I like the idea of that, but really I eat out everyday. When I don't I order in food or get 7/11 meals, so don't really need to save time on that. Might use it sometime when I get myself a kitchen.
So before I go into poker I feel like going on a rant about technology, since it's really been pissing me off these last couple of days, and what better place to do it then here.
So first of all my hotel internet hasn't been working for the last couple of days, tried asking the staff but they barely speak English. In the end a woman came up with me, literally looked at my screen and said 'It no work'. After giving me that insightful information she left and ever since I've been depending on my mobile network. Disconnected a couple of times during my session, and there's just nothing more painful to a poker player than watching your timebank count down when you have aces in a hyper turbo.
So besides my internet already being a pain in the ass, none of my webbrowsers seem to work. Chrome and Mozilla don't load any page whatsoever for no apparent reason at all (can't even open the 'extensions' tab f.e.), so I'm having to deal with internet explorer.
Last on the list, some people asked for pictures. Walking through touristy spots in Bangkok it made me wonder: what's up with everyone always taking pictures of everything when they go places?
So often I see people go places, they come, grab their camera, take a bunch of pictures and leave. Each to his own, but personally I'd much rather just enjoy the place when I'm there, instead of remembering how great it was afterwards, which it probably even wasn't since all you were doing is taking pictures.
Will however follow up and try to take some pictures for the thread sometime.
Anyway, despite just having written an essay full of complaining, had a great weekend and I'm really starting to fall in love with Thai people / culture. Have nothing but good things to say about the locals, not a single negative experience with anyone, despite the many stories / warnings people always give when you talk about Bangkok.
As for poker, got up at 3am to grind today, ended up starting at 3:45. It seemed to be a big losing session but in the end I managed to get a 5th place in a $13.50 TKO for 500$. Lost a lot for the list I sold % from, but thanks to the TKO my bankroll is up over 200$ today.
Man I really love TKO's btw
