I took a week off because I coudn't even think straight, like being drunk or something. But I still don't feel like playing poker. Should I take another week off (I don't need the money or anything)? Or did laziness set in after doing nothing for a week? My intelectual mind still seems not to be working well - like the other day I didn't get an obvious joke in a movie and trying to work anythoig out logically almost hurts - but maybe it just needs a jump-start.

Do have a history of being lazy? If not, it's much more likely that you're still a bit toasted mentally. When in periods of really high stress/pressure the body/brain burns a lot of adrenaline/neurotransmitters - so you may still be recovering. If you have the ability to take another week off, try it. You're better off doing that than coming back too soon. If you don't feel any different after two weeks, then maybe a jump start is the way to go. If you're someone that relies on high stress to perform well, you may need to steadily work your way back into a solid state of mind over 4/5days.
Make sense? Help?
