Sick volume and congratz on the results. Do you 4 table zoom? How many hours in March?
Good luck in reaching your goals!
ty man. i play 4 tables yes. i played 136.5 hours including breaks. in reality i played 116.7 hours (you have to divide your hands played by your hands/hr in hm2 to know this number, i think). in the last 7-8 days of march, i didn't play much.
interesting question. there is certainly a descent gap. as mentionned before, worst rec ratio at 200z ainec, regs are better (also you often see 400nl 600nl 500z regs at 200z) and 200z bad regs are better than 100z bad regs in general.
but at some point you realize 200z is still a nice pool to play in (for now anyway) and you simply need to be serious about poker to compete.
do you play prolonged marathon sessions? or many short sessions throughout the day?
I find I subconsciously lose focus and start making mistakes in longer sessions. I can focus good for around 1.5-2 hour mark. anything 4 hour+ I usually start to spew. what's your experience with this?
i never played more than one session per day. i have no idea how people do it haha. when i'm done, i want to feel done for the day. my sessions last about 5 hours and 30 minutes (including breaks). i actually play about 4 hours and 30 minutes (one 10-15 minutes break to eat a meal, and a lot of 5 minutes breaks).
i agree with you, i think it's tough to play A game if you play for 2 hours straight or more.. altho you can practice this i'm pretty sure.

hmmm idk if you'r serious (10 hours is a ****load) but i'll answer.
8-12 hours per day could be a good idea depending on what lifestyle you want (or where you are in your life etc). i like the idea of playing loads of hours like a degen, redbull adderall etc. party and video games on week end and on week days as well why not, you don't know when you'r gonna go to sleep/wake up. add a little study and this sick volume (8-12 hours per day, 4-6 days a week) could help you a lot.
i associate playing those kind of hours with a degen lifestyle because i cant see a balance lifestyle playing 8-12 hours a day. playing 4-6 hours per day give me time to see friends/family/gf a lot, read books, study poker, do sports and work out. but yea playing like 8 hours you could have a non-degen lifestyle obvsly but id have to cut a bunch on all the things i mentioned.
today was a great day. first of all those comeback days always feel good. but this one in particular. i played a lot of A game, took a lot of breaks, injected a lot of logic. monday was similar. another nice mental win today, i knew at 3/4 of the session that i probably was making a nice comeback and so i wanted (badly) to stop for the day. but i grinded until i reached 2k vpps, as always.
i mentioned before i ran great at the end of march, and even better in april if it's possible. i'm obvsly loving it but i'm working my upswing mental game, i start every session very seriously and thinking today is gonna be tough etc. this is my graph so far in april, winning a bunch despite losing at 500z!!
lifewise not much going on. winter soccer is over, i'll start summer soccer in may, i'll be playing two leagues. no snowboarding in summer obvsly, so other sports i'll be playing are volley-ball, tennis, street hockey and wallyball.
i finished a book called outliers by malcom gladwell. i wouldnt recommend it, its good stuff but very redundant and 2 or 3 newspaper articles would have done the job.

hey guys. that's my graph since last update. the heaters are gone :/ ! i won over 2bi at 500z and lost a ****load at 200z. overall i didn't like my mental game during this stretch. i played A game over half the time i think but i would have like to play it at least 80-85% of the time, i thought i was gonna do good mentalgame-wise during my next DS. this was thursday to sunday so games were great obvsly . since i was losing and it was the weekend, i had poor discipline in regards to studying, working out and reading. played video games and watched netflix a bunch. i'm still over the 100k yearly goal pace for the month, which is great. btw idk if i mentioned this before but the 100k goal is including rakeback.
so the short term goal is to have a great disciplined week. study everyday, gym, get up early and play a lot of A game. i'll wait to have 2 or 3 nice sessions in a row before going back to 500. don't feel like writing much else for now!
same here, been up at 400 and 500 ( small tho ) since I started shot taking bumhunting or just no giving a shhit, but been downswinging/breakevening at 200 wich is obv hilarious and ***** stupid
back on ****ing track! tho the running under EV is slowly starting to get to me (am under for january/feb/march as well). 200z pool was ugly yesterday and today, 500z wasnt so bad at all but i didnt play it, wanted to recover from DS. will shot it for sure in the next few days!
wanted to post pictures of my apartment because this is a blog after all. but it's messy-ish so my gf doesnt want me to lol. will do it next update. things going on life-wise.. hmmm i'm playing baldur's gate 2 enhanced edition and brawlhalla on PC. also clash royale on my cellphone. not gaming too much as always, once or twice between thursday and sunday. i'm reading a ton, currently 'The 7 habits of highly effective people' , which had insane reviews and is as good as advertised. i'm also reading LOTR2, only read those books once when i was a kid (pretty tough read for a kid) and obvsly love the movies. i read the first last fall and watch the movie afterwards with gf, it was a particularly nice re-watch.
sorry that i dont talk much about what i do in regards to poker/study poker but i'm a bit paranoid those days. you can pm me tho.

strat hand. i would appreciate thoughts on all streets, what frequencies/sizing to use. i was a bit puzzled after the hand (things are a bit awkward-ish range wise idk). maybe i'm just bad cause it also seems std.
i overthink a bit in those spots. but when i know that the pool will prob never bluff in my shoes on river, i kind of have a problem if he never has A6-AT, Jx (cause Jx would bluff earlier streets) and fold KK-QQ.
today started like this. when i was winning like 300, i took a break and was tempted to stop for the day: it's friday, i have played poker every single day in april and i have played video games like once or twice. thought better of it and went on with grinding. won another 300 in like 5 minutes. took another break and now i think i'm done for today haha. i will read and play video games today, tonight i actually have a poker home game with friends (love those, love drinking and saying ****).
i think it's fine to take a day off obvsly after 14 straight days of playing but a little voice in my head is telling me that i'm not being very disciplined. prob a good thing, that little voice should help me not get into bad habits. i would have played if 500z was good but it was like 80 entries with 6 fishes last couple of hours, which is lol. 500z is often soft outside of my normal playing hours, i may move my daily schedule around a bit this summer.
btw if any of you think this is a mental leak/error, i would like to hear about it!
