About Myself

I'm a 22 year old and currently plays poker on Stars as a form of leisure and hobby. I've been a losing player ever since i started playing, breaking even only due to the bonus/rakeback with the huge volume I've put in.

The reason i've decided to create this thread and this being my first post is i want to use this as a motivation to get me through the inevitable huge downswings, a place for me to rant when i run bad and of cause brags when i run good

I must admit i have been very lucky so far, being so close to busting my roll countless of times. However, the poker gods decided to bless me by hitting me with a milestone hand and that got me $430( had $150 left as my roll). Sadly, within a week i lost 3/4 of it at NL25 due to mega tilt and spewing.

The next morning, with around $100 left as my roll, i registered for 3 tourneys putting my whole roll on the line, one of the tourney being $55 buy-in Nightly Thirty Grand( cant recall the other 2). Being the luckbox I am, i won most of the big flips and final tabled the Nightly 30k. Eventually i got 3rd place for $3.2k and all of a sudden i have a huge roll. I cant describe how happy i felt that the shot-taking paid off, and proceeded to grind at nl25 deep and nl50.

Alas, i lost $800 in 2weeks, decided to withdraw $2k and use the $500 and 50k fpps(around $650) as my roll. Since then, I've purchased HEM and grind at NL10 deep stacked.

This is my graph ever since i bought HEM,

Goals

-16.7k Vpps monthly(200k Vpps/year) But realistically achieving Supernova will be my main goal

- Min $400 profit at NL10 deep stacked monthly.

-Update this thread at least weekly once 2012 get into way.

-Will post graphs and interesting hand histories along the way.

On a sidenote, as I'm still currently working full time, i will not be playing tons till late Feb when i intend to resign then. Till then, may everyone run good at the tables and a Happy 2012 in advance!

Yup, it wont be easy, but definitely achievable. Im averaging 12k vpp monthly now and im working full time. So once i quit my job, i guess i'll be doing 20k average monthly. Anyway thanks for the wishes and good luck at the tables!

And for moving up, im feeling more comfortable at nl10, will move up if my roll reaches around $2.5k. Problem is at nl25 deep stacked the tables dont run as much as nl10. So its abit hard to get decent volume as well

    Biggest pot won

Pretty standard for this hand, hit bottom set 4way and decided to lead half pot, button instant re-raise and at this point I'm pretty sure he had big pockets. I tanked for 10secs to make him think that I'm having a tough decision to make and then shove over the top. Villian then went into his timebank and typed, " I dont have a good feeling about this", "JJ?". I replied "9 10clubs", he tanked for another 10secs and called.
