Day 18: http://imgur.com/a/M1wGZ

I need to change up my schedule so I have more quiet grind time. By the end of the 2k hands I was misreading the board because I was so tired. I'm going to try starting my day a little earlier. As for the studying, I'm looking at an interesting spot in Pokerjuice right now that I think will really help me.

Day 19: http://imgur.com/a/j2o1w

Made it to 3k hands and went over some spots in pokerjuice. I woke up early today so it wasn't too difficult to play 3k hands. As long as I keep getting up early I hopefully should be able to keep playing a lot before I get tired.

The thread is a little boring so I thought I would start posting fun HHs.

I didn't notice the board was paired so I thought I had the nuts. When we showed down and I saw JJ I thought he was doing the straight blocker bluff. I figured I had won the pot and was super confused when the money went over to him. I felt like an Idiot, maybe I should start reading the board more carefully.

Ran over EV which is nice. On the weekend I don't know if I can really put in 3k hands on saturdays because my girlfriend doesn't have work and wants to hang out. I didn't study with pokerjuice today but I did watch a RIO vid so that is something.

11 Buy in pot I won. The flop was pretty close, but whatever.

After winning 4 buyins at 25 I had about 2500 so I decided to take another 10 buyin shot at 50. I lost 4 buy ins there, so I still have 6 to go. I did go over some interesting spots in PKJ and watch a nice phil galfond video.

I did check the flop with quads and let somebody backdoor quad over quad me though.

Maybe some day I'll win money at 50 but today was not that day. Back to 25, Maybe next time I get up to 2500 I'll buy some coaching with my 500 instead of donating it to the 50 pool.

Day ended up whatever. I was having some lag and d.c issues with stars but my internet still seemed fine, I'm not sure what is going on. I also applied for a stake today so we will see how that goes. I think that although I'm giving up some short term EV by getting staked, it will make me a better and more profitable player in the long run. We will see if they accept me and what the future brings.

I haven't played too much, I've been a little distracted but I'm back on the grind for day 26.

Also it turns out that staking is a **** deal so that probably won't happen now or any time in the future. All that's left for me is to just keep grinding away and hope that the next shot at 50 sticks.

EMBEDDED IMAGES, WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE

        Day 27:

        Overall results so far:
        By Stakes:

Okay, so I'm like 1k below ev and had 2 failed shots at 50. Results wise the past 27 days didn't go that great. Looking back at my goals, I think that 3k hands is probably a little too much for me to do consistently right now, I am usually starting to run out of focus around 2k hands. I think a revised daily goal of 2.1k hands is a good start and I can start to slowly build up my endurance from there.

As far as studying goes, I did work with pokerjuice almost every day of the challenge. I think that has helped me get better and it's something that I want to continue to do. Although I need to remember to mark hands because sometimes I forget while I'm playing and it's annoying to have to go back and find them

I'll just have to keep grinding. Alright, see you guys tomorrow

        Day 28:

I reached my hand goal but it was a little too easy. I want to push myself but still have realistic goals. I think I'll make 2,222 hands the new goal because it's more hands and it's a fun number.

I went over a few spots in PKJ and watched a RIO video so studying went pretty well too.

        Day 29:

Uh oh, my profit line isn't cooperating too well with my ev line. I played pretty well today, I feel like my game continues to get better. 2222 hands was a good goal because about 100 hands from the end I felt like I was getting burned out so It was good to have to focus and make the finish line. Hopefully things turn around soon.

I think today I'll go for 4 sessions of 600 hands for 2400 total.

        Update from the dead.

I never did make it to 10k. This is my final graph on pokerstars before I left Australia.

I made about 8k in rakeback so finished around +4k. I ended up being saved by a player who coached me and put me in a very soft game whenever it ran where I won about 5k. So overall I netted 9k and luckily my girlfriend decided not to leave me

After our New Zealand trip I spent 6 months in Vancouver studying and grinding on stars. I made just enough to live reasonably. My visa expired and I am now back in the US. As of now I am taking shots at plo 1k and am no longer broke.

        Last 100k hands:

Still running under EV, but what can you do?

        Bye forever,
