more to do with the fact that i don't flat in MP/CO, unless deep stacked with villain. i play a linear range and that range includes 99. reason i choose to do this is that the alternative is too tricky for me to figure out. i don't know how to flat call preflop and not be crushed by a good villain otb.

i think i would have to be flat calling opens with AA-QQ and i think it's higher EV to always 3bet these hands in the zoom games where blinds are more likely to fast fold when UTG opens, so less likely to squeeze. because of the fact i'm rarely/never flatting with the nuts pre, my overall flatting range is very weak so can't defend vs 3bets. Because of this I made the decision to just 3bet all the hands i wana play and fold the rest.

Its not that big of a deal capping your range pre (eg no QQ+) as long as you are aware of what ranges hit what boards then and how to construct your ranges postflop according to that

why you dont want a calling range mp vs utg?

seems like theres more reasoning behind flatting wider range (even including such strong holdings like QQ, AK) than 3betting linear range with hands like 99

Just had session with chillskill. We talked about having a flatting range in MP/CO so will be implementing that into my game as well as some other more subtle tweaks!

Obv was downswinging a bit in first pic, and on a heater atm, but still a massive improvement in red line from downwards sloping to what is now pretty horizontal. I also put in a lot of work myself away from the tables, reviewing sessions hands etc, reading janda's book, just discussing poker with people beating higher limits motivates me quite a lot to push myself to improve and move up

Exam tomorrow and thursday, then home from uni for mothers day etc then the week after 3k hands minimum a day to get some good volume in!

one of the worst sessions i've had at 100nl

thankfully my pretty redline kepy me somewhat a float, in the past i recon this session woulda been down like $700~

had set over set a few times, people flopping sets vs my OPs ... people nit rolling with nut flush otr, pretty tilting in some spots although I had a friend sweating me so when i jammed in the KQ hand ( i will post below ) and he time banked with the nut flush, when he finally called and showed it was like

' WHAT!?!? '




Vs some players I would just call in this spot, this guy was a fish so I think jam is defo fine, don't think i'm value cutting myself that much
