Breakeven Sunday

Woo finally a sunday where I didn't get raped. On top the revolution I ft'd a 12t for 250$ on 888 which made for a daysaver. Also got deep in the contender on party and this spot came up with 40players left:



Can never get away from that since he really doesn't rep anything. Busted next hand JT<J9 so no make-up saver for me today.

Didn't manage to get around to meditate since my alarm didn't go off, luckily my gf woke up at midnight thanks to her watch always beeping at that time.

Off to bed now & grinding + coaching tomorrow, right after the coaching my first HU game at 3am.

Soo today I dropped roughly 200$ in mtt's.
Ran deep (14th) in a 33$ Fo on stars but bricked trips vs fh, also f3t in a 27psko where I busted with set over set.

On the bright side I shipped my first husng on winamax so I'm now the emperor #baller



Means cancelling my plans for going out tomorrow but that's a luxury problem I guess.

Once again didn't get around to meditating, slept pretty bad since I think I'm coming up with a stomach flu, feel pretty sh*t all day so I'm off to get some much needed sleep after the groupcoaching.

Frustrating session last night.
Started off really well, i meditated again and I got reminded of how good it feels. Great to completely relax and it really made me more focused than ever this year. I did notice it was harder then before I quit doing it, being a lot more distracted etc. So i'll need some time to get back into it.
So the first 1.5h went very well, had no problem 10-tabling whatsoever and played my absolute A-game.

However, I was grinding from my phones hotspot which then randomly turned off. I ran over to my bed where my phone was charging just to literally burn my hand when I touched it.
It was so hot I couldn't use it, so I was forced to grind on the apt wifi. Now every floor has its own server, but the one on my floor only seems to work 2/3 days per week, this wasn't one of them. So I was forced to use the one
on the floor below which is nearly out of range so it worked very poorly.
Haven't had any connection problems for a while now, so I got very frustrated about the frequent dc's and distracted by it all, so my ev literally went straight down for the next 30 minutes, from +15 to -2, playing bad and running bad.

I then got my phone to work again in the break and internet-wise it went on smoothly from that point, had a couple tables left but nothing went my way, best run was 60th in a 22 psko (AK<AQ<AT & AT<KQo).
Also lost my 2nd hu, couldnt really do much since his godrun was on for the whole duration of the game.

Dropped 250ish, ev was -4 overall. The meditation definitely gives a good prospect for the future however, and I'll be using my gf's phone as a backup from now on.

I should add that sleeping has been a bit of a pain in the ass thus far, I keep on waking up between 10-11 feeling really awake after 5/6 hours of sleep. Then around 3pm i get tired again and manage to finish my sleep. Not sure whether I should try and sleep more right away or just get some food, do some study/relaxing and sleep more once I get tired again.

Plenty of deep runs these last 2 days. Bricked all the deep runs yesterday but at least all the cashes saved my day a bit, down 300ish.

Today went a bit better and I busted 8th in the 27$ 6m psko with 1.5k+bounties on top, which is meh. However made up for it by just shipping a 4$ rebuy for 600$ (after a 2h headsup the guy got dc'd and I blinded him down in 3 minutes, woops).
So up like 450$ today, feels good .

Meditating has been treating me great, and I have to keep forcing myself to do it. For example today I definitely wasn't in a good state of mind to grind at 6 after waking up at 5, but felt way more focused after meditating and actually felt like I played really well. These last 3 days I've been playing really well, multi-tabling has been way easier than before and I've had way less distractions.
Still having a bit of a hard time with the meditating itself, too restless. I'll keep doing It and I'm sure I'll improve over time.

Taking Saturday off as planned and then on sunday I'll grind again. Will be spending most study time on improving my mental game next week.

subbed. You are currently getting staked right? Do you have a life roll (for living expenses, travel etc)? Just wondering how you afforded to move to Thailand and are able to live. I know the cost of living is really low in Thailand.

Yea I'm staked indeed. I have a life-roll which mainly exists of the remainders of last years profits, plus the profits from this years pre-stable winnings ofcourse.

I afforded it basically by hotrunning 15k in october/november

Not thinking about poker at all has become a very hard task for this saturday, given the new super exciting changes to the mtt schedule.
Lately I've been moving away my action as much as possible from ps, meaning I frequently only played 30-40% on there.
However what happened now is they made my morning schedule a LOT better, so much better that it might have a higher ev for me than playing at night, all things considered

Now I've set up a schedule for the sake of not changing my schedule every other week, and now ps has to come and change it again, thanks a lot guys. I will however stick to the current schedule since the upcoming series will force me to play at night as well.
I'll check out the morning-schedule once this week tho, I feel that starting at 7am could potentially be really sick with still a 22bb and B33 starting at 12, hell, even at 3pm there's a B22 now.

Schedule changes are indeed awesome for you. Do you use an app or anything for meditating?

Yea I use headspace.com, love it because it starts out with 10 minute sessions and later you can get longer ones, plus it really guides you through it step by step at firdt

Just came in 17th in the 11$ phase , 15k on top. Bit of a letdown but was nice to have a nice run again & played very well today.

Overall down 60$, not really any other run besides a 50th place in the swordfish. Evbb was at 8 over 27 games, so finally a decent sunday ev-wise.
Even tho I found it really hard to meditate today, pulled through and I'm starting to feel a lot calmer, both in poker & outside of poker.

have a 50bb stack in the B11 so there might be some dreadful hours of 1-tabling ahead of me, after that I'll get some sleep and try out the new stars schedule tomorrow.

So didn't get too much sleep last night & really in a study mood, therefore I will spend the rest of the day studying and analyzing my database, + watching a vid or two of the stable.

Moving

So yea recently been seriously considering moving. Still have an ant problem whenever I drop some f*cking breadcrumbs, which is just really frustrating & a big distraction in such a small apartment.
Been looking at my options, and in this area bigger apartments just aren't that common, the ones that are just don't seem worth the price. So I've been thinking about what I really want, and honestly I'd like a place where there is a little more to do. Before I came to Thailand my dream was to have a house at the beach, grind the early morning and then just head to the gym/beach/whatever.
Right now I really like the area/people here, but there just isn't that much to do besides gym, mall & markets, now that I've seen most 'nice spots' around here. Therefore talked about it with my gf and we've decided to look into moving to Koh Samui.

Now for me it's really easy, I can cancel my lease, pack my bags and take the next flight there. For my gf who has family/work here it's a bit more complicated. I'm happy with our current relationship so wouldn't be too happy about going on my own, which would basically mean having to break it up. She's currently got a decent job that she likes, but she absolutely hates her boss (crazy cat-woman that got dumped by some farang that promised to take her to his mansion back in the US, so she takes it out on the one employee with a foreign bf).
So she's now looking if she can find a new job, preferably online as well. There are tons of those jobs available around here, salary can't get that much worse since she earns about 250$/month now for a 55hr/week job. Besides that kind of have to await the response of her parents, since in thailand parents have a lot of say in what their children do even when they're grown up.

If all that goes smoothly the plan is to head to koh samui after scoop to see how it is around there & find a place, then we'd move before I get my new visa (and I'd get an edu visa this time). Really looking for a nice small house/1-2br apt in a quiet area near the beach. Wouldn't mind being far away from nightlife/tourist spots/western cuisine whatsoever, if anyone's got some tips please hit me up.

Plan for this week is to grind every day and add a session on saturday morning, ev has been alright recently (6), but it's still under my goal. Definitely in a winning mood so we'll see where it takes us.

How much are you paying for your place right now? I'm curious what I can expect if I wanted to move to Thailand.

I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for 2017, and I figured Thailand could be a good option (eastern europe considered too)

My current place is 5000 baht (<150$), which is probably the cheapest you can go if you still want western facilities (modern/normal bathroom/having a desk etc.).
If you want a better location in bangkok with a nicer/bigger room, a 500/600$ budget can get you a really nice place.

I'd guess thailand is reasonably similar to eastern europe, I'm also polish and prices seem to be roughly the same there.

Solid choice I'm jealous Would like to move closer to the beach but sadly my GF has to be located around bkk for work. Hope you can find a decent place and your gf is able to move.

The girl moving to koh samui is going to be a bit of a Irishmen I think. Do get parents even know that you live together? Would be pretty hard for her to pull off moving down south with you, the family situation will be a tough one for her to maneuver.

Yea they know she stays with me most of the time right now, they're kind of ok with it but don't love the idea. I mean, I'm not delusional. I know the only reason they even allow her to stay with me is because I'm a foreigner and they perceive me as rich. It's a real big no-no around here to stay with someone you're not married to apparently.
Then again, think there's a decent chance they'll let her go with me for the same reason they let her stay with me now.

Holy sh*t this new schedule is amazing

So yea was already excited upon seeing it, but experiencing It was better than I could ever imagine.
Started out at 7 with 10 tables, was able to keep this up until 10, actually had to skip some smaller games due to the large amount of games available. Between 10-13 I hovered between 7-10 tables, no problems there either, stopped regging around that point as well so I can now pretty much just play whenever I want. Really excited about this as this will improve my life EV infinitely.

Over the 7 hours that I played I got in 37 games & 3.2k hands (evbb/100 was 7). Had plenty of deep runs including a bunch of hyper runs, 35th in H27, 22nd in 27T, 5th in 16.50 hyper & 3rd in a 22$ fo on party.

No big scores but all these runs combined made for a nice +150$ day.

Feeling really good about the new schedule and my game so I'm going to take a break and then either study or play a small second session.

Pretty good day overall, evbb at a solid 9bb/100 again so everything seems to be going well.
Got in 33 games, won roughly 800$. Had a lot of disappointing deep runs: 14&16th in hypers, 14th in 22$ deep on 888 & f3t in H27, but luckily I managed to end the day with a bang.

Also fwiw the structure of the BB's seems to be really solid, plays out pretty deep but not so much that the ft bores you to death. So yea, big fan of the changes.
