what poker books did you read when starting out cash game poker (if any)?

read harrington back in the days. in 2013 i read jenda gto book, it's descent. i got better in 2013-2015 by playing a lot and having ah-ha moments about bluffing, valuing, etc. playing a lot of hours, medium table count (too much or too few is not good imo) is the best.. good for you if you have the time/discipline to study away from the tables. for exemple i was a rakeback grinder for majority of 2012/2013 (lots of tables) and i learned a lot less then during 2014/2015.

i started studying more away from the tables in the last part of 2015, because i wanted a big 2016/2017. but with stars rakeback changes and all the pessimism i read on 2+2, i'm not too thrill about the future obv.

i bought a couple of tickets for christmas for my dad, he used to do the same for me when i was a kid. we had a fun little trip.



this is my graph of the hands i played since the last graph i posted. not much to say, ran bad. i tilted a lot today but i took a break and injected logic and all that crap and it worked. so mental training is paying off, theory as well. all is good. i'm still over the 100k$ pace for the month (5bb/100 or so), which is pretty nice.. probably gonna play more than expected for march, good thing cause i'll have one or two vacations this summer. hands:

considering our equity on flop, this fish probably slightly tilted at showdown.





big blind is 33/7 bronzestar, no other stats really. utg+1 is 15/12/7.1 regfish .. 56 wwsf, likes to bet. i feel this is an ok spot to fold right?

first of all, with info on fish + his line, i think he could be strong sometimes (in other situation, id assume the fish has 88 or something a lot of the time). and obvsly the regfish could have a better hand than us.





utg is 32/26/0 ... very small sample
utg+1 is 47/13/7.1
both dont seem particularly aggro or passive
i was a bit lost. we need to win 18% of the time. what do you guys think?

flop may be closer than turn but that doesn't mean the hand "plays itself" lol

KQo would fold preflop even getting really good pot odds.. gonna be hard to realise equity with a 50bbs stack CC'ing a 3bet and vs an MP 3bet range w/o position, gonna end up burning money postflop most of the time, no brainer fold on the turn as is the AT hand on the river, would be surprised if both didn't had a s8

right on ty. i asked because i thought those spots maybe werent really close after all.

today was bittersweet. i had a ridiculous heater at the end of my session (last 750 hands) and i thought i was up somewhere between 2 and 6 BI before the beginning of that heater. turned out i was down -4 BI when the heater started. i had to checked results to see my 10bi+ session and was quite disappointed haha. it's still a great day obvsly.
