March recap
After downswinging the first two months I went into march being a little pessimistic, I still have to get used to downswings as this was only my 2nd real downswing since I started playing mtt's fulltime. However that pessimism quickly faded after some quick results early in the month.
Having spent a lot of time studying in february, this month was more about putting in a lot of hours. This went really well for me, early on in the month I decided to stick to 6-tabling and see how that works out for me now that I'm adding higher games. Since there isn't that many games running in my timezone anyway, I felt like dropping the worst games and instead being more focused & keeping that focus for longer sessions might be the best route to go (+ the grind is more enjoyable that way). My volume turned out to be great, I ended up playing a little over 1k games this month, despite missing nearly a whole week because of the pup getting sick & having to go to the hospital. I even got Supernova for the first time
As for results, I got my first 5 figure month of the year when I add in the 1k$ Im up on a non-tracked site:
So for my $ goal before june I'm now at 46,756$/100,000$
As for my progress on my yearly goals:
[ ] Play 12.000 games
2700/12000
[ ] Have an average ROI of 33%+
10%
[ ] Have an 8+ evBB total for the year, regardless the stakes I play
7.04/8
[ ] Read 25 books minimum
3/25, and about halfway through 3 others
As for my gym goals, it's been really on and off with life and grinds getting in the way. I've gone to the gym about 8 to 10 times this month, which is a little under the 3x per week but at least there's some consistency.
April Goals
The Winamax series are starting tomorrow so I'll be trying to capitalize on my recent rungood and play peak-times for a week. Meaning I'll start my sessions sometime between 6-9PM and reg regspeeds until around 2am or so. After that I'll be taking a couple of days off for the Thai new year. When that's over I'll be grinding regular times again until Scoop kicks off.
I'll just see where the grind takes me, I'll be looking to play 1k+ games again & stick to 6-tabling as much as possible.
Pics
Not much to share really since I haven't been on any trips since I got back, so I'll close with some dogpics.
It turned out she was infected with parvo, a deadly Virus, and so she had to be hooked up to an IV for 5 days straight (Guess that's the risk that comes with buying a cheap pup in Thailand
). My gf took a week off of work to stay with the pup all week from 8am-8pm, I spent a large part of the week there as well which is why I only got in 2 small sessions that week.
Anyways, she turned out well and has fully recovered by now, thankfully veterinary hospital costs are next to nothing in Thailand.
