Thanks for the tips!

Definitely feel like lower variance games could work wonders, as for table count, already been playing 6-8 tables at all times this scoop

Ah cool, disregard my table count comment then. Variance can be a bitch

What's your Abi?, unless it's like $10 and your bb/100 is 1 there is nothing to worry about

Variance is ridiculous high, just keep putting in work and try not to sweat results to much. I know easier said than done.

Keep going with the same stakes! Variance will turn. Positive mental attitude.

How is your life roll in terms of living expenses in the bank? Do you get to cashout in makeup for living expenses also?

My abi is 20$ and my overall evbb is around 6. I'd like to see it a bit higher but considering I've been running like **** and improved a lot lately, I'm fine with it. I'll definitely just keep going and see where variance takes me, thanks!

Yea definitely don't want to move down since that'd be quite demoralizing + it'd increase the makeup in terms of bi's. Then again there hasn't been any talk of this, I've added some 44's to my schedule so no worried there.

In terms of a life roll, I should be able to provide for myself until the end of the year. It might be shortened a little bit because of the costs that come with moving to samui & I'm going to the Netherlands for 2 weeks next month.
Not in any dangerzone yet but yea it's definitely in the back of my mind soemtimes what I should do if this run continues for another 3 months or so

And nope I don't have any salary or cashouts while in makeup.

A winning sunday o_O

Yep it's forrealz, I didn't brick everything on sunday for the first time in.. months?

Basically had 2 deep runs, a 15th place in the B16.50 (was 1/26 with big chiplead, horrible run after that), and then shipped a 22$ deepstack on 888 for 730$. Feels really good to crush a tournament again, played it really well besides one big mistake hu & it all went my way. Doesn't do a lot for clearing my make-up, but a great confidence builder for sure.

Overall for the day, despite running like 1k bbs under ev (just my guess), I'm up 200$ over 46 games at a 21$ abi.
Played for about 12 hours (still 1-tabling #29 atm), 6-8 tabling at all times and 10-tabling for an hour around peak. Focus was pretty good and played my A-game for the most part, good start of the weak for sure.

Nothing interesting to tell this week, been losing a bit, had some deep runs in decent mtt's but they bricked again. Been playing pretty decent however so it's alright.

For the next couple of days, not much interesting for me as far as scoop goes, so I'll do day/evening grinds (Starting around noon up until 10-12pm or so, depending on how it goes).

My gf has some days off at the start of next week, so instead of going to Samui the week after scoop we'll go this weekend. I'll still grind sunday since I've got a scoop day 2, plus I don't want to miss out on volume, so I'll just bring my stuff. Flying back tuesday afternoon, assuming I can grind that evening I really won't be missing any volume if I just grind the rest of the week.

Also had to ask for another reload today, which really sucks since my makeup is just getting really big. Not much I can do about it besides grinding and studying tho, just somewhat hurts to realise that I still won't get a profit cut if I f.e. bink a B44. We'll get through it

Thanks guys

So this post might sound a bit whiny, but whatever.

Started at 9 today, played super focused and well, got 4 deep runs. 8th in a 22$ on party, 10th in a 22$ on party, and 30ish in a hyper & 44BB.

But then the real fun began
Hot 16.50 - 13th
Hot 22 - 10th
Hot 27 - 10th

So at this point I was laughing and whining about how I ft bubbled the 3 biggest hots I played. Towards the end of my session I regged the 22$ mini thrill despite it being a long one.
Ended up 1-tabling it for the past 5 hours, to ubst 10TH. Yes 10th. Even ended up having a losing day (-50$).

All whining aside, played 46 games which is really sweet for a day-grind. Learned a bit about game-selection as well (don't start a deepstacked major at the end of your session).
Feel like I played the latter quite bad at the f2t's, got some pre-flop spots where I might've made too nitty folds, so I'll review them tomorrow. Honestly I let being drained from playing 18 hours and my downswing get the best of me there. 'If I jam he'll probably snap me off with aces and I'll bust deep again' is not a good reason to fold. Happy with the way I played the other games however.

Will see how I feel about playing tomorrow, it's a Thai holiday and at the moment I really don't want to think about poker. Have a session with my coach in the evening however which I'm looking forward to since I want some more leaks pointed out.

Sorry for the whine, GL in the final days of scoop y'all

So sunday I played the last day of scoop. Nothing special, got a deep run in the H22 but bricked & came in 10th () in the fiesta on 888.

Yesterday I came back from Samui and played a short session, bricked everything.

As for today, pretty awful start. Got up and was buzzing to play, noticed my phone hadn't charged at all since I put the charger in a couple hours earlier. Then I noticed it was smoking hot and realised there was a power outage, great. About 20 minutes later my phone died as well (Haven't managed to turn it back on ever since, seems like I'm gonna have to get it fixed).
Ended up just going to the arcade for a couple hours and when I came back luckily everything was back to normal. Played a session from 3pm-1am, played well but bricked basically everything.

About Samui, not entirely sure yet about moving (or when). Visited a bunch of places but they were all a bit disappointing. Also despite liking the island-feeling, living in a big city also has a lot of advantages. Lastly it might be a bit harder for my gf to find a new job there, she designs jewelry right now and I don't want to force her to go from that to working in a hotel, which seems to be the majority of jobs around there.
Will have a look at places in Bangkok as well, definitely want an upgrade from my current place (bigger apt, pool+gym attached), just not sure where yet. There's no rush tho.
Had a pretty good time overall on Samui tho, will post some pics once I get my phone to work again.

Lastly, decided to go home to the Netherlands for 2 weeks in June. Will stay at my parents house and still grind some decent volume, but besides that just spend some time with family & friends. Besides that I'll also be playing a live tournament, definitely been missing that.

My cursed apartment and I

Really this place is starting to make me superstitious.

So after my phone breakdown yesterday, today BOTH my shavers stopped working.
Then I got grinding, shipped the 16.5T on stars for 650$ which was sweet. However then every mtt players worst nightmare happened:

First I got a poweroutage, lasted a couple minutes so I hopped on my backup laptop, guess what. It stopped working.
So I had to wait for the power to come back, took a couple more minutes but I could finally start my laptop back up. I login, connect to the internet aaaaaanddd it's gone. The network this time, our apartment has like 5 different networks and I couldn't connect to any of them even tho they all had 5 bars.
So I spent a while desperately trying to get on an internet connection when I accepted that it was a hopeless cause. Decided to pick up a book, yea, an actual book. And read it to get my mind off of being blinded out everywhere.
Didn't expected it but suprisingly enough reading a book is quite relaxing, might try it more often.

For the next 2 hours I read a bit and tried to log back in but no succes, finally my gf came home and I used the hotspot on her phone. Ofcourse I was blinded out everywhere already, so it was of no use.
Had somewhere between 100-150$ in games running which is a shame, luckily no deep runs or so.

Then we headed to the mall and bought a portable Wifi thingy for 60$. It worked perfectly in the store and in the taxi on the way home. So once home I fired up my laptop and tried connecting to the wifi, but, obviously, it stopped working.
Tried putting it in the charger etc. but no success there either.

So quite tilted right now since I'll have to go find a solution to all this tomorrow, no way I'm grinding again without at least 1 backup connection.

Honestly I don't understand how so many electronic devices can die in such a short amount of time, I guess the ghost is real.

That's rough. I suggest you pull the trigger on that move sooner rather than later, and make a stable connection and power grid your nr 1 priority when choosing a place.

Yea agreed, heading to the netherlands in less than 2 weeks (looking forward to 2 weeks of perfect internet ) so no point in moving before then. However once I come back I want to move right away. Once my phone gets fixed I'll also have 2 backups at all times, probably worth it buying a powerbank as well.

Found a place opposite of the biggest mall around here that seems to tick all the boxes (modern, pool, fitness, good location), will head there on saturday to see if it also fits my budget.

Not sure your budget, but A Space Asoke and ticks all your boxes including a 7/11 right in the complex... they were planning to add a gym on site, though I can't confirm they did. But it's around the corner from Rama 9/Asoke, literally a 5 minute walk and there is at least one gym in there. It was like 8000 baht/month for a big studio... nice and modern inside furnishings and in my time there I experienced only 2 brown outs in 2 years and very stable internet with two guys (we had a 2 bdrm obv)on it playing MTTs.

Anyway, don't know your budget, but if that fits it, it's a great location.

Thanks for the tip! That sounds pretty great, would rather have a 1br but I assume they have those as well? I'll have a look this weekend.
8000 Is more than fine for my budget as well, if there's one thing I've learned here it's that accommodation is by far the most important factor for someone who sits in his room 50+h/week (duh). Would gladly pay 15-20k for a great location.

Is this near central lad prao? If so beware of the gridlock traffic around there and they are also starting major road construction for MRT expansion.
But by far the best grocery store in the area.

Oh OK, if your budget is higher than that... our 2 bedroom in Aspace was only 17k; the 1 bedrooms I believe fell in the 12-14k range. But yah, definitely have a look. Happy hunting!

Yea it's the black one right across the street. Was already wondering how bad the noise/air would be since it's right next to the road. The pool for example looks pretty sweet, however it's right next to the cars which is really the only but big downside. Being right next to a big mall/grocery store/arcade/cinema etc. is really sweet tho. I guess being on a high floor would also make up for this?
Also I'd rather be around ladprao than around sukhumvit etc.

And lol the firecracker thing sounds good

So the week is done, was planning to play on saturday but since I'm checking out the new warcraft movie/go looking for an apartment/get my phone fixed I figured it's best to skip saturday and focus on a big sunday grind.

Been a boring week results wise, lost 100$ overall over 100 games. BB/100 seems to be improving (11 for the week) albeit a small sample, let's see if I can keep it up over the next couple of weeks.
Ended up playing 7 hours (30 games) today, since I got my backup internet to work. Didn't end up needing it as my apartment wi-fi seemed fine as long as I only played poker. Not being able to browse is probably just a good thing for my game anyway.

Would like to post some pics/graphs but browsing is painfully slow and my phone is still dead so that'll have to wait, not having a phone doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would :P
