I also don't like white girls but I think compared to the rest of asia Thai girls tend to look more like monkey/gorilla. (Talking about the face mostly)
First month i think i spent around 1.5k euros.
That is however including overpaying for everything, buying a tv & bunch of other stuff etc.
I reckon from now on it'll be way under 1k$ as long as i focus on poker.
Actually no, I much prefer grinding at my desk.
However my hotel's desk was wayhigher then the attached chair, and I simply dont have a chair yet in my new place. Will go out and get one this weekend so I can do my sundaygrind in a normal position.
Currently not using a monitor, like it since it keeps me from ever playing 12+ tables, however I might go out and get one since it makes life easier.
So I've decided to make a pretty big change, and today I've officialy joined a stable.
Now I know that especially the people who know me might see this as an odd decision given how it went with husng's/spins, however it's quite different this time around.
First of all my old stable had around 150 players, the group I'm currently in has 6. (there are groups for higher/lower stakes afaik, but when playing spins I was in a group with 60 players).
Besides that the coaches are HS cash & mtt players, so there's a lot of room for me to move up.
At the start, I'll be playing up to 11r's & 33fo's, which is roughly the same as I did up to now, with the difference that when I sell % I'm still risking my own roll. This means when I run bad while selling % I'm forced to move down, whereas now my limits will depend on how I'm playing (chipev etc.).
Also I get plenty of coaching/mentoring, which is definitely something that could benefit me greatly since I'm at the 'start' of my mtt-career.
I won't go into further details about the deal itself so asking is useless, my goal of winning 100k$ and beating the highest stakes this year still stands.
I'll also keep updating on the same regular basis, however I will ofcourse not have my own 'bankroll' in there.
I joined apex staking.
As for stables, ideally I'd grind the highest stakes with my own bankroll. However variance in mtt's is massive & I still have plenty to learn. So as long as i dont have a 100-200k roll I think this is the best route.
I'm still wondering, what is the deal with playing higher levels if you have to cut down variance by selling action? Do you get to keep the rakeback or something making your whole session a bit more +EV by having a better VIP level or is it for the better learning experience vs Midstake+ regs?
Wedding was suprisingly fun actually. Ended up just eating some great thai food & then drinking some kind of whiskey with thai people who barely spome any english for the rest of the evening, was good banter for sure.
As for the guy, he was 18 (and thai). They had a baby last year and I was told that it reflects quite poorly on the girl to have a child while not being married since pre-marital sex is still a taboo in thai culture.
