couple of 6-hour sessions.
After a break even day two, I lost pretty big today, also thanks to playing badly.

Tomorrow will probably be another day with lots of action, so I won't take a break yet.

Fastplay and win

$50/$100 Ante $20 No Limit Holdem
PokerStars
6 Players

Stacks:
UTG Hero ($11,035.68) 110bb

Pre-Flop: (270, 6 players) Hero is UTG 9 A
Hero raises to $256, 1 fold, CO raises to $609, 3 folds, Hero calls $353
Flop: 9 3 9 ($1,488, 2 players)

Hero checks, CO bets $800, Hero calls $800

Hero wins $22,296.36 (net +$11,260.68)

Horrible play in retrospect, I should easily fold this. In-game, I thought that UTG would fold a lot or call AK, and occasionally be slowplaying a better hand. But BTN is only jamming AK or better here, so this is just bad.

I studied by watching videos on Runitonce, and discussing hand histories.
Poker books are usually a waste of time, unless you are reading The Mathematics of Poker or a theoretical book.
And thanks.

Re: 2016 PCG - MSNL and HSNL

Today was another exhausting day, full of high stakes action.
I ended up playing for 8 hours and I need a break, but I won't take one if the action stays like this.

Huge winning day today, and I am already up 50k this month, so I am obviously stoked about that.
I'll hopefully have some time to go to the gym tomorrow and maybe go out in the evening.

There are a lot of people reading the blog but not posting. Stop being lazy and post something.

I started at 50NL.
Definitely considered learning HU but it is a lot of work and not a ton of action, especially with the recent changes. I sometimes hop into the zoom pool when a fish joins and not all the regs are in yet.
I also play some FL and occasionally I spew off some money at 200 PLO.

if you insist...

can you show results by stake on the way to the top after restarting? i'm assuming you must have absolutely destroyed the levels
