Jared was a pleasure to deal with, and put aside a copy for me even though I couldn't come up with the cash until a week later. It arrived fast (in Australia) and like I mentioned was in mint condition.

I have not been able to focus on poker seriously for some time, but before I once again prepare to get my butt back in the grinding chair, I will be sure to read this book from cover to cover, as from what I have read so far, it would be foolish not to. Really takes previous material on mental game, mindset theories etc to a much deeper level.

My standards are high

and it's gratifying to know that everything, especially the book, has met yours.

Yeah, I'll pass on the $85 book. I can't imagine it'd be incredibly difficult to get it featured on Amazon.ca if you're already on Amazon.com. Let's not forget, my money is worth more currently... and somehow after exchange I still pay more. So- not a good deal. International shipping is ALWAYS a ripoff.

LOL I thought I was the only one who keeps going to the Kindle Store and searching for either Jared Tendler' name or the title of his book.

I'm committed to getting rid of all of my poker books and only having everything as an ebook. I'm not even considering buying a non-ebook version of The Mental Game of Poker.

I hope it's going to be in the Kindle Store soon. This was announced a while ago. Waiting...waiting.....waiting....tick...tock...tic k....tock...

Amazon sets the shipping rates and the times, and unfortunately I can't adjust it. Choose the $12 rate it'll arrive within 8 days, most likely within 6 days, not the 21-48 days that Amazon says.

The reason I can't feature the book on Amazon.ca is because of their shipping policies. My distributor is out of Arizona and I can't guarantee delivery to CA in 4-10 days for only $6. The only reason I have the book available in the European Amazon's is because Barry is shipping copies from the UK.

Shipping is the biggest issue I've faced and am still working to get it right.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer. The book is being converted and I'd expect to have it available in the Kindle Store by late September. I can't guarantee it will be available by then because it's a complicated book to convert, but that's what I've been told is a reasonable estimate.

I have been doing the same! The last time I bought a paperback was when I knew specifically there probably wasn't going to be a kindle version. I find I read more with Kindle than I used to with an actual book in my hands.

4 chapters in and I am really trying to 'take it slowly' like the book advises! I want to read the book cover to cover but I am consciously trying to read the book one chapter per day and think about the different topics and let the ideas float around my unconscious mind before moving on.

With regards to what I just said "let the ideas float around my unconscious mind before moving on." - is this in any way true and does this have any scientific backing? (I know you did not use this wording yourself in the book) Is this the reason we should read the book slowly? Or are there other reasons why we should read the book slowly?

It's to give you chance to think about what you're reading I'm sure, if you read a new concept and then read another quickly and another - you will forget the depth of the first concept you learnt. Also it gives you a chance to use and or refect on what you are learning. That is how you really learn. The more you put in the more you get out. Sure it would be easy to read the whole book quickly, but you would get a fraction out of it compared with taking your time.

By all means read it cover to cover if thats where your curiosity is naturally taking you, but make sure you re-read and bookmark those sections you really think apply to you, because as IwillSucceed suggests, you need to repeat it a few times for the learning to take place.

I'm responsible for the conversion and haven't yet decided exactly on the price yet. Amazon has some funky rules that I'm trying to work out.
