Recently I turned a $20 deposit into $194 in a few weeks. I won a 90 man SNG in that time for about $124 tho so that was mainly why. I had to cashout to have money for this trip I was goin on but I left $10 in the account. I now want to see if I can turn $10 into $1000. I know this will be a challenge and I believe I can do it. The only thing stopping me is BR management. That has been my weakness in the past. I start to play levels to high for my BR and then when I lose i continue on that level or go even higher to try and get it back. I know this is the weakness of many players and am looking to fix it.

So first off, I am going to try and do this challenge through SNG's as I'm not that good at cash games. I am mainly looking for what type of BR management should be used for this challenge. Like at first with just the 10 i have i will do the lowest level of SNG's but when is it time to move up a level?
Thanks for the help

What site are you playing on? The .25c entries on Stars would be the way to go for you to start out. Avoid the $1.00+.20 at all costs as the 20% rake is ridiculous. I'd recommend moving up to the $2.25's once you have $112.50 in your account. Grind that up to $412.50 and then give the $5.50's a shot. Play the $5.50's all the way to $1,000.

1.) $0.25 (rake free) on Stars until $112.50 (50 Buy-Ins)
2.) $2.00+.25 on Tilt/Stars until $412.50 (75 Buy-Ins)
3.) $5.00+.50 (or $6.00+.50 if you prefer turbo) to $1,000.
4.) $10.00+1.00 to the moon and beyond !

If at any time you drop 25 buy-ins at a given level, move back down and grind your way back up, I.E. once you go to the $2.25's if your account drops back to $56.25 or lower, move back to the .25 tourneys.

That would be my recommendation for the greatest chance of success without going bust for this challenge. If you had an extra $40 ($50, I'd recommend just starting with the $2.25's but with only $10, you could bust very easily).

Best of luck.

P.S. These are only general guidelines, it would be recommended in my personal opinion to play 1000 or so games at each stake before moving up so you are sure you are beating that stake with a reasonable ROI. However, at the micro level, that shouldn't really be necessary as the games are very soft.

Lastly, check out this thread. Also, this one contains most of the basic information you are looking for.
