He was playing 4NL for awhile. A lot of runbad as well as shoving in marginal situations. Far be it from me to give Doug any advice, especially since I'm a LOL low stakes live player and I've never played a hand online in my life, but I know when I sit at a $1/$2NL table while awaiting a seat in a $2/$5 game, I have to adjust my game because many $1/$2 players will not fold and it's no use trying to bluff them with a river shove. I just can't imagine trying to bluff shove a river online when you're playing for virtual pennies. And that's where Doug has been getting killed all night.

Made a few obvious punts though, like calling a cold 4-bet all in for ~200bb with AK pre, lost to KK.

I think it was a combination of running bad and non-optimal play, to put it that way. There are also a few decent players who are "bumhunting" him for the bragging rights, some table lineups were tougher that you would expect at the micros.

hence is why hes been shoving light all night aswell, but kept running into their nutted range at those times instead of the "curiousity range". Variance.

Regardless of results still gotta respect the mad grind.

I am confident Doug can make the right adjustments and be right back on track. You simply can't play micros like you play highstakes, rake is too high. Maybe he will win regardless but it might take a very long time to get out of the 2nl dumpster. All that's required to win massively at these stakes is being a nit postflop, stab once boards where you have immediate fold equity and don't call 4bets and 5bets with marginal holdings.

Did WCG take any props on this? I saw something about it when he first mentioned doing the $100-$10k challenge in like a month span or something which at this point I think would be very unlikely given the loss of nearly 50BI last night.
