http://pokerstudygroups.com

When you are trying to improve your skills as a poker player, you know how difficult it can be to implement all the strategies you have just learned into your game. There may be times when you just cannot grasp the concept of certain material right away. In other times you can find yourself in awful long stretches without winning a penny. Not to worry… other poker players find themselves in these same situations. Since this is the case, it could be advantages for you to get together with other poker players to study and practice your game as a group. Joining http://Pokerstudygroups.com is a good way to connect and learn with other poker players who share the same ambitions to help and improve your knowledge and skills of the game poker.
http://pokerstudygroups.com is free.

THE STUDY GROUPS

Start and join poker study groups.
It is important to have a group of poker players you can talk to and share ideas with. If you look around you will see there are many groups of successful poker players everywhere. They met each other early in their poker careers and are now enjoying their success together. Players that are part of a group have an edge over opponents that don’t have group to back them up.

Private Forum
Each group has its own private forum where you can discuss hand histories and bounce ideas of one another. You can use your forum however you see fit. If you start your own group, you are the administrator and have all the privileges that come with that responsibility.
Private video section
Record your sessions and upload them to your group. Your poker buddies can watch and comment on your sessions at a time of their choosing. Just make sure that you don’t record much more than 20 minutes of you sessions. A recording of 20 minutes of 4 tabling will take around 60 min to analyze and comment on.

ARTICLE SHARING CENTER

The article sharing center is a collaborative effort to index all interesting poker articles and forum posts available on the internet. Whenever you come across an article or forum post of which was helpful with improving to your poker skills, you are encouraged to share this with the rest of the Poker Study Groups members. By doing so, this will become an indexation of all hidden poker information treasures on the internet. We are already far on our way, so check it out and join the effort!

NETWORKING

A poker friend
Finding a poker friend is the best thing you can do as a poker player. Having a poker friend also helps your development as a poker player. A poker friend knows or will learn the way you play and can help you find leaks and offer insight on how to fix those leaks. This is a two way street. Every poker player has leaks and so will your friend. You will learn the way your friend plays and in turn you will help your friend wit finding leaks and plugging them. You will help each other become better poker players.

It is best to find friends at your own stakes and skill level. It is not as beneficial to find friends who are much better then you. When you don’t play the same games and don’t play against the same opponents, you will not know how the fish at your respective levels think. Decisions in poker are often very close and can be the difference between winning and losing sessions. http://Pokerstudygroups.com makes it very easy to find others at your stakes and skill level. Besides that, pokerstudygroups.com gives you all the communication tools you need.

Instant messaging
Audio/Video chat
Screensharing tool
Chatrooms
Profiles
Blogs
Etc….

So… what are you waiting for? Come and join us at http://pokerstudygroups.com for free.

Feel free to post your newly created study groups in this thread to get new members for your study group faster.

There have been so many scams posted about using screen sharing that I hope people are more suspicious of using it! Otherwise this sounds like a reasonable idea.

The screen sharing tool is just one of the features of the site, it is just something you could use if you wanted too.
You can prevent yourself from being scammed by pre-recording your sessions and replay them during the meeting. I find this more effective anyway, since you can pause the video every time you get to an interesting spot. You get to analyze those hands in more dept.

Re: New (free) website: Start and Join Poker Study Groups

Hello 2+2,

We've decided to go in a different direction. From now on we are called Wet Flop.

The focus has shifted towards social networking. The poker study groups are all still there, but we are still working to bring back the screen sharing, chat and article sharing center.

Some of the new stuff:

The new notifications system will help us communicate much more efficiently. You are able change your settings and chose in what situation you would like to receive a notification.

The new pages feature is similar to the facebook pages. They are integrated in the facebook’s social graph. You will be able to create your own pages change the layout and even add html blocks so you can place your own banners or showcase your own products if you are in the poker business. This makes it possible for you to start make some money with Wet Flop. The pages have lots more feature. Most of them are included in the free page package.

We already started to create pages for popular poker books, courses, training sites and tournaments that most people have read or heard of. With the discussions tab in the pages it is now possible to discuss books without having to join or start a study group.

There are much more new features like user suggestions, events, user connections, more advanced blogs and likes.

Hope to see you soon on Wet Flop
