tbh I find 6-8 tables really slow now and a bit boring which leads to not concentrating and checking my email and stupid stuff at the same time.

10-12 I am quite happy with.

I really had one of the days where i just could not flop anything remotely decent.

You know the days ... AK sees Qxx f, AQ sees Kxx, KQ sees AQx and they have the K... it just seemed to go on and on.

All standard stuff im sure .. just keep playing solid and the tide will turn.

I can remember two hands that merit talking about.

Lost $4.36 tonight and down $36 for the month.

Only notable pot I lost tonight was this. Had previously taken a few pots off this villain just before this hand so I wasent as concerned when he raised me as I felt he was more likely playing back to prevent getting bullied and was possibly on a drawing hand.

Had to do a 10 hour shift 7 days in a row at work so Poker time has been limited. Last few sessions been good.

Bankroll is now $743 and the general consensus seems to be I should be moving up soon to 25nl so may take the leap at $750 which means I could spend my FPPs and pretty much move up.

Also at the start I said there would be no time limit on reaching 100NL, whilst that still stands I think its important to still set goals. So the goal will be to reach 100NL before 2015. If I dont get there in time I will still continue until I reach it.

      Here is tonights session:

      Hi,

I'm doing a 6-max challange and my bankroll stand at $470. I'm planning on taking my first shot at 550$ and if I lose 2 buyins go down again to 16nl. If I even drop down to 400 i will start with 10nl. So I will never lose to much to quick.

If you fear this then take a look at tiltbreaker. i've set it for a 25$ loss in a session so I can never spew away to much If got onlucky or steamy). I've hit that mark a few times and it was better that I quit at that point so the money it costs is well spend ( believe it was 20 / 40 $ or something.

My advice ( and this is what I'm doing at the moment):

      - Start taking small shots if you are feeling and running well at the 25nl. even if it just to get a feel for it.

      - Take a look into tiltbreaker. you can setup many things and you will earn it back really quick ( much quicker then lets say HM )

      - take a look into grinderschool. very cheap and lots and lots of video's and stuff for our stakes. also many fullring video's. (advise: be a member for 1 month and download everything for 20$)

Yeh its annoying when everything else starts piling up and it feels like you dont have time for anything. Hope this year goes well for you anyway, we both need to start pushing ourselves to move up to where we should be.

      Greetings from Holland
Thanks for the advice and welcome.

I think moving down after losing 2 BIs would just frustrate me way too much.

Yeh I have trialed tilt breaker before, but wasent sure it was worth the money. I am better at dealing with Tilt these days and I naturally want to end my session after I lose a few bad hands like set over set or AA losing to KK all in pre. But if I feel I have probs here I will take another look at tilt breaker.

Yeh grinderschool I have seen some videos from there before that were good. My main problem right now is time. I am allowed to listen to audio while I am at work but obv I cant view videos or anything.

So I will try get a hold of some poker audiobooks if there is anything decent out there. Kool ill check your thread out.

ok Bankroll is $743 plus I am 74% of the way to a $10 bonus so we can count that as $7.40 in bonus money.

      $743 + $7.40 = $750.40 that gives us 30 BIs for 25nl

If I lose 7 BI ($175) we move back to 10nl

      Ok $25nl lets do it.

Ill start off with 10 tabling. I'll post any hands were I get stacked or overly confused.

Ok first session at the move up to 25nl, it wasen't all pretty but..

I'm dissapointed in myself with the following hand and was the only time I got stacked. This hand come shortly after I lost an all in on the flop with a set 999 and villain called with 10, 10 and rivered a 10, so I was perhaps tilting slightly. I have saved in my notes that I read over before I play:

"JJ and QQ have the ability to ruin a session if played carelessly"
"Fold to big river bets with 1 pair"

In hindsight the check on the flop looks like a mistake, but at the time I was concerned I was up against AA or KK so didnt want to inflate the pot.

On the river I know I should have folded. The timer went down to 1 sec then I panic clicked call.

I thought about betting, but my final thought process was..

"he was likely on a flush draw, if he has missed he wont put any more into the pot on the river. But if he had the flush all along he will for sure come over the top of me if I bet and then I will be forced to fold my set"
