Yeaaaa, I'm kinda messed up lol, my dad's a huge Bears fan and I've been a lifetime Packer fan. Also been a huge Hawks fan my entire life, I played travel hockey for the Rockford Roadrunners for 5-6 yrs and played hockey for a total of 8 years so hockey has always been a big part of my life. I quit playing in high school after tearing my rotator cuff and labrum in my right shoulder.

Good questions, in terms of my BR I basically have an unlimited br as I'll be backed for the SNE grind. I did this mainly because I don't want to ever have to sweat money while I'm out of the country, and even though I've done well the last 3 months, I came home from Vegas pretty much broke and in debt, so I didn't want to chance starting off on a big downswing and running into a money crisis. I got a really good deal though with my backer and we've had a good relationship throughout the Merge stake so I'm glad we reached an agreement for the SNE grind.

To go more into detail though about the br req'd to grind these $30 hypers, I'd suggest $6000-7500. I'm just coming off a 260 BI downswing on Merge but with a 70/30 payout structure and a 10 bb start with a terrible structure compared to PS on Merge, you're going to naturally have more big swings. I've done quite a bit of research on some of the stars $30 hyper grinders, and for the most part, I haven't seen too many swings over $4500ish, but those big downers will certainly happen.

In terms of sofware that I use, I run TN and HEM while I grind and use sng wiz/nash calcs/icmizer to study with. I have a pretty elaborate HUD setup compared to most sng grinders (and hyper grinders especially) I'm sure. 4 lines and color coordinated with 3 colors on each stat



And if you're a reader of my past pg&c threads, you'll know that I'm not one to keep myself to an actual schedule in terms of waking up at X time, eating at X time, playing from X-X etc...I usually just sleep whenever and play when I feel like I'll be on my A game and want to play; luckily that is usually quite often. I'm going to try to get myself onto a halfway decent sleep schedule though once moving, probably get up ~7 or 8am Rosarito Beach time so that my first session comes during primetime and the second sesh has some of primetime hours in it.

I think this is going to be something that I'll shoot for as a normal day
7:30 am: wake up/shower/eat/read 2p2
9:00 am-1pm: grind-$30 hypers/mtts only
1-2pm: eat/read 2p2/relax
2pm-5pm: grind-$30 hypers/mtt's to start(tail end of primetime), add 18s, turbo 6m or fifty50's if needed at end of sesh to keep table count up
5pm-7pm: eat/relax/2p2/whatever
7pm-9pm: grind-$30 hypers/mtts along with other 6-18's throughout
9pm-midnight: anything but grinding
midnight or 1am: sleep

Oh and I don't know of anybody else grinding for SNE with $30 hypers as their main game, I know some guys mix them in at the start/finish of their sessions

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to say making SNE will be 'easy' for you, but 500 games a day minimum really doesn't seem all that bad, esp if you can maintain 100-125 an hour (or God forbid, even higher than that). You've even worked in some days off. I think you'll be well on your way, my friend!

Just one comment: Don't pidgin hole yourself into one specific subset of poker; You never know how the winds of poker will change in the next year. Take a few days a month to play some other type of poker that you enjoy. Maybe that's just one or two Sunday a month you play normal MTTs, just don't let your overall skills as a poker player atrophy.

Haha for sure man, I definitely don't want to get cocky at all and say it'll be easy for me, but I think I've laid out a plan for success. I think one of the main things is to be on pace when the WSOP comes around, one of the worst things you can do is fall behind pace.

Least for you Merge grinders I'll be gone soon ; well I've barely played this month so it's like I'm gone already .

Yea I definitely know what you mean there. I'm sure during the different series that run throughout the year I'll take Sundays where I just grind a lightish MTT schedule. The other thing I can do is mix in some cap games just to change gears for a session to keep everything fresh and interesting.

Thx , and yea I know they have the hyper satties but I honestly don't really want to play them. I'd rather just play regular sng's as the variance in the $74s is pretty hectic even compared to the regular hyper turbos (just because of the structure). It's definitely possible though that I'd grind the $74s to the swu and mil though on sunday mornings/afternoons.

Thx . I don't really think I'm that structured, but I guess compared to most people I really am. Both my parent's like to have every single detail mapped out with everything they do in life, so I probably get that from them.

Well I ended up not playing any more poker tonight, played a bit of CoD but mostly just sat on skype and BS'd with people and then also reviewed about 15 HH files of a friend of mine who plays hyper's on PS. Was good to get some study material as the PS hypers are certainly quite a bit different than the Merge super turbos.

Tomorrow will be a busy day IRL, definitely won't be putting any volume in. Spending pretty much the entire day with my BFF Lori, her and I are gonna go to a couple malls plus we have to get my 2 suitcases as my old one broke on my trip home from Vegas, and then gonna go to Olive Garden with my family. Should be a great day, hopefully we get some good weather to make it even a bit better .
