Gl man, keep with it. I started off at 2nl. I'm grinding 50nl now. I think the key is session reviews.

Hey! first of all GL to ya i'm sure you can pull it off with good work ethic and focusing on improving.

One thing I have to ask tho is: why do you only post results everyday? Everyone (decent) talks about how you shouldn't be results oriented, but just from the fact that you seem to ONLY ever post results in a blog thread seems like you may be falling into the trap.

You mentioned earlier you weren't gonna post hands that were badbeats/coolers but aren't there a ton of interesting hands left? I've gone thru the ranks myself starting at lower stakes and moving up and I know that each time I'd have coaching i'd find a ton of interesting spots where I could question my play and even thought it wasn't necessarily me doing something wrong, it was an interesting spot that could be discussed/dissected and it'd lead to me improving my thought process.

I guess all I'm saying is since you've committed to making a blog, you might as well make it so you get something out of it other than just posting your day by day results (which you see in HEM anyway...).

Take care and wish you all the best

first of all let me thank you for the feedback.

i don't post hands because most of times when i have some interesting hands i post them in the 2p2 regs skype group or show them to my backer/coach. so when i have doubts about some hands i just ask him. and about posting the results, i'm not result oriented i just keep people updated with my progress, that's all. other than that, i don't know what exactly i should post here. i will try to post some interesting hands from time to time and maybe say some jokes or post moar pics ))

no probs. yeah, I got that you post results to keep ppl updated what I meant to say was that your progress, which you are trying to keep updating, is not only represented by the $ amounts that you win/lose but by a ton of other factors, and that's what I meant to say when i was talking about you falling into the trap of results-orientedness is that you seem to (obv basing this only from the posts i've read itt) see your progress in poker as how much you win.

I guess you could try to take a look at other ppl's threads and draw inspiration on what to focus on from there, however I can't say I can help with that as I don't remember off-hand any such threads. maybe others do?

Either way here's a nice quote from a thread i was reading earlier:

Quote:
I used to play 100nl on Stars and was always focused on making as much money as possible instead of improving as a player. IMO 100nl is too low of a level to simply accept stagnation as a player. I have always strived to crush whatever endeavors I've put my energy in, and poker should be no different. Rakeback should always be in the backseat while improving my play and moving up the stakes should be my primary objective if I really want to continue with poker as my main source of income.
